Vince didn't think he was so hurt that he couldn't work through it, so they kept asking him to work and he wouldn't say no because he wanted to be seen as a team player who'd work through pain. This caused him to get hurt even worse, which got Henry even more upset and fed up enough that he might just quit when his contract expires, which is sooner rather than later. There were plans for Henry to turn face that have been dropped and both he and the company might be playing out the string with each other now.
That's a shame if true and flies in the face of anyone that says Vince would rather make money than grind an axe. After all that Henry has been through, he'd be one of the last people on the roster I would accuse of milking an injury.
A lot of hard work and some pretty good storytelling just went down the drain here.

BOO. Don't tease something like that. Is a dream a lie if it don't come true or is it something worse? The match's many guys will be accounted for in a big-ass GM tag match as we've all expected. How big? Depends on how many people they want to get payoffs I guess. I count a lot more heels than faces. | John Orquiola

This is the big problem. People like Ziggler, Del Rio, Christian and Henry stuck in another fucking meaningless tag match. Argh. These guys are never going to be accepted as big players if they keep coming up with nothing for them to do at the biggest show of the year. | Scottyflamingo

And who gives a crap about the GM's anyway? I love Teddy, but he's played out, and Johnny L is more of the same old evil owner shit we've done since 1997. | Super 7-Up

To be fair, Christian, Henry, and Del Rio have all had varying degrees of injury woes over the past several months. I can't fault the WWE for not having something for them ready to go at Mania. They could count themselves lucky to get the Mania payday if they're thrown into the tag match at the last minute.
Ziggler on the other hand... yeah, that hurts. Especially after his participation in the meaningless attraction match last year (a two minute special where all he was allowed to do was take a bump from a guy who isn't even with the company anymore) AND the fact that he's worked his nuts off in the 12 months following that match (we'll just pretend to forget that little blip in the road immediately after last year's show where they made him dye his hair brown and be all 'new and improved' for a couple of weeks).
Yeah, I had really hoped Dolph would be involved in a more prominent match this year. | Tyler Durden
