Steve Austin is expected to return to RAW tonight, now that the Rock is expected to be gone for months. No details regarding the role Austin will play are currently available.

One can assume that Jim Ross will be a factor in the Austin return angle, but that is not confirmed. Jonathan Coachman is still set to announce RAW tonight.

If the writers can pull it off, Austin and Goldberg could be huge. Of course these are the same writers that have botched every other dream match (besides Rock/Hogan last year).

Yeah, but look at the great feuds Austin has been involved in:

Rock v. Austin [WM XV]
Austin v. HBK & DX [WM XIV]
Austin v. Bret Hart & Hart Foundation [WM XIII]
Austin v. Angle [around InVasion time]
Austin v. HHH [after his return]

Let's face it, Steve Austin could make any feud worth watching.

Quest for Lord Stanley's Cup
Canucks & Wild tied 1-1
Mighty Ducks lead Stars 2-0
Senators & Flyers tied 1-1
Devils lead Lightning 2-0

At least with Austin/Goldberg, there might be some transition punches. Sheesh.

If we're due for Austin/Goldberg, that means the predicted (or perhaps dreaded) Triple H/Goldberg showdown at Badd Blood will be pushed further down the line. Hmm ... wasn't the reason Booker jobbed at Wrestlemania supposed to be that Trips had to keep looking strong so he could face Goldberg in a couple months? Don't mind me, just saying.

Ah well. We'll see.

Geez, who gets to play heel in that match up, Austin or Cold Beer?

Are you ready for Mahkan-mania to run wild all over you?

I mark for Molly Holly and Lance Storm.

Goldberg would end up the heel... no doubt about it. The fans wouldn't have it any other way.

Isn't Austin's neck in bad shape? If he does come back, I highly doubt he'll be wrestling.

Storm's criticism is fair but Storm comes across as such a school marm these days. Dude sits in Canada and writes countless essays talking about how much pro wrestling sucks. He's like a Scott Keith with more charisma.
