Specifically - who wins from the shift? Who loses from the shift? Which division is the most powerful? Which one is the weakest? I'm looking for some viewpoints on this here.
Here it is for those of you who've yet to see it:
- The East -
ATLANTIC New Jersey Nets,New York Knicks,Philadelphia 76ers,Boston Celtics,Toronto Raptors
CENTRAL Indiana Pacers,Detroit Pistons,Milwaukee Bucks,Cleveland Cavaliers,Chicago Bulls
SOUTHEAST Miami Heat,Orlando Magic,Charlotte Bobcats,Washington Wizards,Atlanta Hawks
- The West - NORTHWEST Minnesota Timberwolves,Denver Nuggets,Utah Jazz,Portland Trail Blazers,Seattle Supersonics
SOUTHWEST San Antonio Spurs,Houston Rockets,Dallas Mavericks,Memphis Grizzlies, New Orleans Hornets
PACIFIC Los Angeles Lakers,Los Angeles Clippers,Sacramento Kings,Golden State Warriors,Phoenix Suns

ATLANTIC Winner: Toronto. Gets out of division with Pacers and Pistons. Possible to rebuild quickly and leap over Knicks, Celtics, and Sixers. Loser: None.
CENTRAL Winner: None. Loser: Chicago. Stuck with Pacers and Pistons, who aren't going anywhere, and improving Cavs and Bucks.
SOUTHEAST Winners: Miami and Orlando. Miami should rule this division of weaklings for the near future, and Orlando only needs to get T-Mac a little help to be a solid second. (Also, would it surprise anyone if the Bobcats finished 3rd in this division with around 22 wins?) Loser: None.
NORTHWEST Winners: Everyone, for getting out of either the Pacific (Lakers and Kings) or Midwest (Spurs, Mavs, and Rockets) and getting a guaranteed 3 seed instead of struggling to get to 4 and having home court in the first round. Loser: None.
SOUTHWEST Winner: None. What a tough divison! Losers: Memphis and New Orleans. Both will have a tough time cracking the division's top three, meaning a 6-seed at best come playoff time.
PACIFIC Winners: Lakers and Kings. Like the Red Sox and Yankees, they should be the clear faves to finish 1-2 in this division for years. Loser: None.
