RBI Baseball returns this spring. Consoles, mobile, everywhere by our new best friends at MLB Advanced Media (who've never produced a game before - they've got a busy Spring!)
Press release talks about the brand itself returning and a new console game would fill the gap by 2K deciding to get out of the baseball business (which would've left no MLB game on XBOX - the Show still is on PS). Fans of sport games dislike the idea of games which are simply roster updates, but I think people would have no problem if this was simply a roster update of the classic NES game. Not totally sure it's that, or just that - 2K's lackluster effort last year would make more sense if they knew MLB was getting ready with their own full length game and there was no money being the third best game on the market. (Or 2K could've just been bad at baseball.)
I'm surprised I haven't seen more talk about San Andreas on here lately. About two weeks ago, GameSpot and IGN released features on the game. It appears they got the info for their features from the same meeting with game execs.
