First and foremost is the title match between RVD and HBK. I'd love to see this go 20 minutes, but I don't think that'll happen. Look for a *lot* of people to get involved. TripleH, Jericho, Steiner, lots of people. But, I think RVD will pull it off. IF he doesn't, he's gonna end up like Jericho. He keeps getting title shots, but he never wins them. He needs to win the "big one" just like Jericho did last year at No Mercy. Speaking of Jericho, he and Christian need to drop the Tag Belts pronto. They don't suck as champs or anything, but Jericho has way too many singles issues to be in the tag ranks. Besides, Steiner doesn't have a partner, and I don't think they'd put him and Booker T together. Then again, that'd be kinda cool. Perhaps pencil in Steiner/Booker vs. Jericho/Christian at Armageddon? Either that, or Jericho/Christian drop them to the Dudleys. Who then can feud with 3MW over the belts.

Also on the horizon, since they're close to Flair country, look for the new Horsemen angle to take another step tonight, perhaps even a formal announcement. Or maybe just have Flair wish Regal/Storm good luck on their match tonight(against whoever, a rematch against Hurricane/Goldust wouldn't be out of the question). On another note, here's hoping we get to see Maven back in action tonight. Not against Nowinski, though. Ooo, maybe Maven/Al vs. Regal/Storm? Rock on. And if HBK manages to win(which I bet he does), look for HHH vs. HBK at Armageddon. Maybe we'll get a Richards/Victoria vs. Stacy/Test tonight, too, if they don't save it for the PPV. Raw's actually shaping up to be a really decent, solid show.

The good thing is for the first time in ages we can actually get excited about the show cos we genuinely don't know whats gonna happen.

The title really might change hands(though I have my doubts), and the tag team division's even getting half way exciting with the Dudleys coming back and Regal/Storm and 3MW also in line for shots in the near future.

Even further down the card we can look forward to seeing the likes of Maven and Nowinski instead of the random hardcore or tag matches we'd been enduring for a while.

My only worry is how they'll go about getting the belt off HBK. Having him job clean in his first defense is a helluva unlikely, but RVD losing could really damage his push. At the very least though it'll be interesting to see how they try and pull this one off.

okay, it seems like there is a good deal of maven-love on this board. i just gotta ask, where does it come from? i mean, to me the guy is another K-Kwik; his dropkicks are the fakest-looking things going. there are a LOT more guys i'd rather see on my Raw than him. don't get me wrong, i'm not saying he's the worst, but why are people so excited to see him?

I can't speak for everyone else but for me its more excitement about the guys potential than where he is just now. His promos are already strong, he's got natural charisma, and considering how long he's been in the business his in ring work is pretty solid, and certainly a lot better than some of the veterans that area around.

Add to that the fact that he's clearly got a great heart and love for the business (finishing a match with a broken leg for example) and there's a helluva lot to be positive about

fair enough. it just kind of seemed like to me, people were so excited to see a possible feud that has any backstory at all, that they were getting themselves psyched up over a random rookie.

Jericho should NOT drop the tag title. He should pin Booker T tonight and then have Booker cost him and Christian the titles next week to the Dudleys. Then, Jericho and Booker can feud leading to the PPV match we all want to see.

As for RVD and HBK, who cares? The Title means squat and whoever has it is just warming up for HHH. Let HBK keep it for a month, then lose it to HHH. Bring bacl the IC belt, give it to RVD in a tournament. Then let HHH defend the Title against the likes of Katie Vick, Sargeant Slaughter, the Brooklyn Brawler and Spike Dudley. Make the IC belt worth more by letting the real wrestlers square off for it.

Maven and Nowinski have a rare "natural" feud. Maven won the first Tough Enough contest, which Nowinski feels he should have won. I'm still getting vibes of Rock/HHH when I look at these two.

I freaking care about the main event tonight! I think that any true professional wrestling fan should care. This was always one of my dream matches that I thought would never happen. I think that given the time, this match will be AWESOME!

There are some dream matches that may be better if they're left as a dream. We'll find out tonight if this is one of them.
