I just got back from the show - it was pretty good. Kind of funny listening to all of the kids around me. The kid chanting "RKO - Go King Sheamus" and another one wearing all Cena gear chanting for CM Punk made my night.
I also have to sadly admit that despite everything I have heard about Cena only being over with women and kids, he's pretty well over with everyone. As far as I could see, grown men were bouncing up and down with excitement for Cena and Orton alike. Orton's pop was way bigger though.
Vickie's heat is absolutely ridiculous though. I literally didn't hear a word she said all night. I had to read the recap here to figure out what she was talking about, because the crowd overpowered her mike. Easily the loudest reaction of the night - save the Rock though.
People were screaming EVERYTHING when the lights went out, from Undertaker and Sting to a string of random wrestlers that made no sense at all. But Rock absolutely owned the night - though I have to admit, some of the Cena fans were a little uncomfortable when Rock was ripping him apart - a few guys in front of me stood up and thrust their Cena signs right in the air. A few Cena-sucks chants started though.
In case you are curious, they did do the dark match after the show with CM Punk/Miz vs Orton/Cena, with Cole as the ref. Punk did a hilarious People's Elbow attempt where he threw his Nexus armband out of the ring and bounced off the ropes like 10 times before finally dropping (and missing) the thing.
Also, Cena stuck his tongue down some chick's throat after the show. I can only imagine she was his girlfriend or something - it is Valentine's Day, and she was in the front row - but he was sucking on her face for several minutes. It was kind of creepy.
Superstars had a pair of tag matches - The Usos vs. Yoshi Tatsu (who was very over) and DH Smith. Smith was actually more impressive than I was used to. Maybe it was live - but he seemed to have a couple good moves this time around. Santino and Koslov had what I think was a non-title match against Zach Ryder and Primo.
Oh, and the Rock has been gone too long. The kids had no idea who he was. A bunch I saw just sat down and looked bored through his whole promo.
OMG, that Rock segment was so awesome. But I can't think about it too much. WWE is trying to distract me from deciphering the final clue of the Sting / Undertaker code. I maintained focus, though, and I believe I broke it.
The final cabin vignette showed the figure of the mystery man, and it was very clearly the Undertaker, right? Nope. Ready?

Now, WWE will change their plans since someone figured them out (as they are known to do). I guess we'll see the Undertaker next week. :-)

I'd say he'll stick around past Mania. I think he has the acting bug out of his system; and frankly it's not like his last couple of movies have set the box office on fire.
Yeah he gets paid a shit ton to make those movies and he's got a movie coming out around WrestleMania as well as two more movies due out this year. He is far from done with the movie business.

And The Rock single handidly showed us the pathetic shell that the WWE has become in the past decade. Everyone has become so accustomed to mediocrity that they've started thinking guys like Shaemus, Miz and Ziggler are main event material.
The Rock is so beyond everyone else in the charisma department that it was like watching a different show.

You missed the most obvious clue: Undertaker being shown IN the house means the guy OUTSIDE the house is Sting.
No seriously, I saw people putting that out there tonight as a legit theory. Keep hope alive?
God I missed the Rock. Best 20 minutes of Raw in ages.
After reading through this thread I decided to - ahem - acquire Raw so I could watch The Rock's appearance at the end.
Even though I knew exactly what was going to happen and even though I knew almost word-for-word what he was going to say (thanks, geemoney!) that was probably my favorite 20+ minutes of Raw EVER. Goosebumps all over when his music hit. I think I even had goosebumps on my eyeballs. I ate up every last bit of it. Someone forgot to tell him WWE is PG now, that's for sure. Pretty funny listening to the censors try to keep up.
Towards the end when he was staring up into the sky and pausing FOREVER before "...is cooking" I tried to imagine how badly my head would have exploded if they showed him looking up in the rafters at Sting.

At least two of those guys are far better wrestlers than The Rock ever was.
All I want out of this is to see The Rock and Vickie in the ring at the same time to see if the crowd gets loud enough to blow the mics out.

That single promo from The Rock is better than just about everything Cena has ever done.

Wrestlemania now feels special. I do think, he will be around for more then Mania or I at least hope so. Cena vs. Rock has to happen now. Let Morrison win the Chamber. Its not like the title has meant anything since Cena/Nexus started over the summer. Minus the god awful Kiss Cam shit, this has to be the best Raw in years. Very good matches, a great build towards a PPV as well as Mania and genuine surprise to end the show.
Sheamus, Miz and Dolph are not better wrestlers then Rock. Rock is the most underrated wrestler ever. Everyone thinks he is a promo guy, but he is one of the best wrestlers who lived. Nothing, nothing any current WWE wrestler has done has matched Rock/Austin at X-7 or Rock/Jericho at No Mercy 2002 or Rock/HHH at Judgement Day 2000. Those matches are legendary. And those are just the tip of the iceberg. He has proven himself on some of the big stages and none of those guys have main-evented Mania, SummerSlam or even Survivor Series.

This is the worst false equivalency I've seen in a long, long time. There are two guys in the history of pro-wrestling who could be considered to have the same level of charisma and star wattage of The Rock. Faulting Miz, Sheamus and Dolph Ziggler for not being generation-defining global cross-over megastars is straight-up dumb.

Ah, but they DID try to bleep teh first "ass", but then 10pm passed, and look out PG-13~! No more bleeeping. When they didn't even try to bleep out Cole's candy ass, that was that.
Holy shit, did I ever freak out when "If you smell........" started. HOLYSHIT~! HOLY FUCK~! I CAN'T FUCKING BELIEVE IT~! The entire promo. It being after, and he was still going strong. I was surprised he didn't go until half past the hour. Eating out of his hand? That was me.
So, the videos are definitely Taker. Who's to say that Deadman doesn't come out, then the arena goes dark again once the place gets done going apeshit, and there stand Sting. Bat Babe Ruth'd right at Taker. If they pull that off, the WWE stock my co-workers bought two weeks ago might just pay off for them.
I was totally waiting for one of the Bella's tops to malfunction during the catfight. Sadly, it was not to be.
Lawler wins on Sunday for his Mom? Could be? Miz's condolences and mini-promo were perfect for where they were put into.
Fruity Pebbles/Barney's Anus, indeed.
-edit- Goddammit, y'all know how I really want 2 12 11 to be Sting. I was ok with the Taker shots in the videos last night until I jsut saw this on DVDVR:
"But, then you have the Undertaker stuff. Did anyone else notice that the whole time, he was in the cabin, then at the end, someone in a trenchcoat/jacket was outside walking towards the cabin? I'm not one for the Sting rumors, but I'm just sayin'."
So, I went to wwe.com (and watched some of The Rock's extra post-RAW stuff, too!), and sho 'nuff, they show Taker in the window, and then there is another figure outside the cabin.
Next Monday should be glorious.
-edit part deux:
DOUBLEFUCKBEANS. The Torch alluded to it being Michaels dressed as UT, which it very well could be:

Well..it depends on how you define wrestler. It's the good old "technical marvel" vs "showman" debate. Rock was NEVER a great skilled grappler. He is however a master at making his spots count. The Sharpshooter? It was terrible. But he made it look good because his face was contorted like he was trying to pull off your legs. Some of his other moves were very well executed, but it's the way he presents himself that makes him who he is. SPIT SLAP? Erhm...sure....but we all love(d) it.
So yes, nothing any current WWE wrestler has done has matched Rock/Austin if you look at making your spots count and having the crowd eat out of your hand. But if you want wrestling moves/skills/spots there's quite a few. Undertaker-HBK must be the closest match in the past decade that combined both showmanship and skills at the highest level.

I love the Santo movies. One minute he's wrestling, another he's chasing down a monster, and the next he's in a whore house! There's no one even comparable in the US to Santo in Mexico, not even close.
