Well you know something, Mean Gene... Meh, I haven't been too sold on Rhyno. When I first saw him, my first thought was, "Geez, Adam Bomb has really let himself go."

Hah, I thought I was the only one who noticed such a strong physical resemblance between the two. Was it Brian Adams or Clarke?
However, I do like Rhyno, think he's a guy who really has the ability to get over if they'd ALLOW it. I don't see how Vince could've hated Rhyno-Tajiri yet tolerate all those A-Train matches. Or tolerate NATHAN JONES.
Well, I may as well say here that it'd be cool if the WWE combined all of their issues by letting Sean O'Haire, Kanyon, and Rhyno re-visit the Ministry of Darkness angle, thus allowing Kanyon and Rhyno to be intense and psychotic, while O'Haire can be a cool customer cutting evil promos. This could start the slow build for the return of the Deadman Undertaker just in time for Wrestlemania....
Rhyno has always been odd fixture for me. I've changed my opinion on him a couple of times.
In ECW I hated him, I thought his inring stuff was bad, his swearing promos were even worse. I didn't buy him as a interesting performer let alone ECW World Champ. He'd be on top (or very close) to my least favorite ECW Champ in the years that I watched it.
But something strange happened when he went to WWF. He became interesting. He became part of Team RECK, some might say ECK was so good anyone partening with them well get interesting no matter(might have a point). But saying that Rhyno did fit in to it well, and I loved his interaction with his other RECK teammates... And when the Invasion hit and he split from them to join The Alliance, He was still very good. Sure had Heyman shilling his finisher "Gore Gore Gore "(but heck that what a commentator should be doing, not getting over slang terms for women). Rhyno took advantage of it and that move at a time was the most over move in wrestling, with the crowd responding to it ala 3D. I still remember Rhyno vs. Edge KoTR and how fantastic it was. Rhyno got over for me in WWF, maybe because I enjoyed seeing the little cannonball running into big guys of the WWF that got my interest. I truly enjoyed his WWF pre-injury
He's just not the same now, he just doesn't seem to be going full speed. I understand he injured his neck and maybe can't do the stuff he did before. But then you got to adapt something new to compensate for what you can't do anymore and I haven't really seen him doing that. And he has been in the ring with some of the best since his return. He's in there with the Benoit, Eddie's and Tajiri. So he's not being in there with slugs, but his matches with those top workers has been far from great... They haven't done much with his character since his return but he hasn't done anything to WOW anyone either. Now I'm thinking of it he fits perfectly in the Most Deteriorated Wrestler column because he not the same Rhyno as before the injury. I hope he does find a way to compensate for his injury and adapt a style that fits him. But until he does, I'm not going to be too freaked out that he's not a regular on SD.

For the full part of this I mostly agree with you Net Hack Slasher. Rhyno in short has had it pretty rough. I agree he wasn't that good in ECW. He made it to the WWF with the Alliance thing. KoTR was sort of proving ground, which I liked. Yet ever since his return they've misused him and I don't think he's found his nitche since he came back. I think unless he can get a major turn around going soon his day might be numbered in the company.
As Eric Bishoff asks if he's ok I get this message ------------

Rhyno was looking decent when he initally returned and it even looked like he'd added a little bit of technical skill, but what killed Rhyno was the really bad match with Benoit. When you can't have a good match with MOTHERFUCKING BENOIT~, you're in trouble, especially since it was at a critical point in the feud. I'd like to see them give him another chance, but there's also plenty of guys on the Smackdown roster I'd rather see pushed ahead of him, so it's not a real big loss for me.

I hated Rhyno in ECW much like I hate Brock today. Both got pushed WAY too fast to the championship. For whatever reason I got over that and would love to see Rhyno used in some form or fashion. I think he's gotten alot better in WWE than he was in ECW. I'm scared Rhyno's neck is on the line (no pun intended........yeah it was) right now.
Off topic. What is Sean O'Haire being punished for? I've been out of the loop for months now.

He's being punished for either: (a) Roddy Piper being fired (b) having an AWESOME gimmick, which the writers either can't be bothered with or can't write for (c) being a WCW guy (d) not being able to work "main event style"
Yes, I AM being sarcastic, i.e I haven't heard a concrete reason.

At least I can make him kick ass in the new Smackdown game.
