Except they didn't. The fans were still cheering. Not that I care because I was cheering too.

EDIT: Where's Hurricane? Could he just rip one of the doors open and fly Rock to the hospital?

I agree with my man Bucs fan on how they are selling this. If they are really scared about the Rocks life and well being, then they dont do matches until hes ok and out of the ambulance...If youre going to sell near death then goddamit sell it right....

That's my story and I'm sticking to it....

Of course, you fully realize that if Austin had smashed a Kenworth into an ambulance carrying Hogan - and then stopped to drink beer - JR would be yelling "STONE COLD! STONE COLD! MY GAWD THE RATTLESNAKE!"

I agree, this overserious overselling is a bit much - this is not the Owen Hart freefall, guys!

The police were on the scene pretty quickly after they dented in that ambulance, I must say. You'd think that pumper would be watering down the area to lessen the risk of explosion - but perhaps they're saving the explosion for 10:07.

I think we were all cheering.
Now we'ver got RVD/Edge vs. Regal/Goldust? So are these guys exchanging feuds here? Will Edge finally get out of his feud with Regal?

OK, admit it. Anyone over the age of 21, who has been watching wrestling in any capacity in the past 10 years, never would have thought they would have seen Hogan standing in the middle of That Very Ring. I know I marked out like a nine-year-old.

First a Rock Bottom on Hogan. Then the trio of Edge/Jacknife and Legdrop. And that was a major-league beatdown. Shades of Horsemen over Dusty in the TBS parking lot. Rock isn't dead, of course, and based on WWF/HHH logic, he should be back by the end of the show.

WOW.

My only little complaint (because I wouldn't be a Weiner if I didn't bitch about something) is that Ross and Lawler are selling this like when Owen died. Or at least how they should have when Owen died.

Now this isn't right. As if the crowd in Chicago hasn't put up with enough tonight, now they can't to the thumb point with RVD because "he's upset about The Rock."

Why is this turning into a Rock tribute show?

poor Hogan had a very hard time running. Now that's comedy. Plenty of NWOld no Jericho which is bad. Good to see No Triple H though. I got sick of him couple years ago when he was in every segment with Steph. H's promos are so damn boring they have always seemed to be never ending. Godfather can get Tv time yet Val can't? Godfather's brought back , but a guy with talent like D-lo Brown has been in exile for two years.

HA!

Actually, what I'd like to know is where Vince is tonight. Out of curiosity, mind you...I am rather enjoying the limited McMahon exposure tonight.

That reminded me of when Hall and Nash and XPac were tailing the Steiner Bros. car and then ran them off the road, then they got all serious and drove away ...

Shame they didn't kill the Undertaker so he could rise from the dead and lose the biker gimmick. We need more undead zombie wrestlers. This does shoot down my Rocky as NWO theory though. Next they need to viciously attack HHH's leg, Austin's neck, and maybe burn Chicago to the ground. Crowd would probably still cheer Hogan though.

The whole thing kinda null and voids the coolness of a Tombstone on the roof of a car, doesn't it?

We're all cheering Hogan because IT'S BEEN A LONG F'IN TIME since we've seen hell-raising like this.
Right on. The kind of violence we crave.

I hope the ambulance blows up!

I just KNEW that was what he was going to say, pretending to be concerned about the Rock but actually talking about the unfairness of his match tonight.

good to see they haven't forgotten about Chris Jericho.

A good thing about the NWO thus far is that, while tough guy badasses, they are still cowards, so it won't seem repetitive to see them and Undertaker together. I was afraid that Taker would have to change his character to compensate. It still might ne too early to decide, however.

You know The Rock won't press charges could already hear J.R. say folks he didn't want Hogan locked away for almost killing him he wanted to settle it in a horrible match. Rock jobs alot perfect guy to feud with Hogan since Hogan normally refuses to job. Lawler is the most annoying idiot ever.

OK - what are the odds that Jericho will act as a Stephanie McMahon equivalent in the HHH/Angle match?

Maybe some sort of double pin will occur, setting up a triple threat match.

Gasp! Angle interuped Triple H's entrance, and he didn't get to spit the water! what a jerk.

Not really a step up from working for Vince. But it could be a better stepping stone to getting a better job than if she was still working in the WWE.
