For those not in the know, Grumpy Cat has an animated movie debuting on Lifetime in a few weeks, starring the voice of Aubrey Plaza from Parks & Rec.
Assuming it's the actual Grump Cat that's appearing on Raw, she'll still rank somewhere in the middle of the guest star list as far as acting ability goes. Too bad Roman Reigns is still out hurt, I'd be interested to see which of the two can cut a better promo.

It's actually live action and looks wonderfully absurd, and way goofier than the Stereotypical Lifetime/Hallmark Christmas movie:

If the movie is as self-referential as the trailer, it could actually be really good.
Also, I've did a bit of research on Grumpy Cat (i.e. I read the Wikipedia article) and it seems she has more in common with WWE superstars than you might think.
She's had a book on the New York Times Bestseller List, ala Jericho and Foley. She also suffers from dwarfism. As a guest star, she's already likely to have an angle with Hornswoggle, but they actually have something in common. (Although, according to Talk Is Jericho, Hornswoggle is a midget not a dwarf.)
It would be pretty awesome if they just let Grumpy Cat shit all over the product ala Statler and Waldorf. Think Michael Cole during NXT3. They seem to be pretty strict about how long Grumpy Cat is allowed for appearances (even at SXSW, she was only out in public for a couple of hours at a time) so it's likely to only be a couple of skits on the show, probably pretaped.
Grumpy cat is the type of shit I would send someone on Facebook so that they could get a slight moment of laughter from. Then I get a slight moment of laughter at their expense for laughing at it and thinking it's cute.
I haven't watched any WWE product since the Raw after Wrestlemania and this doesn't make me second guess that decision in any way. Obviously, I am not missing anything of any substance to me in any possible way.
It was announced that Grumpy Cat would be #RAW's guest star. What, the Target dog wasn't available?

Always striking while the iron is hot, WWE announced Grumpy Cat as a guest star on #RAW. The week after, they're inviting...you guessed it -- Frank Stallone.

There's a lot of people jumping to conclusions over what will surely be a fifteen minute mini spot, sandwiched between 2 hours and 45 minutes of wrestling, on a program that bills itself as a pop-culture entertainment program.

Actually, forget everything I said and give me this - just put Garfield up there too, slap it together as some Universal cross promotional event, and let 'em go to town.
My prediction: Grumpy Cat is backstage being grumpy, Adam Rose tries to get Grumpy Cat to stop being a lemon and start being a Rosebud, but Eric Rowan barges in screaming "she's here!", murders everyone and runs off with Grumpy Cat. Raw has a mini angle of everyone trying to save Grumpy Cat. Ultimately the Bunny shows up Adam Rose and makes the save furthering their feud to Survivor Series.
Honestly, I don't think that's the problem. The weekly shows are bad and also too long. They've oversaturated the market with mostly mediocre-quality programming. I don't know what they thought was going to happen as a result.
