I'm struggling to see what was so bad about this show. Maybe in real-time it played out worse than it did when I watched it after recording it, but it seemed that everyone did things that were logical for them. It also seemed that in retrospect they actually planned this out from last week, given that it made sense for Cena, Shay-mo, and Punk to not walk out last week based on their actions this week, so if they are mapping things out ahead of time that *should* be a good thing.

And something had to be up when they announced ADR/Cena for the title at Vengeance, and then had ADR defend the title against Punk.

Holy fuck shit motherfucker shit. Read comics. Fuck shit shit fuck shit I sold out when I did my job. Fuck fuck fuck shit fuck. Sorry had to do it....

DUD. Biggest mis-step since that big "Raw X" anniversary show where the entire audience at The World turned on the show and booed everyone? Possibly! HHH finally getting his wish where he's the only person on the show and the crowd is prompted to agree with him that everyone else on the roster is less important to the company than him was heartwarming. That was the choice given last night: cancel house shows and PPVs or lose HHH, and the entire angle was booked so that the crowd had to pick HHH. Beautiful.

Random thoughts:
-The way to save this angle now is to reveal that Punk orchestrated the entire walkout but did not participate with the singular goal being to put himself in a position to be wearing HHH's blazer in the hopes that HHH now carries his cell phone in the inside pocket, all so that Punk could check HHH's text history and prove that it wasn't Nash who sent the text because Nash would have been too lazy to type "I want you to stick whoever wins" and would have typed "I want u 2 stick whoever wins", thus proving that HHH really is evil. And then HHH is killed.

-Randy Orton had no opinion on the walkout at all. The voices in his head are neither pro-labor nor pro-business.

-Kelly Kelly was also strangely silent on the matter, not appearing during the vote of no confidence but also not showing up at the beginning. Surprised John didn't mention this.

-Funniest moment, hands down, was Good Sin Cara walking in from the Solidarity Rally, and about five guys behind him, Evil Sin Cara also walking in from the Solidarity Rally. That must have been awkward.

-I have really enjoyed a lot of Cody Rhodes for a good, long while now, but they should send him down to FCW to work on his evil laughing skills. Oof.

-The only solution to the Anonymous GM mystery: It was The Macho Man. RIP Randy.

Would they actually wish him well? I think it would either go "We wish him...future endeavors!" or "WWE has come to terms on the release of the following superstars: Morrison, John. That is all."

Because the undercard has been thrown under the bus.

Yes, they got built up by laying out a wrestler who was flattened by said bus and has been residing there for months on end now. Rhodes is there because Orton needs someone to go over to rebuild himself after the Henry feud.

Actually they were exactly standing with him. I'm not sure how much clearer that could be. It was a big love-in, for god's sake. And yes, Triple H certainly did. He may as well have brought a shovel with him. Are any of these guys going to get their heat back from HHH by proving him wrong? I fully expect Morrison to be pinned and laid out by a broom next week. Just a broom on it's own, Fantasia style.

Because he's been made into a hypocritical joke. What side do you think his buddies Gallows and Cabana would have been on in this? He has sided with and pretty much become what he was rallying against only a couple months ago.

This is Bring It On, featuring CM Punk as Eliza Dushku. Success is the best revenge and being friends with the cool kids has its perks. If Eliza tought us anything, there is a place for the edgy kid. Imagine the POP Punk would get after that first sip of beer, followed by a crotch chop.

If the WWE remembers that Hunter's mostly known (and liked) for being the smart-ass rebel instead of the tie-wearing boss, then he can credibly stand next to Punk.

I don't know what is worse, the return of the HHH GODpush, or that the fans actually cheer the jackass over the ENTIRE roster.

This is worse than when the NWO was burying WCW every week, because at least there were like 50 guys in the NWO by the end of it. We've been told that a Semi-retired wrestler is superior to the entire roster except for Punk, Cena, and Shaemus but even they are more his lackeys.

Punk still manages to make this crap halfway entertaining though. Hell, even Cena managed to back HHH without being a total asskisser. And I was glad Shaemus added that little line about, "We know the result would be different now."

-Henry still looks like a beast. I'm halfway optimistic about his push since Vince has wanted him to be a main eventer since 1997.

-Cody needs a better mask. I like the crazy Phantom of the Opera bit, but he needs to go flat out. The clear thing just makes him look like Bill Lambier.

Dolph Ziggler did everything he could to make Mason Ryan look like he had any business being in there. You should pay attention to Dolph, he really tries hard to make everything he does look important.

I really don't care for Triple H, and I can't see his continued involvement in things leading to anything I want to see, let alone something I would pay money to see.

When people say stuff like this I have to wonder if they were even watching Nitro during the dark ages. Vincent, Curt Hennig and Scott Norton were not the men benefiting from the nWo's dominance.

I actually secretly wished that HHH had gone out there and said "you want to walk out, fine!" and left the ring at the beginning of the show JUST to see how long the crowd would have taken to full-on riot.

The WWE fans would have sat there, because their parents told them to. This is not ECW or even 90s WWE crowds, most of them are happy with just seeing Cena or even Punk. It doesn't take much to please them.

Like others have said, this is a great David vs. Goliath story, except Goliath is the babyface. This isn't where I thought it was heading.

Punk and The Nexus have proven you can rage against the machine, but the machine will always win.

The lack of Michael Cole in the first segment was quite noticeable and quite pleasant. It's not that he's obnoxious, it's just so forced.

CM Punk is just plain entertaining. Even when making an obvious joke about Kevin Nash, his timing is just on.

Wouldn't JR get wise by now and just call in sick when they have a show in OKC? Has he ever come out of a hometown show with his dignity intact?

Kelly Kelly is not political. The problems 55 people in the WWE locker room had against their now-ex COO don't amount to a hill of beans to Kelly Kelly. She's got bigger problems than any of them. She's tired! She's so tired! She's sick of it! (vids.wwe.com) #OccupyRaw is resolved. For Kelly Kelly, there's more to come.

Also for Eve. Eve figured out as long as she's got K2's back and rides her coattails, she gets to be involved in the only Diva angle in the company.

Whoa... am I to understand that Jim Ross really didn't know he was going to get "fired" last night?

Kevin Kelly: "Mr. Austin, would you like to comment on Wade Keller's Take that endorsing the XFL hurts your anti-authority character?"

Steve Austin: "Oh shit, he actually said that? I thought the boys in the back were ribbing me!"

Kelly: "No, he really said that. Did they tell you the part about you sitting in the stands, looking all skeptical?"

Austin: "AHAHAHAHAHAHA. Yeah... oh man that was too much."

This is apparently in the case. It wasn't even in the script, though obviously a few people knew.

Whatever longterm planning was in place went out the window when they pulled Nash from the match in September. Supposedly Punk and HHH weren't supposed to wrestle until Survivor Series after a tense buildup. Instead it's not November yet and they're already teaming. I feel comfortable in assuming that all plans would've rapidly gone to hell with or without Nash though.

He wasn't told he was going to be switched from Raw to Smackdown during the draft a few years ago either because they wanted to blindside him. He also didn't know that Cole was going to squirt barbecue sauce all over his new suit back in April.

It's not really about feeling bad for Ross at this point, because he clearly knows what's up and apparently enjoys doing his thing on TV on occasion more than being treated with any kind of dignity. It's about watching a show put together to overtly spite people and being embarrassed for/by the person running it (along with Kevin Dunn, the toad in Vince's pocket), because who acts that way for realsies, some kind of weirdo creep? Fuck off, just make a normal show without premeditated public hazings.

And Morrison gets buried....again. It's a three-way race for Mahal, McIntyre, and Morrison to see who gets "future endeavored" next (right now I would say Mahal would be the first). Zeke is not too far behind the guys in terms of how little faith the WWE has with these people and the borrowed time that each one has.

I try really hard to not buy into the idea that the (half) billionaire owner of a (nominally) publicly-traded corporation would be this petty, and that Vince and JR are working us all on this rivalry. If anyone cares about VKM vs JR outside of the company, it would be the hardcore internet fans, so maybe it's a way to needle us?

OTOH I remember that no matter the 'transgression', Vince has brought back anyone and everyone he thought could make him some money save the Macho Man, so I get that they could legit not get along yet continue to work together. But that simple tip of the 10-gallon hat to Laryngitis, handshake for Lawler and wave to the fans was better than any FU he could have said to McMahon backstage. And I'm sure the locker room gets that too.

    @natecorbitt ... Big Money

For all this business has shown itself to be since even before the WrestleMania era - I never complain about one of the boys making money. If Hogan went broke, no one has 'lifetime security'. (And yes, Hogan was a dumbass, but few wrestlers have business degrees.)

And as for showing up JR on Raw? It's real hard to embarrass someone who acts with total class. The more JR shrugs it off, the more he makes Vince look like a schmuck for doing it. It crossed my mind that maybe McMahon got in Cole's earpiece and set off that Crowning Moment of Obnoxiousness last night because he was hoping to set Lawler off for real, since getting King fired would really stick it to Ross.

(P.S. - If you worry for the J.O.B. Squad now, just wait if they keep up with these Raw Supershows past the new year - if the upper card guys are doing double shots on Raw and SmackDown, could be 10 or 15 out of those 55 guys "OccupyingRaw" last night that will find themselves squeezed right into future endeavourment.)
