I agree with Cubs who said on twitter (paraphrasing)

It still takes skill to hit the ball…but even with gaudy numbers it pales to comparison others who posted great clean numbers.

Now the two questions are;

1) Who else is clean?
2) Those who were clean, does that make them even BETTER than we thought before?

I mean, Tony Gywnn certainly didn’t LOOK like he was on roids, plus he never really was a power hitter. But he knew how to hit the ball, all pitchers feared and/or respected him. And as noted, Ripken’s iron man thing likely makes him clean, and he played several facets of the game well. Of course, my choice as Greatest Pitcher Alive (aka the MAD DOG) likely didn’t hit the juice either…..how does that make his numbers look just now with this knowledge? Glavine, Pedro (during the later years), and a couple of others.

This puts Jr. in an altogether different light. Some called him injury prone at different points of his career, and it did seem to take him longer than most in that era to come back from injury. This could be due to the fact he didn't take health supplements/steroids to get healthier faster.

You know, I really don't know what to put here. Close your eyes and thank of something funny!

Could be that the PEDs he was taking were destroying his body. Could be a lot of things.

I'm losing my mind watching this ARod interview. An unbelievable level of crap.

Don't count out Frank Thomas as the best clean player of the 1990's. He was, after all, virtually the only player who cooperated with the Mitchell Report, which is a pretty strong sign he had nothing to hide.

Kirk, crackers are a family food. Happy families. Maybe single people eat crackers, we don't know. Frankly, we don't want to know. It's a market we can do without.

Either way, he's taking the Andy Pettitte route which appears to be the safer route. Fans have left Pettitte and Giambi alone, albeit A-Rod's the first mega star to come clean.

I genuinely hope this is the last we hear about it, I'm sick to death of steroids.

My problem is, I just don't fully believe him. It seems like everytime we get an A-Rod story there is always more to it down the road. In this case he better hope not, because a report of him using his first year with the Yankees would be crippling at this point and destroy any credibility that he has left.

Does the phrase "a thousand times bitten, two thousand times shy" have no resonance yet? This is like trying to declare the best clean wrestler. Ric Flair didn't have a body so obviously he never used steroids.

Oh, what a circus! Did you see that Mister Rogers get-up that his people managed to squeeze him into? Well Uncle Alex, what stories do you have for us naive, naive, stupid, and naive fans today? Well, said Alex, am I GLAD you asked.

- I took something in my "Ranger years." What years? 01? 02? 03? Well Peter, I don't have a baseball card on hand right now, but that seems to be the years I was a Texas Ranger. Oh wait, I DO have a baseball card on me of course. Oh! Look here. I was MVP in 2003, and two OTHER years. I didn't know that!

- Will I get in the Hall? Sure. I mean, 2003 was, like six, or seven, or eight, or fifteen, or even twenty-five years ago. No scientist has really determined the effect of time on steroids yet. And if they have, I'd like to see the tests.

- I'm not too concerned about the questioning I'll be receiving when spring training comes. I mean, look at THIS office. It's like we're on the set of The West Wing. This is awesome. Have you SEEN Frost/Nixon yet? Anyway, if it even becomes too much, I'll direct you over to my new friends Mark, C(.)C(.), or Adam (or Alan...or Aaron??) They will build a solid cash wall that is impassable.

- Finally, this woman Selena will not leave me alone. The other day I found her in a cardboard box following me. She hides in the bushes. I caught her on my roof one time. She was in my house! She was hiding in my bedroom. She used my X-Box Live account!! I mean, at what point are going to stop tolerating the press ruining my life?

I'd say Griffey is the best hitter of my lifetime now also. But Piazza and Chipper are two guys that nobody has mentioned that should be in the argument. Ichiro isn't too bad either.

I read on Deadspin (I think) that Piazza had such bad back-acne he had to wear two shirts at all times, FWIW. And - Gross.

What annoyed me was the fact that they played the interview TWICE on the 10pm Sportscenter. Of course I think they should have had wall-to-wall analysis of KU/MU. I'd talk bad about A-Rod, but I'm scared of the day it comes out Pujols juiced.

You need to go to the draft page and build your queue for the draft. Thanks to whomever the last person was who signed up. I got screwed yesterday in my other league (we were also 1 person short) and now we're gong to have a computerized dfaft. BOO!
