I must say, even though I was never a huge Goldberg fan, I did like his debut tonight. Loved the look on Rocky's face when he was getting speared, too.

Count me in for the Goldberg mark-out. I can't wait for a Rock vs. Goldberg match at Backlash.

Just one question... WHERE WAS DIESEL?!

    Let the fun begin.

(And the Rock will be back after Goldberg wins at Backlash... NO WAY the Rock lets it end like that...)

I can tell you i did not mark out. I hate Greenberg. After reading what WWE had to go threw to get him to sign, i hate him even more.

Plus, now Y2J is helping HHH again? Y2J should be beating him for the world title. I hate when WWE makes Y2J protect HHH.

And again, i hate Goldberg, NWA-TNA is looking better and better.

Good show! I liked the stuff with the tag match and the Rock was his usual hilarious self.

Goldberg was certainly over, I hope this isn't the usual short term ratings pop, though, for their sake.

Interesting that they fire Austin on the same night that they bring Goldberg in.

I marked out when Goldberg made his first statement on WWE television. Right after the pyro at the top of the entrance ramp, as Goldberg tromped his way towards the ring, just as he passed the camera, his nose let out this huge "SNORRK" and he kind of made this funny face. FUCK YEAH IT'S GOLDBERG, BABY! WHOO-HOO!

No, I mean seriously. That snort was my favourite part of his debut. I actually giggled.

It was just so strange seeing Goldberg in the WWE. He is the one true star that was made during the whole WCW vs WWF run and it was so freaking strange to see him out there tonite. Having him come out with the cameras backstage and then the pyro, just something I never thought I'd see.

So what has Goldberg been doing these two years anyway? Not working on his mic skills, that much is true. Rock did sell that spear like a champ though.

Rocky is going to have to carry this whole angle on his back. Goldberg's got no mic skills and I doubt he's gonna have a match before Backlash. If anyone's up for that kind of assignment, though, it's the Rock.

By the way, Austin appreciation night is still my favorite.

Anyway, this was a pretty damn good RAW. It had a special feeling to it with RVD/Kane winning the Tag Titles (which the crowd was HOT for) and the Goldberg debut.

Tonight was an example for me of how if you do things right, and provide me something worth marking out for, I'm more than happy as a fan to do so. I don't mark out for HHH or Undertaker or any of the things that so often I get bitched at for not "just enjoying". But when they built things up tonight, and that kick-ass entrance music hit, me and the other hardened smarks I was with were all about the Goldberg chant.

Now that Goldberg is in WWE, I can only imagine, if handled correctly, his awesome his run will be. Storyline wise, they could dig up WCW's history in terms of Bischoff's involvement, they could do an awesome program with HHH (which will happen in only a matter of time I'm sure) and even find a way to feud Goldberg and Austin if it can be worked out in the future.

And Rock taking that spear?! Bah gawd he wuz brokinn in haff!!!

Rock the bestest ever! I can't wait for Backlash!

I really enjoyed RAW tonight, and honestly, IMO the ratings in the last few weeks haven't done the show justice for the effort that has been put forth by the EEEEEEE Monday nights as of late.

EDIT: STILL can't master html properly, 'nyammit! ugh.

Loved Jericho. Loved Booka. Loved Goldust.

Hated Trips. Put me firmly in the "Hate Triple H" club now. Let's see, Hurricane hits all of his finisher moves including the rarely used Eye of the Hurricane, Trips kicks out of all of them then destroys Hurricane. And this gets anyone over but Trips how? Screw you Triple H. Screw you to Hades!

Are you ready for Mahkan-mania to run wild all over you?

Well, that was my last Raw for a long time. I was hoping they could make up for what the Raw portion of the show did to Wrestlemania, but to no avial. They are still making it the HHH show with Rock coming at the end to make the save. I love Rock, Hurricane, RVD, Kane, Flair, Jericho and the Woman's division, but thats not enough to watch this crap anymore.

Goldberg is not my least favorite guy, but he is not going to keep me watching when Austin is gone to Smackdown or just gone. They need a major change if the GM Austin is in the works then I maybe up for it, but I don't see them getting rid of plot device Bischoff just yet. I will now only watch Smackdown and read the Raw reviews by the thread here. There is no point and waisting my time with this show when they are ton of good DVDs to watch.

To be fair, Ric Flair saved Triple H from getting pinned after the chokeslam, he didn't kick out.

Allright, I'm psyched for Goldberg in the WWE, even though I didn't think I would be.

I expected Nash to be tonight's surprise appearance, which would have made me whimper, so I was marking out when Goldberg's music hit. I'm so very glad they didn't wait for Backlash. Nice swerve, there. Also nice sending Austin over to Smackdown so they can hold off on an Austin/Goldberg confrontation until later this year. That's the match everyone wants to see, in my opinion.

Here's to hoping we see Jericho/Michaels and Booker/Triple H at Backlash, with the right booking this time.

Nice to see Kane & RVD win the belts. I mark out for those two. I think they're a great tag team, and not stale at all, as everyone seems to harp on. The Dudley Boyz; THAT is stale.

Oh yeah, RVD and Kane aren't over at all, no way, uh-uh. The fans only mark out for their entrances. They don't deserve a Mania match.

Yay RVD. Yay Kane. Don't listen to the internet, boys, the people do love ya.

Moo hoo ha ha.

Count me in the camp of "loved the show" tonight. I just had a good time, from top to bottom, and I don't know the last time I've laughed as hard as I did when Flair stole the mask from that little kid. It was just a silly, pointless, and marvelous little television moment. Oh, and the match was fine, too--they made me believe, if only for a second, and for that, I am grateful.

I wanted some kind of explanation for the HHH win last time. I am firmly in the "apologist" or "shill" or whatever the hell you want to call it camp, but last night's match with Booker T just left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I didn't post in the WM folder because a lot of other people just summed up my opinions more succinctly than I could have, but I just wanted a justification. I'm close to believing all the "bad" hype around HHH after the win over Booker T. The only things that will make it all right for me are A)A Booker T win at Backlash (I LIKE feuds that last longer than a month, thank you, and I'll take that just as easily as I'll take a WM win--the latter would've been slightly cooler, but the end justifies the means), or 2)An explanation to the fast count last night, because Nick Patrick's count WAS fast from what I's been five and a half years, and the guy FINALLY does a fast count, but for the wrong wrestler? Sigh. But, it looks like they're continuing the feud and I'll be happy with that.

I also love the direction that the Dudleys are headed in right now. Really cool stuff--conflict within the team is always a good thing, and maybe now they can finally do the breakup right...unless they're just playing Morley and everyone else...

Goldberg--it's cool. I'll see what happens. I've never been a big fan of his, but this was a good way to make his debut, and my roommate, who hasn't really watched wrestling in a few years except casually when I tune in on Mondays, was riveted, and totally flipped for it. I'm looking forward to the feud.

As for Austin...the camera angles were really funny. After the constant back-and-forth shots between him and Austin, I really expected Bischoff to say "Oh, and Steve...I'M HAVING YOUR BABY!!!!!" Or something to that effect...would it have been so much to ask?

Also big fan of RVD and Kane getting the titles...I just hope it lasts longer than a week, and I think it made it even more special that they overcame the odds of one and a half teams working against them to get it. It COULD have been done at WM, but I'll count it in the "better late than never" category.

Oh, and geemoney--you're not the only person who thought that. I said it out loud.

Overall, fun show.

What is there to tempt me back? HHH beating the shit out of mid-carder that was slowly starting to catch on. Raw's formula has grown really stale since December. Its Bischoff makes demenads on Face, fans jeer, crappy mid-card match, HHH goes over someone or cuts promo, woman's match or storyline stuff, semi-main event match where HBK runs in, storyline, quick match, bottom of the hour cluster fuck or Rock promo and the end with a cluster fuck main event with HHH not jobbing or Bischoff schemes works and the fans boo or Rock promo or as I refer to it the best or worst part of the show. Fade in big W, fade out.

IF something different happens I'll hear about it. I don't expect Raw to change their formula every night, but if you want a reason why the ratings are bad. It because the show is really stale and there is no signs of movement towards anything or any purpose. Wrestlemania was their last chance to turn it around for me and they failed miserably. I am sure Goldberg will help the ratings, but I don't care about him. I'll watch and support Smackdown though.

A Fan- If you are going to tempt me at least bust out some naked chicks and beer.
