I want to know: who the hell was Vince talking to on the phone? He just kept on talking and talking... shut up already!

Overall, Raw was a very good show... and it will be interesting for the most part to see more of the the underutilized wrestlers for a change. However, I may rethink that if I see more of Bossman on TV! :P

I thought the stunner on Flair was sort of a formality, as if to say, "Look, I can't sign a contract without stunning my boss...." Austin stuns EVERYONE, so I don't think it's a big deal if he stuns Flair.

Great to see Eddy back. Eddie/RVD should be really entertaining. Booker/RVD was pretty sloppy, I thought, but at least they got time to work and a clean finish. RVD really needs to work on his forearms/punches, becuase they look horrible.

Brock triple-powerbombing Jeff was cool, but it's time for him to wrestle, as many have already said. I want Heyman to issue an open challenge next Raw - I'm curious to see who they match him up with for his first feud.

I like the new belt - a cool combination of both the WWF and WCW belts. I wish it was a little bigger, but that's just me. I like the HHH/Undertaker pairing. 'Taker deserves another shot at the gold, and the 'old skool' build-up was very enjoyable. This one will be fun to watch.

And finally, I'm looking forward to Chris' RAW Recap even more than normal. If Buh Buh actually hitting the senton was a very pleasant surprise for him, he must have LOVED it when the Undertaker said "Say 'What' if you sleep with your own sister!" - personally, that was the best moment of the night for me. On the other hand, the "logic" of setting up the closed-and-battered APA office as if the brawl had actually taken place in THAT arena will probably make his head hurt. :)

Suspension of disbelief, Brew! SUSPENSION OF DISBELIEF, BAH GAWD!

Oh, and Jeff Hardy had facepaint that glew under the black light tonight, not the jockstrap.

All in all a good night, but Lawler's little high pitched "ooh! ooh!" sounds at the first sight of cleavage really had me contemplating suicide.

Oh yeah, and one of these days JR's head will explode revealing the true evil form of Tony Schiavone within him.

Oh yeah, and Wrestlefest is GOD. ;)

Great Raw, gives me lots of hope for the future...

Holy shit! I thought the EXACT same thing!

As for Raw, I really enjoyed it. The only thing I woulda changed (as I'm most people would) would have been to get rid of the Bossman. One new face (besides Eddie) would have been nice.

I don't dig the new belt for one reason: it's too small! The undisputed title should at least be as big as the WCW belt.

edit: I hope the stunner to Flair doesn't mean an eventual heel turn for Flair. He just does NOT work as a heel anymore. And besides, the Stonecold vs. the Boss thing is so overdone. That could be where they are going though, 'cause what else does Austin have to do; he already made fools of the NWO at Wrestlemania.

That was one sweet match, The Hardy Boyz vs. That 80's Team, I loved it. Who didn't get a Wrestlefest flashback? If you didn't, you haven't been playing videogames long enough to even warrent having an opinion on wrestling video games.

Hell, I've got the actual arcade board sitting across my room, all I need is to actually find a cabinet to put it in.

Oh well, I guess that's what emulation is for...

I thought Raw tonight was pretty good.

Thoughts? In no particular order.

-Like the new logo, but the stage is kind of Iffy(Why can't we have a variaton of the old RAW sign?). Maybe if they ditched those colored strip things on the side of the stage or something. Intro didn't do jack for me. Best RAW intro ever is still the one where they're all fighting in the ring.

-Great opening match and Eddy is back! After the RVD match I was like "Don't tell me their going to not have Eddy attack RVD!?" and then BAM! I love it when the TV does what I tell it too!

-Why does Spike's intro look like a rip of "Take on Me?" (Now that should make ya feel old!)

-I think I figured out why the APA office was there tonight. See the door isn't really just a's a gateway to an alternate dimension. In this dimension, the office always exists. After the desecration of the office by the NWO and Bradshaw tearing down the door... a temporal vortex happened causing...

Buh Buh to hit the Senton! Be very afraid people! We're steppin into bizarro world!

-Speaking of...did we really need Raven to lose the belt already? I think I would have switched this match and the RVD/Booker match on the card, but that's just me.

-Evil Molly! Woohooo!! If only she broke the paddel over Terri's head.

-I don't find the jackets that bad...what I found bad was that Jeff's clothes were still glowing blue even without the blacklights. Lensars attack came right on cue. Personally I want to see exactly how big a guy he can triple powerbomb.

-UT/Trips segment was good stuff. Got to love the look UT had during the whole thing.

-And Austin stuns Flair when I ask him too! Muhahahahaha!

Pretty decent show, considering they got what many consider the short end of the stick talent wise. Can't wait to see what's up for Smackdown.

I enjoyed the show. Seeing others than main eventers getting extended time in the ring was a good thing. The audience had no idea what to think. I think they will be going hit and miss for a few weeks until they get the right combination of people in the ring. Bossman and Perfect DO NOT fit into the "right combination" in 2002.

I think they did a great job of getting the new RAW over. We got to see alot of different people, we saw plenty of new storylines started, and the ring action was good. I didn't feel that it was a little interview-heavy, but when the show was over, I felt like the show went by fast. So that is a good thing.

Who would've thought that Boss Man and Perfect would ever team up after their bitter encounter at WrestleMania 7...well, maybe they teamed up when they were both in the nWo together. Actually, the fact that these two old fogies (well, Hennig's still okay) are still wrestling in 2002 is kind of sad.

Please let Flair make a big trade for Tajiri, Kidman, etc. and make RAW the 'cruiserweight' show. They've got Austin/RVD/Kane/the nWo/Undertaker for the main events, so let the littler guys handle the undercard.

To me, the show lost momentum at the end with the usual drawn-out "tune in till the end for the big surprise" gimmick. I always wonder why they try to play the audience like rubes like that. (Because they ARE rubes.) Well... nahh, I don't really think so... not to that extent, anyway.

Before that, though, it was super. One thing no one mentioned yet is how at the beginning, they went to commercial while Vince was talking. Although a little thing, it's exactly the kind of thing that they didn't do in the Invasion, which is a big reason why the Invasion didn't work.

It looks like worry #1 I had -- that I personally was going to enjoy the "split" shows less -- is not gonna be an issue. I was really loving seeing matches and storylines for the guys who were formerly being ignored. Now of course, worry #2 -- that the rest of the world will want to see the Big Stars, and not these guys -- will not be confirmed or denied for a while.
