That's what I immediately thought also.

I figured Triple-H is pissed because Flair has been spending most of his time dicking around with Carlito when he should have been weakening up Cena for him before his return.

Maybe Triple H is just bi-polar.

I got the impression that he was mad about Flair telling people that HHH was going to help HIM. Making it seem that H^3 was on Flairs leash or something.

He kept yelling "I own you!" or something to that effect at Flair during the backstage portion of the beatdown.

Or the fact that Flair's been talking about how he's right back on top now that he's holding a world title (something Triple H hasn't done in quite a while)

I wish there had been some kind of a build to this, at least by not having Ross calling him the "Cerebral Assassin" on his way to the ring. Like someone else said about their ads for RAW on USA, it's not a very "face" name.

Hah. I was waiting for SOMEONE to say that. Vince has seven hundred million dollars, or something? Give the guy who jobs more.

I don't really care who would win that match, I still don't want to see it. Neither one of them can have a good match at this point unless it's with a guy who can bump wild for them. Austin almost died the last time he wrestled. Hogan is hobbled beyond belief. This match MUST suck. Pyshics DEMANDS that this match. It may suck enough to dampen both of their legacies.

I hope this goes into one of the things that was mentioned and then dropped and never again acknowledged pile.

I fast-forwarded a lot of this show. Especially the beatdown. Toward the end of the beating, I was waiting for Triple H to actually sodomize Flair, which would be perfectly in keeping with their creepy on-screen relationship. There another match that will suck. I don't buy any absurd Flair still has it hype. He will do all chop offense, and the match will suck, and the commentators will tell us it was amazing, and someone will go on WWE.com and tell anyone who liked it that they don't get a vote because they're not in the business.

I loved the legends. The castration of smackdown was shocking. I was stunned.

The iron-man match was great until it turned into a fellate shawn finish. Staying in the ankle lock for-fucking-ever, then escaping, then superkicking angle, and only missing out because time ran short while even the heel announcers talked about how he was getting robbed was a little much, even for Shawn. I threw up in my mouth a little, but I got over it.

If Dibiase is going to have lines, HE SHOULD DO THE LAUGH. God.

You know, I usually don't agree with your anti-HBK rants, but even I have to admit you are right about that match. It seemed obvious that HBK is the rightful winner after that finish, which flies in the face of Angle being the number one contender and being the "Angry Angle" threat he is. I guess as of now that the Taboo Tuesday match will be a Triple Threat match.

The only way that Angle can get out of this as the true number one contender is if he wins a match with Michaels convincingly (a la Wrestlemania 21).

"Win at any costs" Heel Angle would've been angry enough after the tie to grab a chair, clobber HBK with a chair, accept overtime and pin him.

That's the Angle they've been trying to get us to believe in as a #1 heel, and having him not show up is just dumb.

Everything about the match seemed fine to me, but then I guess I'm not watching them looking for a reason to conclude "Michaels is burying Angle!". I don't think anyone should be worried about Angle being 'buried' at this point of his career. Michaels wasn't even in the Ankle lock for as long as he was in it at Wrestlemania, and him staying in it for a long time makes sense considering his character revolves around 'beating the odds'. Not to mention he was booked as pretty much any main event babyface would be booked...but hey, I could be wrong.

You know its a work right? Unfortunately HHH will probably have a title around his waist by Wrestlemania.

Nice post, I liked the recap of Benoit's WCW/WWE career alot. Most of that stuff I had forgotten about, it really puts the win last night in perspective. I think the biggest question right now is what is next on Benoit's plate.
