Clarence Clemons — the Big Man with the big horn — died today of complications from a stroke he suffered last weekend, said a source close to Bruce Springsteen. He was 69 years old.

| #2 Posted on 18.6.11 2127.11 | Instant Rating: 8.94 | If you know me, you know this is hitting me like the death of a favourite uncle. The version of If I Should Fall Behind where Clarence plays and sings was our wedding song, and I've been a devoted E Street disciple since the early 80s.
When the stroke happened earlier in the week, I had a bad feeling about it. I knew at the very least that we would never see him live again. But when I heard the news tonight, it hurt pretty badly.
