Wow, no Raw thread yet? I don't have a write-up, but I thought the show was entertaining enough. McMahon & McMahon was dumb, but in a fun-dumb way. Same with the Pee Wee, Miz, and "Big Pee Wee" part. I wasn't a huge Pee Wee Herman fan, but I knew the basics enough to be amused. I also thought it was a fun touch to have A-Ri be a Pee Wee fan.

I thought there was some interesting progression in the "will or won't Cena help Barrett" angle, with some psychology added on both sides. I'm not a huge fan of the big focus on "Free or Fired" when it involves the *referee* but that's what they gotta do, I guess. Personally I think it'd be hilarious for Orton to confidently tell Miz he'd grant him a one-on-one shot the day after Survivor Series, then at Survivor Series Cena helps Barrett win ... only to have Cena and Orton beat him down badly and Miz cash in the MITB. Then on Monday, Orton reminds Miz of their match, wins the title back, and reveals it was all a clever ruse he and Cena put together to get him free! This could easily lead to a heel Cena, too, as he's forced to play second fiddle and hear Orton talk about how he saved him from Nexus.

One thing I wasn't so much a fan of was the Hart Dynasty angle continuation. Crap or get off the pot -- how many times do we have to see them cost each other a match before they break up? We all know it's coming, just get it over with already. The one thing they've done positive is make it unclear who'll be the heel -- both have acted heel-like when costing the other a pinfall.

Finally, welcome back Lita, even if it was only for five seconds!

I was dismayed by the lack of response Pee Wee Herman got from the Long Island crowd but he seemed to win most of them over by mocking The Miz.

The main event itself wasn't very interesting but the promos revolving Orton and CeNexus were. Orton dressed down Cena pretty well. Orton ALSO seems to have screwed up and might have given away a Last Man Standing stipulation for Survivor Series heretofore unmentioned.

I liked R-Truth stirring the pot as well. All of the R-Truth backstage stuff seemed like a storyline right out of Smackdown vs. RAW 2011. He's a curious addition to this quarrel between the top guys in the top angle in the company. And I liked that John Cena, himself a rapper, didn't know what "get buck" meant. Or maybe he just pays no attention to R-Truth.

I bet Wade Barrett made Cena scrub his back extra vigorously after that loss in the main event. Barrett should have ended the show sitting in bubbles in a black marble tub with a yellow N emblazoned on the side as Cena works his back with a scrubber.

The LayCool act has been prominent for months as the top act amongst the Divas and has been on as many as three shows per week plus pay per views. And it still gets no response from the crowd, not even X-Pac boos. LayCool's not over, they're under. (Taker)

If Lita does come back as Meltzer says, it's good for her at least Cryme Tyme is broken up so they can't steal and sell her underpants again.

But who cares about RAW? There's a wedding on NXT tonight! Don't you dare crash this wedding, Ted and Maryse.

Yeah, I am a little surprised the usual suspects have not put out a thread yet. I guess they are voting or celebrating the Giants win. I also don't like the Hart Dynasty break up. They already broke up Rhodes and McIntyre this week, its not like we had a plethora of tag teams to choose from to start. A turn is coming for either Cena or R-Truth. What little I saw between Baseball and Football was just ok. Did they endorse Linda in the sketch if so, major election violation. I missed Lita as well and according to Metzler she maybe coming back.

They didn't verbally endorse Linda. Vince had Linda McMahon bumper stickers on his chest. However, when he turned around at the end, he had a sign for the opponent on his ass. So, technically, they gave each candidate equal time!

I loved Pee Wee vs. the Miz, especially Alex Reilly being a fan and his incredulousness towards Mr. Herman.

If Lita's really back for good (and while she is my 2nd favorite female wrestler ever, part of me hopes she isn't, for her own health and good)...what better way to reintroduce her than in a backstage game of Twister with Mark Henry? Buh? (Also how weird would it be to have her back in the company, yet zero Hardyz.)

Santino telling Sheamus he was planning on making it rain later with his dollar bills did crack me up.

That was my intepretation too...but really, what ridiculous Wrestlecrap...with Freddie Prinze Jr. as the doctor too!

I opted to watch the Giants win the World Series around the time of that nonsense.

I dunno, I thought it was entertaining enough. They had a few funny bits where McMahon was being told all the things going on currently with WWE, with his heart rate spiking at teach (Undertaker buried, Golddust getting married), and then he was told that Cena was actually part of Nexus. "Yeah, right. Next you'll tell me that Daniel Bryan is US Champion."

I will never understand Vince McMahon's weird sense of humor. It's like it stopped at 13 years old. All the vignettes about what a professional and respectable organization the company is were negated by a 60 year old with a political sign hanging off his ass.

Pee-Wee Herman and WWE is such a weird mix. They tried, but I agree that the crowd just didn't seem as into it as they should have been. That is Cyndi Lauper's voice singing his theme song and I'm surprised she hasn't been back in.

I love that The Miz is such a narcissist that his lackey looks just like him.

Still having a hard time buying into the idea that John Cena -top number one super-duper fan favorite moneymaker- is in any real danger of being fired.

Dont ask me how I know this, because I couldn't tell you but Lita is a HUGE Pee-Wee fan. I cant remember where I read it, I think it had something to do with her retiremement, but supposedly she just loves Pee-Wee. I think her appearance had more to do with Pee-Wee than a return, but I could be wrong. If she loves Pee-Wee so much, why doesnt she marry him?

PWInsider said that the Pee Wee bit was much more over live then it came across on television (It wasn't in an article but, rather, in an audio so I can't link it.. sorry)

Count me in the camp that loved both the Pee Wee stuff and the McMahon stuff - sure it was campy but there were some nice one liners in from Vince (even if it was kind of implausible to be in a coma when he was just on television a week or so ago announcing the Stand Up for WWE campaign). I don't think there was an issue with election stuff, either, since they didn't really tell the audience who to vote for - it mostly came off as an SNL skit, which would be protected by parody.

Also, I'm a sucker for Freddie Prinze Jr!

Ive been to many events at the Colosseum and I always found that the live crowd seems WAY hotter than it comes off on TV. Must be the acoustics in the building or something.

when Prinze Jr was standing there as doctor I rolled my eyes.
"They think we don't know he works there?"

But when Vince woke up it went from wtf to omg! and I thought it was great.

Somehow it felt as a sort of reset almost.
Like...we had to take ourselves serious during the election campaign. But now we can be idiotic again.

Not that some stuff hasn't been idiotic but I think you know what I mean.

The jokes were lame but amused me.
The rest of the show was alright.
Love the intrigue that Orton added by pointing out ll the stuff about Cena and Nexus.

Oh, and Danie Bryan beating DiBiase cleanly was good.
It shows how they actually seem to believe in Bryan and how far Ted has fallen on the "needs to be protected" ladder.

Is that what Santino said?? I couldn't make it out, so that's awesome.

Lita looked quite nice.

It's amazing how little time you have for stuff like this when you have a significant other. That said, I should be back to the full recap next week.

The Vince skit was odd, but I suppose not unexpected the day before the vote. Daniel Bryan got a good match out of Ted DiBiase, and the women had a nice match too, longer than usual. Even the Pee Wee segment wasn't a trainwreck that it could've been.

Oh, good, I DIDN'T imagine that. Thanks! (And I bet you turn out correct, since it's what I thought as well.)

I think the Pee Wee stuff would have been better if it were a backstage bit instead of an in ring one. I can see why people wouldn't like it, but I still liked it. I'm also a Pee Wee nerd.

Vince just can't help himself. I can't see Linda or the people who worked on her campaign all this time being thrilled with how this played out, but like Bill Parcells always said, "You are who you are."

Cena not dressing in Nexus gear just annoys me. I know he sells lots of gear, but wouldn't he sell Nexus gear if he were to wear it? If Barrett is having his back scrubbed wouldn't he want to see Cena in full Nexus uniform?

I don't understand why. I think it's really well done, and one of the better bits to come out of the Woman's division in a long time.

If the payoff for Santino is watching Sheamus destroy him than I'm in.

Was anyone else immediately turned off the second the show started - when Orton came to the top of the ramp and started smiling at the crowd? Way too babyface-ish for him. I seem to remember The Rock behaving the same way...right before the big heel turn at Survivor Series 1998. :-)

I like this thing where Daniel Bryan wins all the time. Punk getting shoulder surgery the week he started the Bryan feud is one of the more disappointing things to happen in recentimes. I hope they go right back to it since they're probably keen to work together but who knows what the lay of the land will be in four or five months.

Only silver lining I can figure is that by the time Punk gets back, his greasy black locks may be grown back.
