They finally put the belt on a Bella, but not Nikki? That's kinda odd. Nikki was the one bringing all the awesome during NXT3 and subsequent Raw appearances. You'd think she'd be the one to win it.

Am I the only one who thought Morrison would turn heel and cost R-Truth, setting up a feud with the two? Or maybe I was just hoping for it so my son's WWE Rumblers collection would have another heel.

Sin Cara ... eh, I'll try not to judge based on that one match, but that was boring as shit.

Where was Christian during the Edge backstage tribute? Logically, he should have been at the top of the Gorilla position, or wherever they were, instead of Ziggler.

Very touching, to see the heels and faces embrace him after the speech.

They need to dump Sin Cara's theme and get him something way more uptempo. I get the general idea of creating this important, mysterious vibe, but it doesn't fit his style and it's a buzzkill after his matches. It kind of sounds like a holdover from the the Dragon/Matador/Saba Simba days and not befitting a guy they hope can replace Misterio.

I kind of like the temporary, weirdo Truth push and the way he keeps accidentally (?) threatening to force Cena into a heel turn.

Are we meant to assume that Mason Ryan is the new leader of the Nexus? That's kind of odd. I did like the tour of the Corre's grab bag of accents during their mic segment. Also nice to see Bryan coming out with the warmup jacket, which his look has needed. I'd still kind of like to see them transition towards a Bryan/Barrett feud somehow, especially if Wade can do all the talking so we don't need to see Bryan laugh through his lines, and I'm sure Heath Slater has lots of crazy ideas to let Bryan try to murder him.

They whiffed on the Swagger segment if they're actually going to turn him (which wouldn't have been a bad idea). The crowd was ready for it and wanted to see him tee off on Cole, but they just let it die off, and Lawler's subsequent announcement was a total dud after that. Shame to see them repeatedly miss the payoff after this feud had such a great build.

I was really expecting Edge to come out and announce that he was going to retire at next year's Wrestlemania, to continue the year-in-advance booking. He came through, as he always does, as the master of WWE continuity. I'll miss the guy for a lot of reasons, but being the kind of guy who remembers and needs to bring up his weird time as a mute homeless guy is chief among them. I echo statments in the other thread that I'd like to see him eventually get some kind of role as a commentator/GM/host after he's had time off to wear normal human pants for a while.

Confrontation I most want to see now: Randy Orton - the one true master of repeating oneself - against his potential usurper, Michael Cole. "Michael...Michael Cole. Are you trying to be like me? Are you trying to be like me?" "Whaddya mean, Randy? Whaddya mean, Randy? Randy? Whaddya mean? Whaddya mean, Randy? Orton, what are you talking about? Whaddya mean, Randy?" (This would be a 15 minute segment).

ahaaaa

needs italics to be authentic Orton. "Michael Cole, Michael Cole says that he thinks, that he thinks he's the only undefeated superstar in WWE."

If the backstage heat on Morrison is what lead to R-Truth being in the main event after jobbing hard for months, then Morrison has already turned heel…at least in my house.

If they decided right that day for "here's the mic, say your say" could it have been too late to get Christian over in RAW when he's wrestling at the Smackdown tapings the next day?

They - finally - just have to put the championship (note to J. R.: "title" or "belt" are both banned terms now) on Christian now, right? Right?

How awesome was that Kong vignette? Simple, but effective! Good job, WWE.

Battle Cat 2 aka Sin Cara - so far - is NOT as sensational as they keep telling us ... over and over again. Why does he fuck up all of his entrances then? And why does his finisher look like the fakest thing I have ever seen in pro entertainment ("wrestling" is a banned term now as well)? Why wasn't that guy sent to FCW first? He sure as hell should have been.

Judging from his crowd reactions and considering that WWE is now simply "WWE" and no longer about "wrestling" at all: Why not make Santino your new poster boy and next WWE champion?

Honestly, he would be as valid as a number one contender as R-Truth of all people. I mean, come on, R-Truth? Really?

The backlash against Sin Cara after one pretty good sub-five-minute match is hysterical. Buncha John Morrisons you people are.

The Kong promo was intriguing. Flicking the head off a doll... knowing WWE, her gimmick will be something to behold. At this point I'm predicting something between Papa Shango and Mankind... perhaps even a witch!

Methinks that's giving WWE too much credit, to set up a Divas storyline to take out Awesome Kong before Kong even debuts, gets over, looks dominant, etc, etc. I would assume they'd want to establish that BEFORE all the Divas united to take her out, leaving that to happen way down the road.

This is the same creative that's setting up matches over a year in advance, right? The whole point of the dissension would be to explain why they didn't immediately team up to take her out. Once Kong runs roughshod over everyone, then Michelle McCool can rally all of the divas together to defeat her and take back the Diva's Championship and receive a Lex Lugar like celebration from all of the other divas.

Are you REALLY comparing setting up a hot, money-making WM main event a year in advance to a Divas program? I think your explanation of the angle could hold water, but again, I certainly don't see WWE bothering to take the time to set up what should be a six-month angle for the Divas right now. They have very little history recently of setting up and successfully following through any kind of extended Divas angle on Raw.

I also can't believe that people are unimpressed with Sin Cara after that outing. I think it's just nice to see a different style and some athleticism on Raw, all packaged into WWE style.

Welcome home, men of the 2nd Bn, 127th Infantry, 32d "Red Arrow" Brigade, WI Army National Guard! Job well done in Iraq!

LOVED how they presented the Lawler/Swagger match in natsound. (What WAS Josh doing that whole time?) Makes sense, with how much Cole talks.

JR as a manager brings an old-school NWA-type touch to Raw. So cool. Awesome to hear him work it at ringside.

I think her gimmick will simply be "beating the living shit out of the Barbie Doll Divas".

How much effort does it take to look at Kong and realize that it's going to take the entire diva's locker room to stop her? It's not like I'm suggesting they've planned out every nuance of a long term angle, I'm just saying they've planted the completely obvious seeds.

The part about McCool wasn't meant to suggest that creative already had the entire angle planned out, that was a joke, suggesting the absolute worst possible ending in the eyes of most of the people on this board who have deemed Michelle McCool this decade's HHH.

After rethinking it, I realize that they're probably going with Gail seeing the promo and realizing that Kong is coming and convincing Eve to secretly intentionally drop the title to save her own life, transitioning it to the Bellas, who everyone wants to see killed.

The more likely scenario is that she debuts under her real name so Lawler can make car jokes and rip on her for her recent arrest. Within 6 weeks she'll be LayCool's backup. Alicia Fox will also be drafted to Smackdown and team up with Layla to serve as McCool's personal dance troupe, while Naomi will be called up from FCW to play the part of McCool's personal trainer.

I must've FF'd through the Kong vignette! When was it?

Don't get all the Sin Cara bashing. Yeah, he blew his finisher, but the rest of the match was fine. I agree about him needing better music though. Also, replace the turquiose in his costume with dark blue or black.

I FF'd through it too! DVR: the answer and cause to all life's problems.

I don't get the bashing either. It looked to me like Primo blew the spot more than Sin Cara. Also, the move where he did a back flip off of Primo's chest reminded me of Starman from the old game.

I don't get all the people saying they don't get the backlash against Sin Cara. Especially since there doesn't appear to be any backlash against Sin Cara, unless they're replying on the wrong forum.

One person said they were bored by the match but wouldn't judge him based on a single outing, one person complained about his theme music. Only one person actually "bashed" Sin Cara and their only specific complaints were that his trampoline entrance looks like shit (which it does) and his finisher looks fake (which it does, but no more so than the Canadian Destroyer, which I love.) I was underwhelmed by the total lack of storytelling in the match but I don't blame that on Sin Cara since half of the WWE roster is missing that critical skill.

What was super awesome about Brie winning the title was she and Nikki totally heeled it up. Brie didn't win the title and burst into tears of joy like every other Diva who has won the pink butterfly in the last year. First thing she did was make the loser sign on her forehead and taunt the beaten Eve, and then nothing but heely victory celebration.

And then they went on taunting Eve on Twitter:
