... but this deals with a special aired on one of the Turner networks.

Does anyone remember a special show that featured the "Top Ten WCW Themes?" I remember it was hosted by a member of a southern rock band, and that "Man Called Sting" won the #1 prize, but the rest of the show escapes memory.

If anyone can jog my memory, please holler. =)

"Alright, now I'd like to show you one of my favorite cartoons. It's a sad, depressing story about a pathetic coyote who spends every waking moment of his life in the futile pursuit of a sadistic roadrunner, who mocks him and laughs at him as he is repeatedly crushed and maimed. I hope you enjoy it!"

So, that match in 1988 turned out to be a nice little hit, so Vince and the gang put it on PPV and upped the number of competitors from 20 to 30. There is still no reward here other than pride. Your announcers are Gorilla Monsoon and Jesse Ventura.
