Not only this, but several MMO companies will force you to not only buy the game, but get a subscription on top of it. With Aion I bought the game, then I had to put in either a credit card or time card as well.

The game has been delayed until 2011, so you don't have to worry about it.
For MMORPG's, you *have* to buy the game, register an account (they all come with a key), then you usually get a free month. After that, you pay a monthly fee. So you can't rent them, as you need that key to register, they are one use.
on the shelves Conflict: Denied Ops (The W at Amazon) ( gamestats): the battle for Venezuela! Oddly does not include Ozzie Guillen firing at people indiscriminately. There's big ads for this game but no reviews, which is always a bad sign.
