Nothing - they can use the block WWF logo, just not the scratch WWF logo. And they can call it the World Wrestling Federation all they want, just not the WWF.

Really? I swore that in some of the newer dvd's that they've pixelated out the block WWF logo in some of the older matches. Might be my old timers memory biting me in the hinder. Sorry!

Not sure about the DVDs, but they use the block logo on 24/7 all the time, and do say "World Wrestling Federation", but do mute the F in WWF.

Have they explained why John Morrision keeps coming out to save Santino? Or is he just now the random good guy that helps any face that's in trouble?

That reminds me, I like how they manage to give Sheamus and Santino a program and somehow have it go on for 3+ weeks now.
And it doesn't even drop Sheamus in status so to say.
In the meantime, it's obvious it will turn into Sheamus vs Morrison at some point which could be a good feud for both.

Well booked imo.

I think where they're going with this is Otunga loses to Edge on Smackdown this week and is unceremoniously drummed out of Nexus.....thus allowing him to interfere (since he isn't a Nexus member anymore) at Survivor Series and help Barrett. It's the old Russo fake-turn swerve, except WWE is playing it out over several shows, not in 50 minutes like on TNA.

Perhaps, but it's a no DQ match. So even if every member of Nexus interferes ... what happens? Cena can't disqualify Barrett. There's no teeth to the bannination, because there's no penalty available. I suppose the GM could suspend them the next day, but that still gets Barrett the title.

Sheamus beat Morrison in a singles match not too long ago. In a nice bit of old school booking, they may not have mentioned it on air but obviously Morrison is not happy with that loss.

It's a nice little piece of work, actually. Santino, a crowd favorite, is a sympathetic figure. Sheamus, already a monster heel, will obviously get a larger reaction than usual for picking on Santino. But they want to introduce a third party into the picture, and transition some of that heat to the third party. And we may have seen how well that kind of chemistry can work when KOSLOV got some chants.

But of course, we all know Morrison is the real third party who they want to benefit.

Morrison and Santino were also Bragging Rights teammates. Morrison also knows deep down that Sheamus needs someone to work with and beat right before Triple H comes back.

I used to be a Cole hater, but he has been growing on me, even with this over-the-top hatred of Daniel Bryan (I bet those two are best buds offscreen).

Actually, it drops Sheamus status in a big way. Just two months, he was World Champion and the #1 heel on Raw. He was the headliner for PPV's. Now he's feuding with Santino, Kozlow, and John Morrison.

Now he's the #3 heel on Raw and reduced down to mid-card status.

I don't think it's his fault, the rise of Wade Barrett as the #1 heel had a lot to do with it.

I thought the same thing. But this is what is going to happen, and everyone can see it coming a mile away.

Otunga loses to Edge on Smackdown and gets kicked out of Nexus. Otunga shows up on the PPV, helps Barrett win. He can help Barrett because Otunga is no longer a member of Nexis. Barrett wins, becomes world champ. Cena FU's Otunga after the match, attacks Barrett, then the rest of Nexis runs out, and beats Cena to a pulp. Cena gets his few weeks off to do his movie and comes back around New Year's to build up for Wrestlemania.

Orton and Cena are both in the angle with Barrett so who else is there for Sheamus to work with besides Morrison right now? He only needs to kill time for a month or so before Triple H comes back.

I disagree. The way they use him in the feud (Santino just accidentally escapes getting killed over and over) does not drop his stock all of a sudden. He is the former champ who will splat the little gnat Santino once he gets his hands on him. Kozlov is a non-factor in all of this.

And Morrison is one of those people whom we might not care too much at this point but he is currently being used at a lower level than you'd expect him to be. He used to get the cheers, he's got the looks and the skills to be brushing with the main event. They just haven't used him in the past couple of months.

I think he was literally explaining himself, i.e how his character came to be.

Missed most of the show, but have a question: Was Cena specifically granted an exemption by the GM to be at ringside/perform the duties of the referee, or can he throw himself out since he is a member of Nexus and thus banned from ringside?

I personally think that it's going to go down with the Otunga swerve as well, but then after Barrett wins and Cena thumps them, Miz comes down and cashes in his MITB and Cena happily counts the 3. Barrett won the title, so Cena is free, and Cena gets to kick Nexus in the ass on the way out.
(And then we get to listen to Miz the next night talk about the irony of John Cena handing Miz the title.)

Orton may not always be all that and a bag of chips, but he does little things well a lot of times. During the ten man, I loved his evil grin as Cena gave him the five count before the rope-DDT, just letting John know he was going to milk it for all it was worth. His promos are still never better than average, but he has good mannerisms.

I don't think Sheamus has been reduced because no one actually think Santino is even close to really being better than him. He's treated like a scary monster (although Santino, subversive that he is, can't help poking at him). I actually weirdly think Sheamus could be a very popular face, when the time comes to turn him.

I do MUCH prefer Matthews/Cole to King/Cole. I just don't think King brings much to the table anymore. All his chemistry was with J.R. and it's probably long past time he moved on so Cole could have a partner he can actually gel with.

I was looking at the Surivor Series 2002 DVD and I just thought I'd note that it was interesting to see real, out of character interviews on it as extras.
