If they were testing the waters for a Dolph face turn, I think we all got a pretty solid answer. Not only were fans hot for it, but it turns out that Dolph's pretty good at playing face. I could get behind it. I also thought his match with del Rio was good. I've never seen the hot-potato thing done like that, and I think just the hot-potato aspect by itself would make for a good gimmick match.

As a Top Gear fan, I am going with kinda, not really. If Sid cut a promo on the advantages of an Aston Martin over a Ferrari, than maybe. I caught most of the opening hour til it was baby nap time, even then the wife was watching it due to her love of Jericho while I tried to put the child to sleep which is not happening, because of Raw. Women. What I saw I liked. Ziggler/ADR has some potential. I was watching the CSR Report and they brought up a good point of how ADR's feuds always revolve around the title minus the Rey feud and he needs something that doesn't have to do with Destiny. This could be that feud. And yes, they have to turn Ziggler face now. CRZ is completely correct about WWE waiting too long for to do these turns.
AJ/Punk/Kane was great and I am not sick of AJ, yet. Kane dumping AJ and her reaction was all kinds of awesome. I liked tone down Vickie. Santino really doesn't need that belt due to how over he is. That belt is a perfect stepping stone for Dean Ambrose. Swagger is just there right now. The second seem to be a lot of Cena/Show, so glad I missed it. I also agree, a tweener Jericho is more interesting than heel Jericho since he has been doing it for what seems like forever even though its probably not. Clay and Lord A-Train seem to be headed back to browner pastures. Nice to see Sid back, but no tag team stuff?
I also think Punk is doomed to lose at MITB, but not to Bryan, but to Big Show who cashes it in after he wins it. Although rumor has it, Cena vs. Punk SummerSlam rematch maybe in the cards. So, who knows. Going to have to find that Colt Cabana podcast since Punk is usually pretty glowing of Cena.
The Wee Baby Sheamus.Twitter: @realjoecarfley its a bit more toned down there. A bit.
How can there be a Money In The Bank match without Kofi??

I don't think they said anything bad about Cena at all, they talked about how Colt thought Cena didn't like him for years, and was always very standoff-ish to him. Then at some point Cena found out about Colt's "Matt Classic" gimmick and thought it was hillarious and next time they crossed paths he wanted to know all about it. And I think they praised his Make-A-Wish work later on in the podcast.
Originally posted by BigDaddyLocoDid Jericho have some work done around the eyes? Why did he look so weird? Too much Euro rock?
I think it was some combination of his weird hair and those skinny jeans he had on. The jeans really showed off how thin he is and it kind of carried on up to his face. He should start wearing bulky pants and giant boots to wrestle in again.

Cena will carry the first-ever Money In The Bank lunchbox.

Yeah, I was out of the loop for the last day or two and didn't know Sid was the guy this week, so I was caught off guard and surpisingly happy when I realized it was gonna be him, but Sid is a reverse Vader situation. In that, with Vader, I think most of us were really worried we might get another version of him falling on the apron last time, which would have been tragic, and his awesome performance was a welcome relief. But with Sid, I desperately wanted another "THIS MIND'S MAN...excuse me...MAN'S MIND!"/"I GOT HALF THE BRAINS...THAT YOU DO!"/"Uh, can we go again?" moment and was slightly bummed he didn't get to talk at all. I probably would have settled for Heath Slater trying and failing to crush Sid's car out in the parking lot.
Re: Slater, I really wish he was the one with the Ironclad Contract. I don't really know what I would do with that, but I can't help but think a "Heath Slater can't be fired" angle would be more fun than the "Big Show can't be fired" angle.
Originally posted by CRZI guess it's not coincidental that Dolph has been booked in heel vs. #heel matchups two weeks in a row to give the crowd a tryout cheering him on as a de facto face, but the crowd was RABID for him to turn as far back as the PPV. And, as is their wont, WWE simply won't pull that trigger until interest dies down and cools off because WWE is all about Striking While The Iron Has Been Dunked Back in the Water.
Holy shit, yes, this is fundamental WWE booking problem #1. It's almost like they realize they have a good thing happening but can't admit that they didn't come up with the good thing themselves, so they have to kill it and then try it again on their terms when it no longer feels organic and is only working at half power. I mean, there are times when fans of things are wrong because they don't know the whole story that's in motion, but this is WWE, where they change their minds on things minutes before three hour live TV shows, they should have no problems adjusting to sustained crowd reactions, but just seem to have no interest in doing so. Strangling the "YES" chants to death and only then coming out with "YES!" merchandise being the most recent prior example of all this.
Heath Slater's clairvoyance and telepathic powers are going unmentioned. He somehow manages to cut promos using catchphrases of returning legends and he's absolutely shocked when he ends up facing them after he cuts his promos.

What if it's no coincidence that Heath Slater started displaying these powers almost exactly 10 years to the day after debut of former USA hit series "The Dead Zone"?!
-So we finally get rid of Johnny and get 40% of the show devoted to Vicki. YIPPEE! Oh well, at least I got through the show in half the time as she's always automatic FF material. And to anyone still saying she's hot, please just come out of the closet and stop pretending. That battle royal was just disturbing.
-Cannot get into any program Big Show is in. Love how they are trying to sell him as someone who will hold the belt forever if he gets it, because of how dominant his other title reigns have been.
-Who'd have thought AJ was this awesome a year ago? Glad she's getting some time to develop.

Their Ziggler indecision was evident for at least a year. They couldn't bring themselves to split Vicki and Dolph despite their many, many in-ring break-ups.

Jericho more than made up for it when he said that Cena's ignorance "never seizes to amaze me, it's actually quite marn-blaggling."

It's more that Vickie looks like a perfectly normal mother of two in her mid-40s - and is in better shape than many others - but WWE feels the need to pretend that she is some sort of hideous she-beast and I'm not real cool with the message that sends. Of course, WWE (and wrestling in general) sends all kinds of messages that I'm not real cool with but here I am still watching it so y'know whatever maybe I should just shut up now

I spent some time looking for it myself last night to no avail. Nash's visible, intense belly laugh under the (surreal) Sid mask when Hall leans in to confirm what Sid just said kills me every time I see it. Sid's little lip pucker after may or may not realize what he just said ain't bad, either.

I assume the WWE match is for former champs and the World match is for young lions (and terrible world reigns that don't count). Ziggler, Christian, Cody, Kofi, Sin Cara, Swagger, etc.

I was thinking about this too ... but then thought that the WWE Championship would actually go on last ... Bryan beats Punk via AJ shenanigans ... Cena, with his freshly-won briefcase, cashes in, beats Bryan & sets up Cena vs. Punk at SummerSlam ... not to mention, Cena is WWE Champion at RAW 1K.
you can see it coming from a mile away ...

Yeah. And that he helped Colt get a tryout last year, and has pushed for Ryder and Barretta and someone else.

What a shame there isn't a way for the public to contact WWE video archives in Stamford and request the "This Mind's Man..." clip. I suppose someone could Tweet @JoeyStyles until he agrees to put it on dot com.

I can't believe they passed up the opportunity to have a face to face with AJ and Sid.
Also, why the hell is Sheamus so happy to be defending against two guys, especially when he doesn't have to be beaten to lose the title. And with Vicki being guest GM, why not make it a triple threat to begin with and have both guys be fresh to fight Sheamus instead of each other?
Heath Slater is hilarious. I wonder if he loves working with the guys he probably watched growing up.
Heath Slater watched wrestling? I thought he was a band.
It’s so hard for me to sit back here in this studio, looking at a guy out here, hollering my name! When last year I spent more money, on spilled liquor, in bars from one side of this world to the other, than you made! You’re talking to the Rolex wearin, diamond ring wearin, kiss stealin, WOOOO wheelin dealin, limousine ridin, jet flyin son of a gun. And I'm having a hard time holding these alligators down!

Great observations. I myself had assumed they were carrying Laurinaitis' torch, but you can read further analysis in my column for Grantland, Gaffing Out Loud: WWE And The Reality Era's Allusive Echoes Of Flubs Past.
