Lots of lasting gifts to the entertainment industry over the years. Sheriff Andy Taylor will always be in my top 10 favorite television characters.

The loss of an icon. Other than the what the article (djp, thanks) linked to, he was a gret storyteller

Never watched the Andy Griffith Show really, but he will always be Matlock to me. He was always great, and the theme song will always be in the top five for me of all time.

RIP

The local radio station was talking about how, if not for Andy Griffith, we'd not have modern cinema as we know it. He gave Ron Howard his start, and Ron Howard changed movies in the 80s-90s and the subsequent 'seven degrees of Opie' made Hollywood very different.

But, he'll always be Sheriff Taylor to me. He's the type of dad you wanted to have. Tough, Fair and Caring.

RIP Andy.

NW: A Face in the Crowd. If I'd been watching this when it debuted, and you had leaned over after the credits and told me that the guy who played Lonesome Rhodes would become one of the most beloved TV dads of all time, I'dve laughed at you.

Granted, at the time this debuted in theaters TV was still considered a passing fad by some, but still.

Godspeed, Andy.

I'm Charlie Owens, good night, and good luck.

That's... not enough episodes. Mystic Force ended up feeling really rushed and all I do when I think of it is wonder how it would rank if it'd been given the time Overdrive was.
