I'm just going to call him The Brodfather.

And of course, the gyrations are out of Big Vis's old playbook.

Ok, so just for shits and giggles, what do others in the wrestling circle think of Brodus? Well...

Tommy Dreamer: PN News & Flash Funk had a baby together.Hello Brodus Clay. I think it is time for a reinforced ring dance off me vs him vs Dusty
Jay Briscoe: Brodus Clay dancing = cosmetically pleasing
Shane Helms: Brodus Clay just became my new favorite. :-) Somebody call my Momma was Ernest Miller's line though.
King Kong Bundy: Brodus Clay, the great Bundy liked it
Steve Corino: Brodus Clay=my new favorite WWE superstar! #21CenturyDustyRhodes
Joey Styles: Retweeted John Laurinaitis
Jim Ross: Brodus Clay...ladies and gentlemen! #SauceIt ... Funky?

Surprisingly positive.

You know, as much as I hate the Brodus Clay thing in principle, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't amused by the execution. Besides, it's only fair...Brodus came up with that Hall of Pain gimmick they gave to Mark Henry, so they just gave Brodus what they were planning for Mark. #Parity

I really, really hate the Cena/Kane feud. It's the wrong kind of Kane camp. Good Kane camp, to me, is Kane can throw lightning bolts and force Lita to marry him and start his wedding vows with the line "When I selected you to carry my seed..." Bad Kane camp is Kane hooks jumper cables up to Shane McMahon's dick'n'mcnugggets, Kane abducts people in full view of television cameras, Kane endorses Ron Paul, and, well...this stuff he's doing now. Yuck. And nice of them to kinda/sorta but not really induct Benoit on a technicality. That will make some deranged Youtube commenters happy.

I've yet to figure out if that or Kerwin White's theme is the greatest entrance music of all time.

Jericho was great, I would've been disappointed if he talked the second week. I think they need to do what they should've done with Punk returning after MITB, wait like a month before he talks.

Jericho's not really needed until after the Royal Rumble, right? I think he's got something to say, but he's not going to say it until he gets his heel reaction back.

Having Flair there for the Four Horsemen ceremony would only bigfoot the moment for the others. Even if he attends just to stand there, the live crowd won't go for it, I think. And much as I'm a fan of Arn, I don't see how you justify him as a HoFer outside of the Horsemen.

Funk Clay was an unexpected surprise. Entertaining, at least for one night - and those are some fine Funkettes I must say. Considering Vince's idea of the look of a Superstar, I think this is about as good as Clay could get unless he can change the fat guy look.

I'm reserving judgment on Kane/Cena pending if they go anywhere new with Cena's character. If it's a long placeholder until Rock gets back, thumbs way down. And the whole "Slasher Flick" subplot with Ryder and Eve is silly. Maybe it gets over with the teens?

I imagine the WWE '12 message boards are in a massive upheaval because the soon-to-be released Brodus Clay DLC is now out of date ...

Was I the only one that though Curt Hawkins was Petey Williams for a second?

I heard no reaction for a lot of people last night. Kofi vs Bryan was dead. Ryder got no heat. Really, the only people who got heat last night were;

- Brodus.
- Cena
- Punk.
- Laurinaitis

Truth had some with the whats, but there were also stretches where he had none too.

There was a lot I didn't like about tonight's show even before I turned it off. Swagger who got beat last week by Cena in about 30 seconds takes Punk to the limit. I understand Punk wants to give the guys some rubs, but he needs to get an occasional steamroller victory and Swagger is that guy. I like what they did with Kofi and Bryan that was protecting your champ. I am not thrilled about the Bryan heel turn if it is that. Yet, he has shown a lot more personality during this, so I am sorta ok with it.

Jericho trolling the crowd can work for maybe one more week if that then he needs to say something or someone needs to interrupt him. My wife the Jericho fan thinks its annoying at this point. I know the IWC will love Funk Clay now, but a month from now, I think not. They did a massive disservice to this guy and I hope he can at least roll with it til they give him a new gimmick. Kane's promo made no sense. Is he trying to convince people not to boo Cena or what? I am glad I missed the 1980s slasher flat tire cliche.

I was hoping Edge would go into HOF next year in Toronto, but I get the feeling they needed a quick major name and either didn't get Macho Man or felt Foley was not big enough or blanked when they realized tickets went on sale Saturday. Either way, I think this was very last second. Same goes for the Horsemen. Why not do it in Atlanta last year? How the fuck are they going to get Flair from TNA and if they are not getting him why are they showcasing him? I hope this is not due to WWE 12 having Arn and the Horsemen theme in it and thinking kids will sorta know who they are. If that was the plan, they should have added Tully, Flair, Windham or at least JJ to the game. A game that looks out of date with no Jericho, an old version of Clay and no other DLCs on the horizon.

Also, if we are allowed to talk about Rumble 2004. I was there and it was amazing. We are allowed to talk about it, right?

Thanks for the clarification. I saw Lagana Tweet about the first Tough Enough contestant making it to TV and I couldn't rewind to double-check the dancers, so I guess I just assumed it was Christina.

And the Brodus Clay thing is even funnier when you imagine Vince McMahon before the show, demonstrating to Clay how he wants him to walk to the ring, dance, and act.

"Couldn't get" Savage? You know he'd dead, right? I think Edge being first to go in is probably because they don't want a dead guy to be their headline inductee. I'd be surprised if Savage isn't put in this year.

I would imagine Flair will show up to the HOF whether TNA give him permission to or not.

Horsemen were a big section of Arn's career, but he was also a WWF tag champ, TV Champ, National Tag Team Champ and WCW Tag Team champ in sections of his career that weren't in the Horsemen. He also had singles victories over Flair and Hogan in '95 and '96 when those were the exception, not the rule. Plus, this is the same Hall of Fame that inducated Koko B Ware 2 years ago, so the bar isn't set extremely high.

Not at all surprising. Brodus took a recycled, ridiculous idea that has all the fingerprints of Vince McMahon all over it - like geemoney said, Vince was almost certainly the one teaching Brodus the moves backstage - and HE MADE IT WORK. He sold the shit out of that Funkasaurus act. The boys respect being made to do something stupid by the office and making lemonade out of a shit sandwich.

I loved RAW. Reminded me of a late 1997 Attitude era show where they just threw weird, crazy, forehead-slapping shit at you segment after segment. Easily the best RAW of 2012.

I remember someone saying after Brodus Clay gave that speach after he was eleminated in the finals of NXT Season 4 that it was a great speach. And that with the WWe writers, he'll never give one as good as it ever again. Looks like they could tell the future.

Yes! I kinda love Brodus Clay, the guy, for going all-in on it like he did. It would be the ultimate revenge on the ridiculous, petty WWE booking if he makes this work and becomes a star despite their attempts to punish him (though what he reportedly did was kind of dumb, to be honest, but still). And he did get a crowd reaction and committed to the thing beautifully, so I think he might be able to pull it off if they don't get even more spiteful and just have him lose a lot to force it to fail. Playing this either as a straight Chocolate Thunder-esque gimmick or as something Big Johnny made him do are both viable choices if they realize this guy apparently has the personality to get himself over given a chance.

I gotta say, the juxtaposition of the expected "Fall of Man" Brodus Clay and the entrance we got made me laugh hard. That's two weeks in a row (the amazing Jericho segment last week being the first, obviously) that WWE has gotten me to legitimately laugh out loud at something they intended to be funny. Which seems like it has to be a first. Huh.

The Jericho segment wasn't quite as good this week, but only because it didn't have the "YEAHYEAHYEAH" factor. My hope is he plays this out through the Rumble. Ideal scenario: someone is left in the ring badly beaten with only #30 left to enter the match, and #30 is Jericho, who comes out and sells it like he's returning for the first time as a surprise Rumble entrant (like Cena and Edge in the recent past), and is so moved after entering the ring that he immediately vaults back over the top to go do a high five lap to the fans around the ring, eliminating himself from the Rumble and leaving the completely spent guy still in there as the winner by default.

I haven't (knowingly, at least) seen Curt Hawkins in so long that when they flashed to him brandishing his pimp cane during Clay's entrance that I momentarily thought they were adding a New Doctor of Style manager to Brodus on top of everything else.

This is all leading up to Brodus Clay vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin at Wrestlemania. The spark for the feud will be Austin asking Arianne who her favorite valet/wrestler combo of all time was, and she'll answer "Conor O'Brian and Alberto Del Rio!", infuriating Stone Cold.

There was a pause when Cena was first thrown into them where I thought, for a brief second, Lawler was going to actually ID them as "clangy pipes". Is this the first time we've seen them outside in the wild as opposed to their normal habitat of arena hallways?

Re: Kane's segment this week, I think a much stronger ending for the show would have been Kane leaving Cena and his buddy Ryder where they were and turning back to the car, only to have Eve scream "Rise above THIS!" and try to run him over. Kane could have either no-sold it and laughed or used his (new? I'm a little rusty on my Kane superpower indexing, I apologize) teleportation ability to vanish before she could hit him. Coulda been the "BURN IN HELL, YOU SON OF A BTICH!" moment this angle is searching for. I'm available to help book this Kane angle, if anybody from WWE is reading this.

I just wanna use the name LL Cool Clay before someone else does.

It looks like fun, and rasslin' should have some fun alongside the blood feuds. The frequent on-air mentions of Rikishi regarding the Usos could also now apply to him.

The induction of the Horsemen is overdue as in: they shoulda done this at the Atlanta mania. But it's happening, and I'm glad. AND THE INDUCTION VIDEO SHOWS THE SUIT-WEARING FANS FROM THE ATLANTA STUDIO! JR loves to call a "Double A spinebuster," and TNA champ Roode calls his the "Double R" in homage. Arn is my favorite of all the times, and I'm delighted he gets a moment in the spotlight.

I don't blame Edge at all for walking away from the WE immediately after being told he had to stop wrestling right then and there. But I hope he returns as a commentator or manager. He's too good to stay away. The company needs guys on the mic who can think quickly and talk smoothly.

So... if they REALLY want to rehash a dance gimmick of all the ones they've done... it shouldn't be funk. Should be LMFAO Party Rock Anthem which is probably the MOST OVER DANCE SONG IN THE UNIVERSE, right now. Anyways.

Rest of the show that I caught, Santino & Sheamus. The tag team of S & S? I could get behind that odd couple paring.

I missed the opening & probably need to find it because it sounds like a psychological thriller where the bad guy is really pointing out how society is sick then the hero shows up to see if he can right that.

Punk / Ziggler great. Botched ending, fine with... adds story.

Probably need to watch the ending too... not a bad RAW but a little lacking on the wrestling end, story everywhere but that happens a lot with the big E.
