A-TRAIN n/a
AL SNOW n/a
BATISTA B+ He's coming into his own. He's being put over as a huge monster now. A year from now, he'll be an awesome force in the business.
CHRIS BENOIT A It's all been said before.
CHRIS JERICHO B+ He's got nothing to do right now. I guess they were relying heavily on more Jericho/Christian stuff through the summer, before Christian got injured.
CHRIS NOWINSKI n/a
CHRISTIAN A- Great job this year overall.
CHUCK PALUMBO n/a
EDGE C I'm not impressed, but he's over for now.
ERIC BISCHOFF C+
EUGENE A Dinsmore has really run with the ball, since being given this gimmick. He's over (big time!), his matches are entertaining, he is a success so far.
GAIL KIM B Without any more injuries and continuing her current momentum, she'll be closer to an A in 6 months. She and Molly lead the ladies in ring work right now.
GARRISON CADE B- His ring work is solid, but he's going to have a hard time getting over if he's not given time on RAW and time to speak.
IVORY n/a
JAZZ B Her injuries keep her down too much, but total charisma in the ring. She sells her angry-black-woman character like a pro. One of the most underrated performers on the roster when she's healthy.
JERRY LAWLER D The goofiness has run its course..about 6 years ago. Lawler has a lot of experience, why can't he be used as a proper colour commentator, explaining the MOVES in each match? He was much better during his first run in the old WWF, when he and Bret feuded.
JIM ROSS C Call a match by showing you know what the moves are called, and I'll be impressed. It's totally believable, based on viewing RAW each week, for someone to think that JR has no clue what 70% of the moves are called - especially when Jericho uses the Lionsault but JR instead just calls it a "splash" or "whatta move off the ropes!" Enough.
JOHNNY NITRO C- Shows promise. He'll need to prove he belongs in the ring whenever he returns.
JON HEIDENREICH F Sloppy.
JONATHAN COACHMAN A One of the most entertaining characters on RAW. Great turnaround for Coach, as he was quite hated when he was a neutral/face commentator on HEAT. The cockiness is priceless. Do something with "The Players Club" that's written on his entrance video!
KANE A- Despite being thrown some curveball angles, he's persevered enough to claim a spot near the top. Good "comeback" if you can call it that.
LITA D Awful ring worker. I can't suspend my disbelief when I watch her fight - I see right through her wrestling. Looks way too fake, but I'm sure she's protecting herself...possibly too much.
MATT HARDY C On Smackdown he was actually interesting.
MOLLY HOLLY B+
NIDIA D Bleh. I'm still waiting to see something. Anything.
RANDY ORTON A- He's had a lot of help in getting and staying where he is, but he's doing enough on his own to deserve his spot.
RHYNO C+ He's impressed me a lot in his few matches on RAW, despite not being given a solid face or heel status. He could be very useful.
RIC FLAIR A- His wrestling is predictable, however he's still good enough to justify being in the ring. His interviews and leadership role on camera for Evolution has raised the group's credibility to no ends. The man still has it.
ROB CONWAY B Good wrestling. Questionable whether or not he's turning a bad gimmick into gold like Dinsmore is.
ROSEY D Decent wrestling. Going nowhere. He could be a vicious heel. What a waste of time this gimmick was.
SHAWN MICHAELS A+ I despise HBK, but he's been a boon to RAW. Worth every cent they're paying him.
SHELTON BENJAMIN B Poor mic work is the only thing holding him back from being a believable top tier wrestler at the moment.
STACY KEIBLER C Tits and ass. I get it. But do we have to watch her wrestle??
STEVEN RICHARDS C-
SYLVAIN GRENIER B- He's improved. That's the good news. And I am starting to really like his promos. He's a lot better now than during La Rez's first run.
TAJIRI A- Solid work. Great facial expressions to sell his backstage promo work.
TEST n/a
THE HURRICANE F Not his own fault. His character is also very stale. There's no profitable future in it, so trash the superhero crap or move him to Smackdown where he can fit in (in terms of his character). What a shameful waste of talent. I'd love to see Helms as a bastard heel.
THE ROCK A Sure, we all know he's not around. If we can move past that, is it worth bringing him back for 3 appearances per year? Hell yes. Again, I'm as big a Rock fan as I like HBK, but the man is a top grade entertainer.
TRISH STRATUS B- Her heel turn stumbled out of the blocks. I'm not sold on her character right now, but her matches have been pretty good.
TRIPLE H A+ The total MVP of RAW. He single-handedly got Benoit over, much the same way that retiring Cactus Jack brought HHH into the main event full-time. He's made all the right moves for business this year. Kudos. And he sells his character very well... even if several others could do the same if they had the same TV time.
TYSON TOMKO n/a I haven't seen enough yet.
VAL VENIS n/a Huh? Wha? The reprisal of this gimmick confused me. Wasn't it doomed to fail?
VICTORIA B Decent. Her character is pretty non-existant now as a face.
WILLIAM REGAL B+ Good work so far.

Repackage Rosey with Rhyno, and let them work in the tag division....could be a good tandem.
Overall I like the roster better than last year, but just wish Tajiri and Rhyno would get a fairer shake. These guys were the big reasons I watched ECW's TNN show. Well, them and the Impact Players.

I don't see much reason for him being on the show the way his character is treated now. Is he absolutely necessary right now? No. I'd love to see the E give him more edge with a few allies who do his dirty work. Every a**hole boss has a few workers who he/she sides with constantly.

I will give him and Shawn at least a B, because of that much and the fact that last night's Hell in a Cell was just an average Cell match. I am not sure who I would grade higher, but I don't believe Orton has earned his spot. Orton is a C. Edge has been great of late with his tag matches with Benoit. He just needs some more singles competition and get rid of some of that ring rust and he will be fine. | bigredmachine29

Yeah, I liked how he got Benoit over on RAW, calling him Jericho's "little buddy." Asshole.
But he DID tap out to him at Wrestlemania. I'd give Trip a definite A.

I don't disagree with the Triple H grade either, I didn't think his match at Rumble was that bad, and even if it was he's put on good ppvs matches since then. Both three way matches were great, haven't seen the hell in the cell yet, but i've heard it wasn't too bad. He's stepped it up on the mic I think too. Last night he was great in both the HBK feud and the upcoming Eugene match.
Stevie is great and even though we rarely see him on Raw he's very entertaining whenver he's around, I'd give him a B. ANd Hurricane, yeah, the gimmick has run it's course, but that's not his fault, he can't control what they give him to do so I don't think you can give him a bad grade because someone else gave him a bad gimmick. I'd give him a C. And I have a hard time giving Garrison Cade a B unless your definition of "solid" is bland. And an A for Coachman? He has no talent at anything wrestling related. Any screen time he gets is a complete waste.

-Giving Gail Kim a B maybe a little too much. Her offense has been much better, but I still think she's lacking. I'd give her a solid C
-Hurricane deserves more than an F (Especially with blocks of wood like Cade getting B's) Entertaining in the ring, but saddled with his gimmick. I want a return of Sugar Shane on Smackdown! Would help both of them! C
-Val I'd give a C-, probably the most under utilized worker in the company and unlike the Hurricane he can't even get on RAW with his crappy gimmick.
-Cade a B? I just don't see it. He doesn't do anything for me. At least Jendrak could look interesting (not as Lex Luger-lite though.)
-Stevie deserves a B, he's always entertaining even when he's doing nothing. Hell! Send Stevie, Val and Helms over to Smackdown and let them do something! I don't think they could actually make things worse over there!
And Batista get his "+" docked for his goofy dancing!
I knew it was too good to last...

| #15 Posted on 20.6.04 1153.44 | Instant Rating: 7.00 | My grades:
Al Snow - C could be used much more than he is now
A-Train - D Why is this waste of space still on the roster?
Batista - B Good to see him finally getting over, and as said before, he's coming into his own very nicely
Chris Benoit - B The only reason I'm not giving him an A is because he still looks a little shaky on the mic. Granted, he's come a long way since his WCW days, but there is still room for improvement
Chris Jericho - A Face turn has really helped since he was as stale as 3 year old crutons as a heel
Chris Nowinski - n/a too bad he's suffered what was possibly a career ending concussion, I always found his stuff to be entertaining
Christian - A very much improved on the mic, and seems to have found his place as a cocky prick heel
Chuck Palumbo - D- Time to bring back his Lex Luger imitator gimmick. I always found that to be funny, especially with that little exercise thing he brought to the ring
Edge - C- Seems to be floudering just a bit. Enough with the serious attitude and bring back the fun-loving Edge who played pranks on heels
Eric Bischoff - B Done well for what he has to work with
Eugene - A+ The most over wrestler on the roster no doubt. Has taken a very questionable gimmick and turned it to gold.
Gail Kim - D Still looks sloppy in the ring, although not as bad as when she first debuted
Garrison Cade - F No mic skills to speak of, Green as grass, and has the charisma of a fingernail
Ivory - n/a She's still with the company?
Jazz - B Her angry black woman schtick is entertaining. Hopefully she'll be put into some more angles and feuds now that Rodney Mack is back
Jerry Lawler - B Still entertaining, although not as much as he used to be. Would earn an A if not for yelling puppies so damn much
Jim Ross - C- tired cliches and going through the motions almost sounds like JR doesnt even care anymore
Johnny Nitro - B- Definately some potential there. Kind of reminds me of a young Scott Levy
John Heidenreich - n/a Havent seen enough of him to give him a grade. But I'll take everyones word for it that he's really really bad
Johnathan Coachman - A Has been gold since his heel turn
Kane - A+ Awesome promo skills and decent in-ring ability for a man of his size. I think good run with the title should definately be in his future
Lita - C Good character, but lousy ring worker. Would be higher if she improved her skills a little
Matt Hardy - C+ At least he's a face now
Molly Holly - B+ Too bad all her hair is gone. Hopefully it will grow back soon
Nidia - n/a havent seen enough of her
Randy Orton - B He's coming into his own despite being forcefed down everyones throats. 6 months ago, I would have given him a D, but has slowly but surely gotten over
Rhyno - D Glorfied jobber
Ric Flair - C- Playing second fiddle to the likes of Triple H and Randy Orton is no place for a natural born leader like the Nature Boy
Rob Conway - B+ Has done well for having a bad gimmick. Time will tell if he's able to reach the next level
Rodney Mack - B- Have always been a mark for the Thuggin N Buggin. If only Teddy Long was still on Raw
Rosey - F Bring back 3 Minute Warning
Scott Steiner - B- If he was the worker he was 10 years ago, he'd be an A+ no problem. He has it on the mic (gotta love some of those off the wall promos) but his size has taken its toll on his ring work. Hopefully he'll turn up soon
Shawn Michaels - B Would be an A, but his neverending fued with Triple H has dragged him down
Shelton Benjamin - B- Has that "it" quality, but needs to work on promo skills
Stacy Kiebler - F Can't act, can't wrestle. Simply awful.
Steven Richards - D see Rhyno
Sylvan Grenier - B- Has improved a great deal and seems to gel better with Conway than Dupree
Tajiri - C Lack of promo skills hurts his standing
Test - B I know ya'll are going to hate me for this, but I've always been entertained by the guy, in a Plan 9 from Outer Space sort of way. He can't act his way out of a paper bag but its just so damn unintentionally funny that every time I watch him try to deliver his lines, I crack my ass up laughing. His in ring work is much the same way
The Hurricane - D Hasnt had much to do
The Rock - n/a Hasnt made enough appearances to justify a grade
Trish Stratus - B+ Has made good of her heel turn
Triple H - C- Always has been my bathroom break, totally stale. Although his match with Eugene looks to be interesting
Tyson Tomko - C nothing great, but nothing horrible either
Val Venis - D- Looks to be on his way out of the company soon
Victoria - B She needs to go back to being psycho. You don't nessesarily have to turn her heel, but just let her regress back into her old character
William Regal - A Facial expression and acting has always been some of the best in the business
