The website I used to actually buy ringtones from has shut down. Does anyone here use a legit site for ringtones. I'm hesitant to use one just off a google search bc I don't want to get text spam. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

What model phone do you have? Oftentimes, its cheaper to edit your own, even if you have to pay for the data transfer to upload them.

You believe me, don't you?

I occasionally use mixxer.com but it changes the name every couple months. Or I go through my provider's website, and get them from there.

Personally, I edit mine from MP3s using Audacity, then transfer them over to my phone using Bluetooth (IR works too). You'll never see a shady pseudo-industry like ringtones making money off me.

I have a Katana 2. I've tried making mine in the past, but wasn't too pleased with the quality. I've gotten some through Sprint as well, but don't like the fact that they tend to expire after awhile. Thanks for the suggestions!

Hrm....sounds like proxy configuration. In IE, go to Tools/Internet Options/Connections and click on the LAN Settings button. Everything in this window should be unchecked. If that's not it, then I got no idea.
