I like Wrestling. Not talking. Wrestling. I wish they'd show somemore wrestling.
Although I must say, it's rather interesting to see Paul Heyman talking on the cell phone.

That pissed me off. This whole show pissed me off. I like WRESTLING. Not people talking, WRESTLING. The concert thing itself pissed me off because it was ONE MORE SEGMENT in the show that had no WRESTLING.
Can't wait for Smackdown! With Eddie, Beniot, Angle, Edge, Rey, and some Cruisers....I can at least HOPE for some WRESTLING.

| #4 Posted on 19.8.02 2215.55 | He needed to be talking. Good god Jericho was awful. I wish King would have talked over the whole thing so I could continue to think Fozzy was a good band. That was horrible, I was begging for it to end after the first 4 lines.
I am a 21-time Wiener of the Day. Unfortunately, all of my reigns happened during house shows, including 5 in the past week, and are not officialy recoginzed.

| #6 Posted on 19.8.02 2226.27 | And a fashion report, too!
Ad of the night - that Starburst girl with the MAGIC tongue.
Taker and Test talk for 10 minutes of my life.
Jeff, in face paint, and others learn that DeadCowMan has done-away with the 24-7 rule. A poor match follows.
FuckYouLawler has a wet dream come true. I take a bathroom break.
When I get back (it was a long break) Thhhor, in a pink shirt, talks. Hey, if Rocky is wrestling tonight, how can he be on the Teen Choice Awards (hmmm)? Oh, Jericho, in a Fozzy shirt, interrupts. Is it REALLY a good idea to have the guy cut an uber-heel promo when you're trying to push his CD? Flair, in white, attacks. 11 minutes of my life.
Booker, in the T-undies, and GOldust, in a robe (it's a new one! Me likey very much), and Taker, in the red-devil shirt, vs. UnAmericans, in upside-down-flag shirts, with Tag Belts and upside-down flag. Good match, both men were legal.
RVD, in ying-yang singlet, vs. Giant, in his black singlet. Crap. The fat Somoans (is there any other kind?) take-out Show in your WTF moment of...well, of the half-hour.
Rock smokes something and relates the visions he's had to Coach (who wears BLACK).
Fozzy performs. I think they had bad sound. They've ALL got long hair! NOtice the guy in chainmail and the Hospitaler surcoat. Why must FuckYouLawler talk DURING the song, numerous times? Flair, in a bloody white, destroys the set.
Paul and Brock are big fans of Raw. They've bought tickets TWO weeks in a row!
Thhhor has water. Rocky has a belt, though he doesn't wear it. Mjolnir makes its comeback! Shawn shows up! Another non-finish.
My bottom line. This show was crap. But that was a blessing in disguise, as Discovery had a really good show, "Engineering the Impossible". Not a good way to head into a PPV.

| #7 Posted on 19.8.02 2304.11 | So why couldn't we have gone right to Summerslam yesterday without this heat-sucking, non-wrestling, shit-booking, NOTHING excuse for a show?
Err... someone really ought to tell Jericho to give up on this dream of his becoming some sort of rock star. His "singing" just sounded like he was doing his umpteenth lame promo. This guy was one of the worst things about Smackdown! and now he just f's up Raw on a regular basis.
Shoot of the night: Stacy and Bischoff agreeing that NO ONE GIVES A FUCK ABOUT WOMEN'S WRESTLING. And that INCLUDES random crap like a bra and panties mud wrestling, with the obligatory Finkel dunk for good measure.

Screw that, and screw this week's Raw. You know it's bad when I'm spending more time watching crap like Sorority Life instead of Raw. | count olaf

| #9 Posted on 19.8.02 2318.24 | Lawler should not have been talking, but Fozzy was awful. Really really awful. I thought by now they would have learned that we watch to see wrestling, not music performances. And...they were awful.
Bischoff's comment about the ladies was crap. I thought Molly might take exception and save the day, but I was pleasantly surprised by Trish's performance. I've never been a big fan of hers, but as a former lifeguard I know that the 10 foot belly flop into mud that only comes up to your knees is a very risky idea. | #12 Posted on 19.8.02 2338.37 | I think I'll object here. Jericho wasn't that great, but I think that was the point. Fozzy are billed as an old-school style metal act, and they had that going to the nines. Remember too that the rest of the band are from Stuck Mojo, who are mostly a comedy-style metal act (remember them with DDP in WCW?). I do agree that Jerry Lawler should be disemboweled promptly. I love what the WWE is doing with Test. He actually looked good in the 6-man match. I actually think he is a threat to the Taker now. I'm hoping he goes over Taker since it looks like BookerDust will take the tag titles... One bad thing, the local TSN feed died just after the Show/RVD match, so I missed the last match. Did I miss much?

Seriously, I don't care if they try to make the brands different, but I still would enjoy seeing some WRESTLING. If I wanted to see talking, I'd turn on CBC Newsworld or CNN.

| #15 Posted on 20.8.02 0928.17 | I liked HBK superkicking Brock Lesner. The Truth Hurts, Bichoff said the fans don't want to see women wrestling. The Triple H / Jericho interview segment showed promise. I was hoping they could have set up a match with Triple H & Jericho vs. Flair & HBK.
Still I couldn't help but watch Sorority Life, those girls like to party.

Me, too. I only saw the alleged match between HHH and Rocky. The HBK superkick to Brock was pretty damn awesome, and notice how he grabbed for his back immediately after the kick to show he's still injured. His suicide dive almost went bad, but it still looked good. I guess HBK can take some bumps.
