In 2003, Ren and Stimpy are going to have new episodes on The New TNN. John Kricfaulsi, the creator of the show, will return to write, direct, and become the voice of Ren. Also they're going to air all of the other episodes, including ones that have never been seen before, and ones that have been censored. Its about time.

I'm just glad to see Kricfaulsi get his show back. The way Nickelodoen fucked that poor bastard over made Montreal look like an arguement over pizza toppings.

| #4 Posted on 23.6.02 0743.19 | Basically, Nickelodeon censored some of the episodes of Ren and Stimpy because they were too violent and had some adult situations. One of the episodes which never aired was Man's Best Friend, in which Ren and Stimpy are treated rough by their new owner. This led to Nickelodeon firing John Kricfaulsi and the show never recovered. Those post JohnK episodes are hard to watch because Billy West does a God-awful job of voicing Ren. Hopefully now, we can see the parts that were censored, and the episodes that never aired.

| #6 Posted on 25.6.02 0825.55 | Yeah, TNN and Nick are part of the same company, Viacom.
The only sort of good thing on Nick is SpongeBobSquarePants. There are some similarities between SpongeBob and Ren and Stimpy. SpongeBob sort of reminds me of Stimpy. Also they use some of the same stock music as Ren and Stimpy.
BTW, on a site called cartoonresearch.com, cartoon historian Jerry Beck named Ren and Stimpy best cartoon series ever.

| #8 Posted on 27.6.02 0026.29 | I'll have to be on the side of "Guarded optimism" here.
I saw K's two Cartoon Network specials and they were terrible--the work of a man who'd been arrested developmentally, using the "Ren and Stimpy" formula where it didn't fit. They were literally unwatchable
Maybe it'll work out for new ren and Stimpy's but I doubt it.
And "Spongebob" is the best thing on Nick? Erm, I'll admit it's not on as much as I'd like (and it's already been cancelled--thank you, post 9-11 kneejerk reactionaries at Nick) but where's the love for "Invader Zim?"

From your new subtitle, I reckon that'as not the ONLY common love we have. . .but I have to ask. "Who is Number One?"
Yeah I miss Invader Zim. Thank God they showed most of the new episodes they backlogged however. I think the show was really starting to build to something.
Jhonen Vasquez is some kinda genius for being able to do a long storyline and make every episode so insane it made your mind hurt just to think about it.

| #12 Posted on 27.6.02 0129.42 | Actually, I can't take credit for the reference in my title. CRZ sets up my title, and I do his. So - props to Chris for liking semi-obscure British TV shows.
I did like the Prisoner game for the Apple II though. Does that count for anything?

That was "Prisoner 2" - we never had the original.

How many JohnK eps were there? I'm only thinking a season's (13) worth... but I could be wrong. All I know is I cannot wait for the:
