Also, the show ended at 10:42, because they didn't play commercials for the first episode. So there's going to be about 20 minutes of commercials in an episode. That's WAY too many.
Whats so sophisticated about it? Oh, he sees dead guys? Yeah, that worked GREAT for Providence didnt it? Show was okay, nothing great. Dennis Leary is starting to look like a characture of middle aged Irish guys.
What suprised me was the total numbers of BULLSHIT's PUSSY's and ASSHOLE's thrown around in the first five minutes.
I will probably watch it, but it isnt like its groundbreaking or fantastic.

16-18 minutes of commercials is pretty much the standard for an hour long network show.
I liked it. Did not entirely blow me out of the water, but I have always gotten a kick out of Denis Leary, and I thought the writing was pretty good. I was very sorry that The Job didn't last longer, so I hope this one goes on for a while.
By sheer coincidence, because I hadn't heard about this show until I saw yesterday's paper, for the last week or so I have been reading up on the physics of structure fires, firefighting procedures, and specifically that 1999 warehouse fire in Worcester, Mass., that killed Leary's cousin along with five other firefighters. I had also read about half a dozen reports on FDNY actions that closely resembled what went on during the episode. Knowing plenty of the details of backdrafts, flashovers, etc., certainly added some edge to the TV-watching experience.
Well... I actually liked the first Flintstones movie (never saw the second one, Viva Rock Vegas) and I also very much liked the Jetsons movie. I can see possibly a Yogi Bear movie (as long as they keep it animated)
