Hey, what is up with the fact that it appears the latest rage is to release an album full of remixes?? First, there was "This is the Remix" by Destiny's Child, and now, there is "We Invented the Remix" by p. diddy. Is there nothing new in this world? Must everything be a revised version of the past?

| #7 Posted on 8.6.02 2018.22 | Remixes suck. Most of them are just generic techno songs with samples of the original thrown in so the "remixer" can use the title. The few good remixes out there are the ones that preserve the song structure but either include new backing tracks, or make the song longer with the same music (so-called "extended" mixed.)
Listen to The Cure's "Mixed Up..." That's what a remix album should be.

I'd think the worse part about it is that they actually need to SAY IT'S A REMIX. Yes, I'm looking at you, G-Dep, Ghostface, and Craig Mack. Speaking of the latter, where the hell did you get the idea it's a GOOD IDEA to plug your new album mid-song, then say it's going to "change hip-hop"? Moron. | astrobstrd

The funny thing is, when Trent does other remixes or side-projects, they are usually good (Deftones - My Own SUmmer NIN mix owns, and 1000 homo djs did a very cool cover of supernaut)

Hey, I like them more than the original albums.
In an unrelated note, I can't get "Still" out of my CD player - it's SUCH a good graveyard shift soundtrack that I've been auto-repeating it until my coworker complains.

Yes, drjayphd, I too find that song Special Delivery to be exceptionally silly! "This is the remix!!!" "Take that!" The best part is the very beginning when they play the new age-type music, and then when they have the bicycle bell ringing.
As for NIN, I really like that song Eye that Trent did with Smashing Pumpkins. It takes Smashing in a whole new direction, more techno and less band oriented. Of course, SP doesn't exist anymore anyways, but hey.
