"WWE seems to be unhappy with Rhyno and doesn’t seem that they will be putting him in any meaningful role for him on SmackDown! The main reason seems to be that, in a New York house show a couple of weeks back where Vince McMahon hated his match against Tajiri and embarrassed him in front of the crowd by ending the match telling both stars to take a hike."
Here's an idea ... how about using him as the man-beast heel like he's supposed to be used. So they'll use a no-talent bum like John Heidenreich, but are down on Rhyno? Give me a break.

Granted, he looks all the more powerful to be that thick for his height, but Heidenreich at least is a tall guy (not that I'm making a defense here, just trying to find some justification on WWE's part).
Maybe they can shift him to RAW for a change of pace? | JST

Personally, I like John Hnnrnnr. Sure he's big and yells a lot, but that whole "Little Johnny" angle has me curious enough to watch.

We've seen Hnnrnnr what, twice? Just because a coupla guys sa he worse than Nathan Jones doesn't mean he's the anti-Christ. From what I've seen he's got the big man basics down pat, which is already one up on Jones and Morgan. And as Tod said, his angle's at least interesting.
Oh, and Rhyno was at his best when talking about making guys shit their own faces and whatnot. There's pretty much no chance of getting THAT Terry Gerin any time soon though.

| #5 Posted on 6.11.03 1446.37 | Instant Rating: 10.00 | The funny thing is that when this newsbit first showed up, it was
"People are unsure why Rhyno isn't being pushed more. There was that incident at Nassau a while back, but we don't know if it's a link."
and now it's
"Rhyno's being punished because of what happened at Nassau"
Knowing nothing inside, I don't figure that WWE is any more unhappy with Rhyno than say Sean O'Haire. They're just guys they don't have ideas for right now.
Maybe if Tajiri, his opponent in the match, wasn't Cruiserweight Champion with two guys brought in just to strength him, I could believe it. I think it's just people grasping for straws (or, to continue a theme, finding a way to make something seem more insidious than it really is)
There's different from "having nothing to do" and "being punished" - the first one has you beating Kidman on Velocity, the second one has you losing to Funaki.

Rhyno IS wrestling in dark matches on Smackdown shows each Tuesday, and the odd Velocity match. Compare that to before the Nassau incident and it does appear to be a pattern of "punishment." | thatdude21601

But Tajiri..:(....WWe has shown he can easily draw heat as a heel or face time and time again....Even after Torrie!. Tajiri is my all time favorite cruiseweight.

That sounds like an angle. Frankly, I liked Rhyno best when he was a non-verbal animal. Remember Stephanie siccing him on face Jericho a few eons ago? He stood there nodding and grinning rapaciously as if he meant to eat the guy raw instead of pinning him. He made a real impression on me at the time.
Then, of course, he got the neck problem, and the bumbling interviews he did while he was out blew the monster persona out of the water. It's been hard to take him seriously since, especially since there's been almost no effort to rebuild him.

We haven't heard rumors of Rhyno doing anything to upset management...in fact I've never heard news of Rhyno causing trouble.

I have no idea if he's being punished, but he's definitely being wasted. You're telling me no crusierweight could hire this guy as a bodyguard? Tajiri? Matt Hardy?

The Alliance kicked him out, and he looked like he was going to go off & GOREGOREGORE~! everyone, and the crowd was super into it. He was still over when he came back, but they never had him do anything significant.
