San Diego loves their signs...not just the anti-Cole one that the Sign Police took, there was that great cartoony one of Punk front+center and most notably, a sign that simply said "Moss Covered Three Handled Family Grudunza"!

Is it? I should have Googled it. The important part was the Radio Edit.

I had no idea San Diego was such a smarky town with their chants.

This week's RAW forced me to embrace the hate. I hated almost everything I saw, except D-Bryan and Punk. The rest of the show totally sucked - Triple H and Shawn included!

"Punk rock, The Clash! Boy bands are trash! I like Johnny Cash and Grandmaster Flash!"

The lyrics to "American Bad Ass" are amazing: http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/kidrock/americanbadass.html

Speaking of "boy bands are trash," there was also a "Bieber Sucks" sign in the crowd right next to a "Twilight Sucks" sign.

I dunno, HHH is a braggart and a chicken at the same time. I think they're all pretty clear he's the heel in this.

That does suck. He didn't even get comeuppance when he ran over the #1 babyface ever with a car and put him out for a year. I think the two times you could say the Cerebral Assassin finally ate it were against Batista -- three straight clean losses, got destroyed so bad in the last match he went away for three months, and they never wrestled again -- and John Cena at WM22 -- tapped out in a match everyone expected him to win after he buried Cena in the buildup, didn't get his win back for more than two years.

I think it'll also come out over the next few weeks that the loss to Undertaker eats away at him a lot more than he's let on, secured future or no.

Where are they going with this Cena/Kane/Ryder/Eve thing?

Are we anywhere different than a month ago? I feel like I'm watching on a looped video where the same thing keeps happening.

Why does Zack Ryder keep showing up at the arenas? Stay home! I was laughing so hard after he got pushed off because- how are they supposed to stabilize the neck of a guy who is already wearing a neck brace? He's turning into a live-action Kenny from South Park. Oh my god! They just re-re-re-injured Ryder.

So are Rock and Cena going to just show up and have Smile-Off? Whoever helps the most Make-A-Wish kids in thitry minutes wins? There's no feud to this feud.

They're getting into a weird area with Cena. He's already a heel to a large portion of the crowd. They boo him, celebrate when something bad happens to him, etc.

If he turns heel (by that I mean he acts like a heel and attacks faces), it might have a backwards effect where the fans that hate his current schtick start cheering him because they're finally getting something fresh.

Heel turns are always most effective when they're unexpected. This one has been dragged out way too damn long.

Oh, and that Ryder fall looked botched and painful, but I don't know how you fall safely and still sell that Kane did something horrible.

Could Cena stealing his pal's girlfriend and/or cheating on his wife be a way to subtly turn the female demographic against him?

Since they wrestled for the US Title, Zack Ryder and Jack Swagger have had an amusing back and forth on Twitter. Swagger scored a funny just now:

If Ryder doesn't turn into a Supervillain, I don't know what it would take. I actually kinda wanna see him return and leave a trail of bodies in his wake.

The line about Taker being a "brand" was brilliant. They should do more of this. But if Triple H wouldn't go heel for Punk, I doubt he'll do it here.

Wait. You want to turn Ryder?!? Ryder's the good guy. He's the only sympathetic person in this whole scenario. He might be the most sympathetic guy in the whole company. Kane's a scumbag supervillain. Half the crowd hates Cena who cuckolded Ryder, intentional or not, and almost punched his crippled best friend. And everyone hates Eve. But you think Ryder should turn?

Boy, just when I think you couldn't get dumber. ;-)

http://www.f4wonline.com/more/more-top-stories/96-wwe/24244-raw-rating Raw drew a 3.0 only a few weeks after drawing a 3.6 ouch. Wonder how that Cena-Ryder-Kane-Eve show ending angle did in the ratings.

I can't tell if you are being sarcastic or not, but it DOES kind of fit the Budding Supervillian Template. In this case Ryder = Buddy/Syndrome and Cena = Mr. Incredible. "I tried to be like you and this is what you do?!" and then Long Island Iced Z becomes a Broski Kevin Sullivan nutjob.

I don't want more of Ryder monologuing, though.

I follow, but who does Ryder turn heel against? Turning on Cena wont do it, turning on Let's-Be-Friends Eve wont do it, not even aligning himself with Kane would do it.

Turning Ryder into a heel is a mistake. A giant mistake. This is not the first time, I have heard it either. Ryder is the only likable character in this entire situation. Has it become comical yes, but people still like him. If anyone needs to turn heel its either Eve or Cena. Mostly likely it will be Eve and it will lead to Ryder and Cena reforming the Megapowers. So, Cena can still be the golden boy going against Rock even though we all know regardless if its Miami, Austin, LA, NY or even random town USA, Cena is going to get booed the fuck out of that building. They might as well turn Cena heel and let Rock win, because even though WWE thinks their PR machine is the almighty, it will be the fans that will determine who they want to win and its clearly Rock.

I know people will bring up Rock vs. Hogan, but I don't know if they knew going in Hogan was going to get that reaction. It was also very noticeable that Hogan was a very limited wrestler and it made sense for Rock to win. Rock looked amazing at SS. I say screw the pass the torch talk, turn Cena as the big bad that destroys Ryder, Kofi and even get a little bloody with Orton for Rock to end him. They have six weeks, its not impossible to do.

Supervillians by definition are heels against EVERYBODY.

(I'm not advocating this, I'm just saying I saw the potential logic. This would have to have been their master plan, which it clearly is not. I guess (to further speculate) you COULD have Ryder take off for a while and then re-emerge as a psychopath AFTER Cena/Rock is over.)

I was just kind of going off what the fanboy in me would want to see. The pieces are all there for the classic supervillain archetype.

Look at Mr. Glass in Unbreakable. The entire movie is spent making you sympathize with him until the last 5 minutes.

Just think it would be fun to see. And if he gets cheered, so what? Heat is all that matters.

Yes, I have the suspicion Ryder is the one turning heel out of all this (if he doesn't have a broken leg or ankle from that horrific bump, that is). He just can't go back to the fun-loving, goofy babyface with the fist pumps after this Kane ordeal, and his mean faces at golden boy Cena (and the slap) at the end of Raw are also a clue of where they're heading with this. I suspect Ryder will be Cena's feud after the dust settles from WrestleMania.

Though I have to admit, despite his association with the main event angle, I'll have a hard time buying Ryder as a credible threat to anyone after his repeated ownage week after week. Unless the plan is to turn him into a heel manager in a wheelchair, which would make him the WWE's own version of Blofeld.

Triple H: I'm not that guy anymore.

As much as we would all like to forget it, all Shawn had to do was bring up what HHH did to Kevin Nash in December. Of course, the Kevin Nash brand may not have been worth protecting.
