But all in all, considering that I generally don't get too hype about any Unforgiven, it wasn't so bad, as long as your standards are lowered enough after the highs of Summerslam. The one good thing that Unforgiven and No Mercy can do, is lead us into Survivor Series.

P.S. By the way, this is the first time in about 5 months, that Steph was on RAW, so as much as you say she doesn't stay from the camera for too long, you have to give her credit there.

My memory must be shot, because I swear I remember the half a billion dollar princess in the limo scene where Lesnar left RAW, as well as the limo scene where she said Lesnar would not defend the Unified Title on RAW. Must be senility.

Thank you Mr. Wanz for the check, now you get an AWA World Title Reign. But be careful, my boy Greg is a heat machine.

As I said a couple of weeks ago, I have been trying to watch RAW with an open and objective mind and coming away more and more disgusted with the product, week after passing week.

When I thought they couldn't get to the bottom of the barrel, along came "HLA" and torpedoed that idea. So, tuning in last night was more out of habit than anything else.

Perhaps there has been a MAC (massive ass-chewing) meeting with the writing/booking teams, because while Lord knows it wasn't perfect, last night's show had some real signs of improvement.

The RVD/HHH exchange was great. Could've been a couple of minutes shorter (obviously the writing team isn't familiar with the expression "brevity is the soul of wit"), but a good laugh and a palate cleanser after the presence of "Sleazy E".

Did someone take away Lawler's Viagra? Or slip him some saltpeter? (For those of you who don't know what that is, let's just say it has the OPPOSITE effect of the little blue pill and leave it at that.)

Quick! Someone stick a thermometer in the ground & get a temperature reading in Hell, because Jericho got a title win over someone last night!! (6th time with the I/C belt, isn't that right?) Would've been nice if it had been a clean win--hell, even a heel deserves one of those every once in a while!

Is it just me, or did Jeff Hardy look REALLY sloppy during the main event? Was watching the show with my boyfriend and he summed it up pretty well when he said, "Looks like someone's been taking wrestling tips from Lita". That being said, anyone can have a bad evening.....having it on national television isn't exactly the best place to have it!

But the real saving grace of the show? The thing that made me say, "yep, there's still some hope that this program can be saved?"

THE KICK TO THE CROTCH HEARD ROUND THE WORLD!!

Steph, it's almost enough for me to forgive you your manifold sins. Almost.

I think he was happy that he actually won a match...

Raw was pretty good last night. RVD *complimenting* HHH's spit was pretty funny. I enjoyed seeing Jericho win the IC belt and laugh at my little sister's (she's an avid RVD fan) pain. I marked out along with Jericho as he celebrated. I thought that the whole IOW (or whatever it was) was going to involve the Godfather with Billy & Chuck, but I should have known Steph would be on the plan. And I SWEAR I've seen the spokeswomen somewhere...maybe she just looked like someone. And it was nice to actually NOT see a three minute sequence...

Dr. Unlikely, funny stuff as always.

Was Bishoff always this funny and smug or is he so effictive now because his head isn't stuck up Hollywood's ass?

I must be gullible as hell because I didn't see the Stephanie swerve coming at all. That wasn't bad but not nearly as good as last weeks. I am looking forward to finally seeing the fat boys in a match.

Does anyone think that the blown spots could have been caused by the mile high effect? If not they're probably claiming it anyway.

I really hope Jericho goes over Flair this Sunday. If he loses I'll breakdown and agree with those of you calling him jobber of the year.

End this Unamericans crap now! They brought down Raw singlehandedly, not HHH.

Last night all those who thought HHH only used Jericho as his stepping stone(including me) found out that he really is that damn egotistical and stupid. You DO NOT belittle your ppv opponent like that and expect everyone to take your match seriously.

One thing I just noticed on the tape, if they're gonna make Steph's run-in a surprise..... maybe they shouldn't have her picketing disguise-free in one of the earlier segments.

Check it out, when they're marching in a circle and the security guard tells them that Bischoff will meet with him, look to the back. At first you'll think, "Hey, who's that feminist with the big, fake breasts???"

Was the leader of the IOW group Stephanie's assistant? She reminded me of the woman who used DDP's self-help techniques to let people touch her (or something like that).

By the way, I did predict in another thread that Bubba would be the fourth in the Americans vs. UnAmericans feud...I'm just saying is all.

Billy and Chuck are the faces against Rosie and Jamal. Fine. If B+C win we get to see Steph's butt. If they lose we get to see Steph do HLA. As much as the HLA segment was hated by the internet, I think many WWE fans would rather see the HLA. So the stipulation doesnt make any sense to me.

Yeah, cause lord knows HHH thinking he's better than RVD doesn't fit his character (sighs). Would HHH coming out and saying "Wow, RVD is awesome!" really have fit his character AT ALL? The dude things he's the greatest thing ever, that's his character, he's the Game, he's the best. OF COURSE he doesn't think Rob Van Dam is championship material, and why should he? That guy couldn't even win the ECW Championship (was begging for HHH to bring that up). I've said it before, I'll say it again, all this HHH bashing is out of habit now. He hasn't been bad in the last few weeks but everyone is so used to hating him that it really wouldn't matter what he did at this point. He could be pinned by Jericho 1-2-3 in the middle of the ring and people on here would talk about how HHH got too many punches off in the middle of the match. He's been rather entertaining lately, his matches are getting better, and he's made himself look bad on several occasions. What the hell do you want the guy to do?

Hey Bob; let me direct you to something I said that you must've missed.

"End this Unamericans crap now! They brought down Raw singlehandedly, not HHH."

My beef with HHH is that he doesn't build up his opponent because he's afraid of looking bad. RVD makes fun of H's spit take and Trips comes back with Your not championship material. Do you see the problem there? You should.

And in the process, Goldust hasn't been allowed to do the fun things he was doing before this all started and Booker has been stranded and left in the middle of this bland stuff. The new Kane and Bubba's Nash-legs aren't helping things any, either.

The way I look at it the group is screwed no matter what happens. They can't risk doing anything shocking with the Unamericans to try and get them any heat because of the sensitivity to something like that, but a group like that HAS to do shocking things to get people to really hate them.

We're the Unamericans! We don't like you! Boo!

Doesn't really strike fear into anyone.

Rico vs. Ric would have been bigger, though, if they let them fight over the rights to a first name with "ric" in it and Flair would have lost the rights to "Ric" like how Booker lost his "T" against The New Harlem Heat.

You, sir, are a lunatic.

A little late, but here are my thoughts on last night's Raw.

GOOD:
-Flair = Elevation: I really, really hope they don't blow this one. Rico got a huge rub last night, going over Flair cleanly. Give Flair huge props for being a company man. Of course, this could mean he goes over at the PPV and that won't make any sense at all. We'll see how things go, but I really hope they stay focused with Rico, because he can be a player and since he's in his 40's, it's time to get mileage out of him NOW!

-RVD/Jericho: I might as well call the guy Jericho Lynn. Seriously, how many times have we seen this match? It's a good matchup, but let's mix it up a little. But I'll admit, seeing RVD tap is something unexpected.

BAD:
-Test: Can't blame Booker totally for this one. Test made that match unwatchable. I can't believe they're being so stubborn by ignoring Booker's face pops. Then again, they did waste Rocky in feuds with the likes of Billy Gunn, so I'm still somewhat optimistic.

-Poor Eric: See another thread.

-PoocHHHie TV: Once again, Triple H was everywhere, including the opening interview, several backstage vignettes, and the main event where he went over with ANOTHER SLEEPER! Oh, and whenever he wasn't around, everyone made sure to talk about him. Kevin Nash (a.k.a. The Original Big Poochie) must be so proud.

Ugh. Nothing to see here. Move on.

Noooo...

What's the problem? That HHH thinks that he's so bad ass that he doesn't think anyone (including the legendary Ric Flair) is up to his level? That he would actually *gasp* hate on RVD during a promo? I mean who the hell would have thought that a HEEL champion would degrade a FACE title contender? HOLY CRAP! You're right HHH IZ HOLDING RVD DOWN~!!!!!!!11111

Or maybe it's just two guys playing their own damned roles.

RVD is a stoner who's way to kewl for skewl, and thinks that HHH takes himself way too seriously, dude. HHH is the hyped up monster who thinks he's the best and is pissed off that RVD isn't taking him more seriously. And until RVD takes him more seriously, he REALLY isn't championship material, because you have to take the Champion of the Company seriously (at least in HHH's eyes).

Of course that makes no sense right, because heels never do that. Of course, how would you respond? If you were (in your own mind) the best at a sport, say tennis, and you take tennis very seriously, and then suddenly out of nowhere this new guy comes in. He's flashy, he's popular, he holds some fairly big wins but he's never won a major, and he doesn't take you or the game seriously at all. Would you think that he was "championship material"? Would you expect him to be able to beat you? No, no you wouldn't. And if he pissed you off enough, you're probably liable to tell him that, especially if you're an asshole like HHH. You'd be like, "Hey buddy, you think you're funny, but all that funny stuff won't cut the mustard when we square off. I don't think you could be me on your best day." Which is, in a nutshell, exactly what HHH said to RVD. "Hey, buddy, your stoner hijinx and high flyin' moves may get over with the marks, but that's not enough to beat me."

And how does RVD respond? By kicking the crap out of HHH later that night and busting him open to show him, "Hey, yeah, I've got an ass kicking side too." Ummm...Yeah...HHH is REALLY holding RVD down!

Or maybe you're taking this Hunter Hating a bit TOO far...
