IMO, one of the more underappreicated actors of our time. Such a long and varied career, from westerns to dramas to comdeies, he did it all. I didn't really watch much of either Fantasy Island or Star Trek II, but I got to see him in plenty of other roles. Loved him in the first Naked Gun movie, also liked his voice acting in shows like Kim Possible and Freakazoid. Even just a year or two ago, with the Family Guy ep. with him as a cow, it amazed me that he was still going strong and that he had such a sense of humor about himself .
Based on the wikipedia article, he not just had a long and sucessful career, he had a great life as well with a long lasting marriage, several children, and accolades from all over. I don't think you can ask for anything more. He will be missed. RIP.
We'll be back right after order has been restored here in the Omni Center.
“That the universe was formed by a fortuitous concourse of atoms, I will no more believe than that the accidental jumbling of the alphabet would fall into a most ingenious treatise of philosophy” - Swift
I enjoyed it a lot as well. It wasn't the funniest thing every projected, but there were only a couple minutes where it seemed to drag. It's certainly worth a look in the theatre. And, as a bonus, NBC Thursday was well represented.
