| #1 Posted on 21.2.02 1212.04 | This came up in the "Isn't time for a change of the RAW TV set????--LOOSE THE RAMP!!!!"
Maybe since we no longer have the joy of the pallindromic "RAW is WAR" anymore, they could just rename RAW altogether? For all I know this is already in the works with the roster split (let the internet rumors fly!) but really, RAW just isn't a very good name anymore.

| #3 Posted on 21.2.02 1228.33 | i dont think they would go back to a name used by a company that was bought by it's rival.... but maybe that's just me.....
i really dont know about changing the name.... isn't it their longest running show?... why change the familiarity of the name now? yes, yes... i know they shortened it before... but why completely change it?

| #4 Posted on 21.2.02 1245.06 | Well, it would grab some attention. And they wouldn't lose any fans, unless they also move the timeslot (which I don't recommend.) And again, the name just doesn't work anymore, IMHO. There's nothing particularly 'Raw' about the show, except in lacking the editing that Smackdown benefits from.

| #8 Posted on 21.2.02 1404.55 | Yeah, I wouldn't change the name completely. There is too much loyalty attached to it (despite slumping ratings). Monday Night Raw would be good, but by now everyone knows it's on Monday nights, so it's kinda redundant. I think the "Monday Night" part was important when it first started to force it into people's heads that Raw would be on Mondays. Maybe they can just go back to Raw is War eventually, but I think that has even lost its purpose. It seemed that the original point to adding the "is War" to the name was to show it's cutting edgeness over WCW, and to show that they were "going to war" with Nitro. And wasn't "Monday Nitro" named so that it would be confused with "Monday Night Raw" and trick people into watching? They sound similar when said fast. That's probably another reason they moved away from "Monday Night Raw," but they wouldn't need to worry about that anymore.
I'll have to think about it, but defintely keep "Raw" in the name somewhere.

Ha. I totally agree there! Raw Zone is probably the STUPIDEST name for the show. I had forgotten they even still call it that. I must tune it out. Now, "War Zone" was cool. Makes more sense than "Raw is War" too. I wish they could still use that.

| #11 Posted on 21.2.02 2109.13 | I think it's kinda stupid they changed the name in the first place. I understand why they did it, but seriously, were they hurting anyone's feelings by leaving the word "War" in the name?
