That was quite possibly the nastiest looking suplex I've ever seen.

Is there an actual name for that move?

Q: If you could have interviewed Marvin Gaye, where would you have proposed to meet and what would you have asked him?

A: I would have met anywhere as long as it was before his father shot him. I would have asked him, "Hey, don't you think there's some chance that your father might shoot you? To death, I mean?"

That was just a Half-Nelson Suplex, as far as I know. And yes, it was very brutal. I love it.

RVD's selling of the move is what made it look so nasty too. I dont know how he can still walk after landing on the back of his neck like that so many times.

I thought he was injured legit when he headed straight to the floor after that suplex. DAMN, that was a good six-minute match.

Given that a dragon suplex is a full nelson suplex, you could call it a half-dragon suplex.

"Half-dragon suplex"... so, not exactly a DRAGON, but in the same neighborhood. Like an Iguana Suplex.

I like it!

I guess it depends on which half of the dragon you're talking about.

Nope, it was the Half-Nelson, which is also found on No Mercy, and is really fun to do because your opponent flips over backwards twice after you do it to him

Has anyone even SEEN that move before? I don't have access to any Japanese stuff...maybe it's been thrown there.

I believe it could be classified as a half-nelson belly-to-back suplex. But I think he should create his own name for that move and use it more frequently, because that suplex was vicious-looking! Very, very Japanese.

Kenta Kobashi does it, and the japanese name translates to (get ready for it...)

"half nelson suplex"

Regal's all about the All Japan moveset these days, throwing around Tiger Drivers and now head droppy suplexes. He should definitely crib the Fuchi stretch muffler.

As for him using it on a regular basis...well, unless Benoit and Geurerro re-appear, I think that's an RVD-only spot. As in RVD's the only one who'll take it.

Didn't I see someone at WM do the Shining Wizard?

Other All Japan moves Regal should crib:

STRETCH PLUM! STRETCH PLUM!
Dangerous Backdrop Driver
Explodah! EXPLODAH!!!

I think all of Kobashi's moves should still be property of Val Venis. There was an interview somewhere where he said his dream is to wrestle in a tag with Kobashi. Better hurry, Sean, before it's too late.

It has a motor city look. Ford Field looks much smaller than the Silverdome. Anyway I believe the logo goes with the city.
