Watching it by the comp. And I must say Sleezy E is gathering an unreal amount of heel heat.

Ok, so on RAW we have; IC belt and the Hardcore belt. And on Smackdown! we have the Tag belts and Cruiserweight belt. Interesting set up now. And on a side note; the IC Belt is now 3 in 1 (The IC Belt, US Belt, Euro Belt).

Ross Errors So Far: Called RVD Cena. Called the Last Ride 5 Star.

BENIOT vs BOOKER T: GET READY!
EDDY (the more latino he gets the more heel he becomes) vs ROCK: They do this every week I'll be watching EVERY week. PLUS Eddy brings up his MULLET!

1) Since Bischoff is now part of RAW's WWE credits, does that mean Stephanie will be in Smackdown!'s WWE credits?

2) Now the announce table is in Nitro position - at least the announcers are facing the ring, though.

3) HHH is sure getting the full Poochie, isn't he?

The Triple H./HBK bit before the commercial was WAY over the top. Somehow, HHH doesn't sound one bit sincere in his "all about the fans" speech, and I think they talk an awful lot about Austin if they're not expecting him back.

I was also seriously afraid HHH/HBK were about to kiss or something at the end.

CRZ would have run with this show so far.

Actually, since it was facing the ring, it was really in the "Superstars of Wrestling" position from the McMahon/Ventura/Sammartino era. All we were missing was the flying-overhead-boom-cam shot, which I probably would have popped for.

I got an emergency work call during the ladder match. Figures. I ask my wife afterward, who was sitting there staring at the TV the whole time, "Who won?" "Huh? Who won what?" "THE LADDER MATCH!" "I don't know."

DX reunited and it was such a shock that there were at least a half dozen DX signs in camera view of ringside. Well, at least it was short-lived.

Now I really didn't like WCW enough to watch it much during the Bischoff era, so I guess I didn't realize just how horrible an actor he is. But boy, when he did the Judo stuff in the endgame, I had visions of the end of "Bowfinger". I can't believe anybody would EVER want to put this guy on TV.

It's really too bad the rest of the show has been good, because having to sit through Bischoff just isn't worth it.

And a fashion report, too!

Tonight's Raw advertiser of the night was: Greyhound with 6. Slamball and XXX both had four.

Bischoff still wears a dead cow for a shirt. Thhhor is so cool he gets to wear TWO jackets.

The announcer position is different, and I can't help but think that the camera was on the other side of the arena tonight, too. Normally the stage is left, today it was right.

Why unify the Euro and IC belts? I mean, they just elevated Jeff, and now this? Um, why? So, this is the second time I can remember of the Euro title being done away with (the other being Shane "retiring" undefeated).

Black in Hair/Grey in Beard destroying the H-trunks was fine, but what does it do? Is taker going to feud with Chris now?

Rhyno speaks in complete sentences! And he's not spitting, either! NOw, Eric has a "three minute hole" for Meat and D'Lo, but after he talks about it, the hole is only two minutes.

The intergender tag was good, and just went to show what great chemistry Bubba and Trish have together.

In back, we see posters of Bischoff. "Uncle Eric is Watching You." And then Eric says he loves Chris and pats him on the butt; Chris looks like he's cool with that. But he, too, is wierded-out by the poster.

Rock wears the same thing he's worn since Wrestlemania. I REALLY hope someone does his laundry soon. I mean, he's a movie star, you think he could HIRE someone to do the wash. The Power of Mullet, mucho bruised, talks about someone called "ese" (what does that mean?) and says he's gonna beat "Jew" in the ring. Now on Raw is the time when the Rock sings!

Lesnar REALLY has to pee. Dreamer's forhead has healed nicely. Fortunately for Lesnar the match is over quickly so he can take his potty break.

Two fat guys with goatees break up what WOULD have been only the fourth match of the night. Sigh, looks like Meat and D'LO will never get any respect on Raw.

Booker's bandages look like he's impersonating a kangaroo. The Don King wig is a nice bit "Only in America." Ben-wa took a vicious attack to Booker; the middle turnbuckle thing was BRILLIANT!

Show looks like a squash machine, and Spike looks like a squash-able machine. Now it looks like Bubba's gonna get himself next in line to further Show's push.

Hey, you don't think the production staff just HAPPENED to have the DX entrance lying around, do you? And where'd Thhhor get those shirts on such short notice? Does he just carry some around "just in case"? HA! Thhhor turns evil again. Of course, JR's "Why?" shows us that he hasn't been paying attention to the first half hour. (Hey, JR, Shawn is old, but he still has his pride. Thhhor doesn't have time for some old-timer who won't do what he's told.)

Steph's hair is still straight. We also get to enjoy the upper-crust of parking lot society in the background. Hooray!

Rock STILL won't wear the belt (since his undies hold themselves up). Eddie draws deep on the Power of Mullet, but he still can't beat Ese. A dang good match, though. I REALLY thought Eddie was gonna win 'til the People's Elbow came out. Brock then plays with Rock's belt (I mean, it's not like Rock was using it at the time; why not share?).

Then Paul and Brock warp themselves to the parking lot, where Stephanie says she doesn't have any balls but wonders how it feels to get kicked in them. "Talk to the hand!" say our Greek chorus of the Parking Lot.

A nice show, but light on the wrestling. I guess it's to be expected, with the new champion and new GM storyline starting-up and all. No wasted segments, but nothing that really stands out (the ladder match was nice, but with no real compelling story behind the WHY it just seemed lacking).

Bischoff was purposely hamming it up with that Judo stuff. See, he wasn't taking Steph's threats seriously, that's why he was goofing off. He's entertaining me, too.

There was darn good stuff in this show. RVD/Hardy Ladder, Booker T/Benoit, and Rock/Eddie (cool counter to the Rock Bottom!) were all fine, fine matches. A little too much in the way of promos for my tastes, but at least they weren't crap (speaking of entertaining me, Eddie entertained me during his promo. His stuff was actually better than the Rock's, which I didn't think was high quality. Billy Ray Cyrus? Cheech and Chong?) I actually resigned to the fact that D-X was back, thinking that if Shawn and Triple H were going to hang out together, they may as well wear the t-shirt. But fortunately they knew that if they wanted Triple H to be a heel, he can't be D-X. And that's one less retread that we have to worry about.

At any rate, the show is entertaining me so I'm a happy camper.

Aside from Undertaker ruining the effectiveness of Brock's monster heel push in the Dreamer match, and D'Lo getting treated like some jobber, this RAW was alright.

The Bischoff/Stephanie bidding wars won't draw a whole lot of money, but Bischoff is pretty good in his role so far. Benoit looked less then enthused when Bischoff was sucking up to him in that backstage bit, and the way he looked at the poster was hilarious.

Brock/Rock has been built up nicely so far with Brock's mindgames on Rocky (not even looking at him when he came out, grabbing the belt and rudely tossing it at his feet), even though Brock is not really over enough to get this Summerslam main event spot. At lest they're trying though.

Eddy's reversal of the Rock Bottom into that pinning combination was SWEET~!!!! I thought they should've put Eddy over in that match (with some Brock outside interference) so we could've been treated to a rematch the following week. Eddy's promo with Rock earlier was awesome as well (burning your kids favorite Superstar poster is pure heel, baby).

As for Brock's Smackdown defection, I can see Brock giving Stephanie the F5 at Bischoff's request on Smackdown to put more heat on the Smackdown/RAW angle and put more heat on Brock for attacking the babyface female Smackdown GM Stephanie McMahon. Speaking of daddy's little girl, her acting is god-awful as usual. If anything will tank this angle, it will be Stephanie McMahon, trust me.

Regal's a lucky bastard for getting to touch Molly's ass like that. Physically manhandling Trish in a match isn't such a bad position to be in either. I can see some sort of gimmick match with Trish/Molly at Summerslam, which might be needed given the amount of times they've faced each other in regular matches. I guess Bubba is going to feud with Big Show, and Regal basically has nothing to do (taking D'Lo's place on Heat color commentary wouldn't be a bad way to use him).

Our time machine trip to 1998 is over, as Triple H's "I... am... the game" character is back in its entertaining form as a heel (teasing the fans with their nostalgic desire for DX and turning on your best friend seems like a heel move to me). About time they gave up on Trips as a top babyface.

Big Show and Rhyno as some sort of super monster team formed to do Bischoff's bidding s might be a nice booking idea. I think it's about time they have the Tag belts defended on both shows like with the Women's and Undisputed Championships, as it would give a shitload of people something to do.

Hardy/RVD was alright. Nothing really special that Eddy/RVD from May didn't already accomplish, but was still lifetimes better then Hardy/Taker from a few weeks ago. About damn time they got rid of the Euro title (now have Bischoff declare the Hardcore title dead and we are all set).

One that's been done before. They tagged together against Benoit & Jericho on Smackdown last year.

I think you've inadvertently tapped into that (in)famous Vince Russo/Harris Twins Powers-That-Be angle.

god, those were the good old days, eh? And now they're back!

PS -- Watching heel HHH made me think of a few weeks ago, when face Hunter was groveling for a rub from Hogan. Funny how things work out sometimes ...

Hey guys, Why isn't CRZ doing recaps anymore? Pardon my ignorance, but I haven't seen anything on it.

I was trying to find that Eddie/Rock transcript. That was the funniest stuff I've ever heard. What I wouldn't give to hear that again. SHUT UUUUUPP! KYANSAAAAAA! (well that's how it sounds) and the Arriba Arriba song. Oh my god, makes me wanna start recording again.

The Bischoff/HBK was a good setup. I especially like the "Cause I'm Eric Bischoff" part. The cocky SOB hasn't lost a step. The Triple H turn wasn't expected but it's about damn time. Is Austin really gone or what? they keep bringing him up. We'll see. Where can I guy get a good recap nowadays? All the slash site says is goodnight

Why is a squash on Raw? Is it 1994 all over again?
There was a little too much Bischoff.
Shawn and HHH's LAME acting.

Overall, I guess the show was slightly better than average. I think I had my hopes too high to begin with. Gotta stop doing that.
