You and Eke's responses are why I left Blockbuster. I was supposed to become a manager, but when I saw the stress that came with it (irate customers, no respect), I stayed as a CSR for as long as I could.

This is also why I am working overnights at Target. No customers to give you hassles, and no distractions from co-workers needing you to "hop on a register and take the next 20 people in line."

Former video store CSR here, too. I liked it better than my previous minimum wage job in a movie theater (even though projection work was fun). But slinging videos was better than sweeping up popcorn, especially after marathon flicks like "Titanic."

Too bad I missed the DVD era, seems like they would have been much easier to carry in stacks then all those videos.

Aw shucks. We haven't been to that one. We did drive by on our way to Santa's Village last fall, but alas, we did not stop and harass you. We did eat in the Rumford one though.

Here's one I haven't seen yet:

Stay at home Dad. (Ages 4 and 5 months)
The toughest job you'll ever love...or is that the Peace Corps?
I also work part-time at a group home for teenage boys in state custody. Kind of like a theraputic babysitter.
Yeah, it's tough to think I got a Bachelor's Degree to stay at home, but it's not forever and I love watching the little tykes grow. My wife makes more in her government IT job than I could go out and make. The cost of daycare would cancel out any paycheck I'd bring home, so ....here we are.
(Please, no "Mr. Mom" jokes---heard 'em all. Didn't realize a Michael Keaton movie from the 80's was so popular)
Funny, like many here, I have also worked in radio and TV, mostly TV as a copywriter for a CBS affiliate and production assistant for an ABC affiliate. I've also done time as an education technician (teacher's aide) in special ed. classes.

(Reckless Eric, I know I must've eaten in your McDonald's at some point)

at walmart selling shoes made in the same countries that stole my job.

And to think not that long ago, I had hope *sigh*

It has been about 10 years removed from my accounting classes, but how the company was formed will impact the liability. Was it a sole proprietorship? If so, being a unlimited liability setup, your father is probably on the hook for it.
