I ask because I happened to see yet another referral going to the "Lamest Celebrity Fued Ever" thread, probably because it mentions a bunch of young starlets and also the word "nude" somewhere in it. I assume that is probably the most referralled thread. But what are some of the others? I think that might be really intersting.

There's no mechanism in place at the moment, but it's pretty easy to tell if you hit the referrals page (The W) with any kind of frequency. At least it does for me 'cause I'm ALWAYS seeing them. Anyway, you can just ask me, too. I guess you DID, so...
As of this moment, our most referrals come to the picture of Stacy giving Scott Steiner a lap dance, primarily because it's a high hit on the Google Images search for "lap dance." Since we started tracking referrals in February, we've gotten 15589 and counting. http://the-w.com/thread.php/id=13590
Close behind is a thread about Torrie Wilson in Playboy with 15557 as I type this. http://the-w.com/thread.php/id=10606
Third is a thread about Torrie AND Sable in Playboy with 12957. http://the-w.com/thread.php/id=16963
There's a big dropoff from here. Oddly enough, our fourth highest comes for a Max Kellerman thread with 7767 hits. I think this is the highest one that actually brought us new registrations and/or people who stuck around after doing their search. http://the-w.com/thread.php/id=17724
The top five rounds out with the thread about ESPN's (first?) babe contest, which came down to popular search terms Jennie Finch and Anna Kournikova. That one got 2789 referrals logged. http://the-w.com/thread.php/id=10056
In all, there are 31 W threads with at least a thousand referrals in our referrals database. Again, you have to keep in mind that the board was up over two years before we started our detailed tracking of referrals. As I type this, we're approaching 552000 pageviews in THAT database.

I wonder if that corresponds to how long it took before "I, Max" started airing.
EDIT: Other than that, people are on the internet looking for porn or semi-porn. I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

That's more to do with how Google handled our domain change (4/12) actually.

It kind of fell off from there.
Willful ignorance of science is not commendable. Refusing to learn the difference between a credible source and a shill is criminally stupid. |
