| #1 Posted on 24.2.03 1448.09 | So Da Meltz is now saying the current plan is to have Rhyno heel and be the bodyguard for Matt Hardy. Sounds cool to me, and shows how much Matt Hardy's stock has risen, but you gotta be kinda dissapointed if you're Rhyno. A spot in the evolution group is definitely a better position to be in IMO.| Promote this thread! | | redsoxnation

Hmmmm... let's see... be a non-talking Triple H enhancement talent, or work programs along with a guy whose popularity is rising and whose gimmick has yet to fully play out, and who has even been considered for elevation (the botched Mysterio shelving and Edge feud). You toss Rhyno in with Matt Hardy, and you've got a duo that's got so much potential it's ridiculous. | Underwater

| #5 Posted on 24.2.03 1559.50 | I hate that Rhyno's going to be on Smackdown because I only get Raw, but it's definitely the best thing for him. Whether he teams with Matt Hardy or not, there are so many good workers on Smackdown that can make Rhyno (who is already a good worker and fairly talented wrestler) look like a million bucks in 4-star or higher matches. He deserves it.

| #7 Posted on 24.2.03 1655.56 | Now THAT'S an awesome idea! The big heel bodyguard always works if done right and if this means Rhyno and Mattitude push each other to the top of the card, I'm all for it.
But with him being out for over a year, shouldn't we now be calling him Rhyno Version 2?

| #9 Posted on 24.2.03 1750.09 | I like this, I really do. Rhyno is a great complement for Matt. Thick in body and thick in the head--muscleman for the brilliant cult leader. He won't have to do TOO much talking. Just nod and grin in a disturbing way while Matt rants and exhorts. Something like that. I'm smiling just thinking about it. ;-)

| #11 Posted on 24.2.03 1819.47 | Damn it! i was hoping for the evoluyion Rhyno plan simply because i smelt Rhyno being pushed over HHH sooner then later.
think about it. Rhyno comes into the Evolution and fits in for a few weeks but then he starts getting some of Batista's heavyman jobs, at Batista's expense. Batista has then had enough and takes out Rhyno during a match and suddenly there's a rift in the Evolution. HHH tries to keep the faction together but he's busy dealing with the world title, (either defending it or chasing it).
Rhyno and Batista face off at a PPV with Orton running in on Batista's behalf and costing Rhyno the match. Rhyno confronts HHH to get an ezplanation for his lack of intervention in the situation, but HHH blows him off because he's still to busy.
Batista is THEN found man-handled in the back, with Orton hiding somewhere to not get pulverised by "him". During HHH's next match Rhyno comes out presumably to help him win his No.1 contenders match but gores the spit out of him costing him the match and suddenly HHH has to stand up and take notice. HHH V Rhyno is the obvious conclusion except Rhyno is still pissed off royally and goes over HHH and is propelled into the upper midcard or even the ME.
Even if Rhyno doesn't go over HHH in their fued he'd still have been moved right up the card

My thoughts exactly.
Besides, it will make people hate Matt Hardy more. Think about it, if the little jackass slaps you in the face you hit him back. If he hits you in the face and runs behind say Lennox Lewis, you don't do anything about, so you live your life hating the guy.

| #16 Posted on 25.2.03 0356.48 | | I think this will be a good fit for Rhyno...his best roles have always been when he's been the minimal-talking rage-a-holic thug for a yappy heel (Steve Corino, Edge & Christian). When they broke him away from E & C in 2001 his character really lost it's direction, and since Smackdown already has Brock doing the generic "I'm gonna kill you" promos I think Rhyno is much better off with someone doing his talking for him. | vacheroi

I think there's a difference between being the bodyguard of a world champion/ top draw and being a bodyguard for a rising mid-carder.
Rhyno affiliated with Angle, as the physical equalizer against Lesnar would definitely be cool.

HBK was most definitely NOT a top draw when Nash became his bodyguard. He was a mid-carder...just like Matt Hardy. Nash and HBK pushed each other into the main event and if Rhyno and Matt can do the same to each other, I'm sure that'll make EVERYBODY HAPPY!

I don't think Rhyno or Hardy are as gifted on the mic as Michaels & Nash, but who knows? Maybe lightning can strike twice.
