You know what the big problem is here? Steffo keeps talking about how she's going to drive a stake through Raw's heart for all the "Smackdown fans" and such. But there are no Smackdown fans. Nobody cares about Raw or Smackdown. Do they really think people watch one or the other? Do they really think fans attend the events of one or another? Would they even want that? (I'll answer that question for you: no.) This angle makes little sense.
The heart of Raw was Austin. Sorry, I know the name is not to be spoke, but its true. Raw has been Austin's for almost five years now even during the split. I would have said Rock, but he has been on both shows and it has been established Smackdown is the Rock's show.
I do think there is no heart of Raw as of now and it could be is Booker T. Booker T and Goldust doing the Rock n Sock Connection has been excellent and if he can carry someone like Big Show to a three star match, then he has on track right now.
Steph saying she will rip the heart Rock right now is a stupid comment, but I expect nothing less from her.
A Fan- There is no heart, but it does have a soul.

This would be brilliant, damnit. Raw goes on the air with the old RAW letters, and JR and Lawler are out there like "The Jumbotron has been bought by Smackdown!". Then they could have "A Beautiful Day" promos on Raw with the Jumbotron featured. This could save the split, I tell you.

...and have it return on RAW with the last 15 minutes devoted to looking at the Titantron and applauding it.

And that's what makes it kinda fun. I mean, what's the difference between steph and Eric over Ric & Vince? Not much. But it seems different.
What's the difference between a Angle/Edge match and an Undertaker/Hogan match? (OK, you got me there....)
Flair/McMahon split is 'we dont like one another but now that we have our own side we agree not to fuck with one another'
Eric/Steph split is 'we got carte blanche to try to outdo one another including stealing talent..like real competitors!'
Edge/Angle match is 'ooh..young guys, good wrestling and a good build up of the match'
Taker/Hogan match is 'folks you will see an old school match here with a deliberate pace. These two might not jump all over the ring but they can still deliver.'
"...And I use that to fuck them some place fairly uncomfortable." "What, like the back of a volkswagen ?" -Mallrats
For me, bottom line of the ridiculous who-cares Bischoff - Steff rivalry is that the angle means less TV time devoted to real wrestlers and actual wrestling --
which was a nagging problem the split was supposed to FIX, not make worse.
I disagree. Having them fight over someone makes that person seem a whole lot more valuable than just having them wrestle a 2:16 minute match which no one on the planet will even remember happening by the next commercial break.
It is possible to have an entertaining and useful non-wrestler on the show. Take Commisioners Foley and Regal, for example. Both were solidly entertaining, and their interactions with the wrestlers themselves (not just with their backstage cronies) furthered storylines.

Man, I'd go the opposite way and say that is IS called for at a time when American soldiers are dying every day. It's UNcalled for when Arab-Americans are being persecuted every day.
