And even better, he was an arranger for Count Basie. I had the chance to see the orchestra in the 1970's with Basie in a wheelchair. I sure he wasn't with Basie but he must have been a great arranger to wotk with such a fantastic Jazz Orchestra.
I'm very much digging this show. Despite the sometimes-outlandish premise, this really reminds me of classic LA Law, with the morning meetings starting things off, the pennypinching managing partner, and the mix of courtroom drama and personal travails.
