Um, didn't "that place" burn to the ground?
I can't believe you're all missing the blatantly obvious. It's a returning figure, also being announced as Raw GM.
BY GAWD IT'S GOOD OLE JR!
Seriously though, I haven't watched an episode of Raw since about three weeks after the Nexus invasion, but saw "MAJOR STORYLINE! COMING MONDAY NIGHT" on Rajah, and for the life of me, nothing seemed like a major storyline at all.
I'm hoping for the Zombie to return from his initial debut in ECW.
I never understood why The Zombie had to lay down for that old fat guy on ECW's debut show. They totally buried a perfectly fine gimmick that night. I think (and now I'm getting half-serious) it really might have worked ... at least for a few weeks or so.

With "The Walking Dead" becoming as big a hit as it is, I'm actually wondering if The Zombie might have actually been ahead of his time.

I loved the Raw Rumble on one hand, but as someone that paid to see the Royal Rumble on Sunday (well, paid 1/3rd with two friends), I feel a bit ripped off. We got a better version of a Rumble here for free. I know that TV ratings are king now, but does WWE need to constantly do this sort of thing to their fans?
Two or three years ago, WWE had like everybody do the "skin the cat" move at the Royal Rumble. I even remember Big Show doing a variation of it. But this year, there were none of those (that I remember). On Raw, we got several, including R-Truth. And while Morrison's leap at Sunday's Rumble was great, the people at Raw got 3 or 4 awesome Morrison maneuvers to stay in the Rumble match.
I guess that I shouldn't complain too loudly when I enjoyed the Raw Rumble match as much as I did. Still, since I don't watch most WWE PPV's, I can see why more and more people choose to wait for the free TV shows.

WWE has been gutsy with its booking with Lawler winning now; how come I have the feeling that Lawler will somehow have to defend his #1 contender spot for the EC and lose it? It seems that the World Heavyweight Title will be defended in the EC so why not the WWE Championship.... There is still a few weeks before the PPV so anything can change. If the WWE title is to be defended in the EC, I really do not see a 60+year old in the chamber.
It's not being defended in the EC, the number one contendership match is in the EC. It's a testament to how fucked the past few WM builds have been that literally everyone expects Del Rio to lose his shot or the challenger at EC to change in the two weeks between the show or the WWE title match to somehow become a triple threat. Hopefully this is the year they get back to basics.
The February PPV is always going to be the WWE's we changed our minds PPV or we changed our minds at the Rumble, so we have use this PPV to work the kinks out. I am hoping for some changes from Miz/Cena like Morrison instead of Cena and maybe ADR moving out of the title picture as well. Yet, it all looks locked in stone. Mania is turning into a regular PPV then the Showcase of the Immortals, it should be.
I am not sure why people buy the regular PPVs anymore. Nothing rarely happens and most of the title changes happen on TV anyway. I can see why WWE changed the PPVs in gimmicks, so the fan doesn't feel ripped off. I have to agree with Lance Storm, they need to make the PPVs feel special again. The ratings game is important for USA, but the ratings have been just steady for years. Steady isn't sexy and its showing with the stock. TNQ is reporting a 11% decrease this year or quarter while getting rid of their Wrestling MMO. Yes, they are great for cable until football comes around then they lose their number 1 spot. They need to shake things up again, because I am thinking another lower then normal buy for Mania unless a "Dream match" or two happens between now and then.
Well, considering its one of the best matches of the last few months, yeah. It also proves my point that too much is being wasted on free TV. Its not like we haven't see Cena/Miz before. We will probably get Miz/Cena between now and Mania in a variety of matches anyway probably even one on one. I just think its stupid to end Cena/Punk without any real resolution just for the sake of throwing another match at Mania. To be fair, I can actually see it becoming a fatal four-way by the time they get to Mania between Miz, Punk, Cena and Orton.
