Kick ass! Benoit's been traded to Heat. That's where all the good opponents are. SWEET.

What Worked

TKG: Liked Lawler on commentary during Edge/Jericho. they go to commercial when Edge takes big bump come back with Edge on offense. Lawler points out that the idiots don't show you the transition.

PAS: It really could have used Dundee and Grizzly Smith, but I can't complain about Regal v. Flair at any point. Flair is basically Gypsy Joe now, as there are two points where Regal takes it down to the mat, and Flair lays there until Regal brings it back up. Both of these guys are great brawlers, and I will take a nasty brawl. I like the double knucks finish too, and Regal's pasty flesh always bruises well. POST HIS MRI.

TKG: Longest they've let Regal wrestle. I really liked this match ten years ago when it was done completely on the mat and involved a run in from a fat lady. The mat stuff here absolutely stank. And Flair seemed to be having hard time taking his usual high back drop bump. But liked the Bunkhouse Brawl sections alot.

PAS: Bishoff made me want to send Jesus my credit card number, when Vince fires him he really should work the Christian Wrestling scam.

TKG: Bischofff reading a Biblical passage ruled. I'm a big fan of creepy, smarmy Bischoff and was really hoping he was gonna read Judges 19. He read a more prosaic passage but it still felt filthy coming from him. Oh yeah the video package was fucking great.

What Didn't Work

PAS: Two matches? What the fuck is this the Slammies? At least that had Race doing a street fight.

PAS: They bring the Rock out to try to save their most recent disaster. It is a smart move, they really should of had him cooking wings at Times Square, playing Middle Linebacker for the Memphis Maniax, doing a most muscular with Ferigno and Luger or left hooking Donny Lalonde. I especially liked him mentioning that he didn't watch the show. They can't even get their employees to watch? The Rock can't get TIVO?

TKG: Damn it's 9:05 and Rock is working really blue. The old sperm bank joke seems a little filthy for the family hour, then he gives a shout out to his sherpa's trees. Joy decides she's going to work her own angle and Rock shows alot of poise by not giving the other divas the mic. Since when do strippers go into business for themselves? Thats not the angle I wanted your coochie at, I'm not paying.

PAS: Don't forget the dyke innuendo and moist snatch stuff. If Snoop Dogg can play Miles Davis, I want to see Rock do a Red Foxx bio.

PAS: Edge and Chris Jericho had a really crappy match, I don't know about having a low blow finish on a show which Flair is working, he already has a small enough moveset.

TKG: This sucked ass. The only good thing about it was the WWE trying to get over the un-foul finish. I keep reading about how Vince is trying to make peace with himself and well Fishman has fallen on hard times, but never thought they would hire him to book. That's really nice gesture. and well he's better than what they've got.

PAS: The wedding started out damn funny, but they really didn't have enough good stuff to fill their time. Lita really stunk up the joint too. I demand DANDY!

TKG: Nah, after they hired Fishman they couldn't run that angle anymore. But no reason not to bring in Stylin Shane Eden.

There's like a 70+ thread about this show elsewhere, and in not ONE of them does a person say "Two matches?" I love you, Phil A. Schneider.

And *this* is why I love Tom. All the pieces were out there, but putting them together takes MASTERY OF THE CRAFT.

TKG: Yeah, everything I seem to read on the web about raw seems to miss out on that. How did people miss that?

For those that don't have any idea of the intricacy of my "craft" I quote Jose Fernandez of La Arena fame:

"The 16 years girl Chris mentioned was Fishman's daughter, but I think she really was almost 20 when it happened (though initially I told Chris she was about 16). She was a really good looking girl. So as the story goes, El Dandy, who was a total pro, was so freaked out when Fishman found out about it that he no-showed quite a few cards just to avoid him.

About Dandy seducing Lita. Well, if the rumors are true, he probably just had to pull down his pants to seduce her. "

No offense, but Redsoxnation, Qatrick and Net Hack Slasher all noted that there were only two matches in the Raw thread. And most of the posts were rightfully about the wedding, since it was the "main event," and a spectacle that we will never see again.

Joe Wilson (looking at Interocitor manual)- Hey, here's something my wife could use in the house...
Crow T. Robot- A man?
Joe Wilson- An interocitor incorporating an electron sorter.
Cal Meechum- Oh, she'd probably gain 20 pounds while it did all the work for her.
Tom Servo- Cal, you bitch!

Unfortunately, he's got Tomko this week. Tomko only has good matches with Val Venis, remember? :)

Was that a real country song? Or just something that Jim Johnston whipped up? Solid gold.

If we're going XFL, they should have gotten Rod Smart to come along. He was the only one that got over.

You couldn't do it now, for logistical resons, but the greatest thing in the world would have been for Phil Hartman, dressed as Frank Sinatra to come out, (after the sperm bank joke) and say, "Hey Red Foxx, you're never gonna work the big rooms with that blue stuff, baby!"

Thank god someone doesn't think this week's Raw was the greatet thing ever. I'm afraid to post on the main thread as everyone seems to be wetting themselves in delight over the lame wedding (or as I think of it, "Rocky,This is Your Life 2004." And don't forget, according to most of this community, if you hate the wedding, then you hate wrestling.

Still... it's probably not for the best to attack the ENTIRE "community" in your second post ever. I mean, that's just common sense.

It's a very real song. Prior to Monday it's greatest contribution to comedy was a choral version played on an old episode of WKRP (as compared to the new ones?).

You're right, CRZ. Sorry about the generalization. I just found it annoying how the wedding is getting overptaised and especially how certain posters accuse anyone of noting liking of either not having a sense of humor or not being a true wrestling fan.
