This will lead to New Year's Revolution's tag team main event:
Triple-H and Ric Flair vs. Batista and Randy Orton

Because a HHH/Orton main event for the world title which they look to be building to...well they already did it and it kind of blew.

If anyone other than Cena wins the WWE title at WM I will be very surprised. I'm seeing an Orton/Cena moment similar to the Benoit/Guerrero moment we got earlier this year.

Armageddon sees JBL defend the WWE Title against Booker T and former champions Eddie Guerrero & The Undertaker.
|
The Royal Rumble will likely see a one-on-one rematch between whoever wins the title (Taker?) and JBL. No Way Out might see a title defense and a #1 contender's match, just like last year. With Angle possibly winning...just like last year.
On the RAW side, they have 2 PPVs between now and Mania. Since Orton can't get a title shot, by default he wins the Rumble (ala Benoit last year). Then, we get the yearly "Triple H tries to dismantle his challenger before WrestleMania, but fails" stretch from late January to WrestleMania-time.
I can see The Undertaker winning the 4-way so he can get one last title run, then dropping the belt to Angle at No Way Out via heel chicanery. Cena's off for a bit, so he can clear his plate and be ready for No Way Out (and a #1 contender's match, realistically). Angle/Cena on one side and HHH/Orton on the other looks pretty fine to me.

Everybody knows that the best use of Angle and Undertaker at Wrestlemania is not against each other, but Angle vs. Shawn Michaels in The Last Untapped Dream Match, while Cena ends Undertaker's WM streak and wins the WWE Title.

With the lacklustre response to HHH/Orton at Unforgiven, and the positive responses to Batista, and hints & swerves of an Evolution breakup I think that WWE might have a rethink about the WrestleMania 21 Raw Main Event, and go with a Four-Way Elimination Match (a la WrestleMania 2000) with all four Evolution members.
This gives Flair one last crack at the top (although no doubt he would be eliminated 1st) and we don't have to put up with the Orton overcoming odds, winning Royal Rumble & getting title shot after the no title shot while HHH is champion ruling, which seems to be the standard RR-WrestleMania story for the past few years.
It also gives Batista a taste of Main Eventing, and allows the writers to build up on the storyline in the 4 months(!) leading into WM21.

| #10 Posted on 23.11.04 1030.43 | Instant Rating: 1.41 | The problem with the Evolution 4-way is that who does the rest of the Raw card fight? If you take Evolution away from the spotlight, you have Edge, Snistky and Christian for heel challengers in single spots. You are left with Jericho, Benoit, Shelton and the rest of the Raw roster left with a huge tag match or out in the cold. I do think it will be Orton/HHH, the fans are behind it now. I just think long term planning this fued will eventually fizzle out unless they trade the title to someone like Batista or Jericho has a stop gap fued for both men. Eiterh way, I don't expect Orton to hold on to the belt long after Wrestlemania since either Batista or Edge would be a better choice for heel champ right now instead of HHH.
Also, I think we can offical kill this spoiler.
