I noticed something that I thought was fairly interesting... maybe I'm reading too much into it, but I think Regal may have been baiting Edge during his match, trying to make him come out and get into more trouble.
How many times did he scramble for a pair of knuks that weren't there? Hell, when he supposedly went for them the last time that spurred the run-in, there was NOTHING on or in his hand.
I'm sure they'll just gloss over it and pretend there was something there, but I think it'd be a much more interesting angle to have Regal start faking Edge out, getting him fined worse and worse until Edge is right on the... er, edge... of being fired.
But, of course, that would build interest in something that didn't involve a McMahon...
Kansas-born and deeply ashamed The last living La Parka Marka: HE raised the briefcase!
I didn't see him actually come up with a pair either, after reaching under each side of the ring apron throughout the match. I wasn't sure if I missed it or not.
If they're going for something like that with Edge (Regal prodding him into getting himself suspended), I think they missed the boat on that two weeks ago when Edge was supposed to be suspended but was on the next show. JR mentioned something offhand about him not being suspended after all. And if that is an angle they want to try, as much as I like Regal a lot more than Test, it should be Test on the heel side, since he can't be fired and could get away with a lot more. Unless he can be fired now. Who knows?
*SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT!* Well, they announced at the SmackDown tapings that we would get to see a CLASSIC match between Sean O'Haire v. Rikishi. I don't see how Steiner/Nowinski could MUCH worse. *END OF THE SPOILER ALERT!
