Mainly watching the Jags/Titans game (THAT was a mistake...) so no recap this week either. Should be back on track next week. From what I did see:

- WWE, ever on the cutting edge of sports entertainment, decided to build Bragging Rights with...a battle royal. How original! And they seemed to do a big hard-sell for the show this week, but too bad they don't care to try the other 51 weeks out of the year.

- Bobb'e J. Thompson cut a pretty nice promo in the ring prior to the main event.

- Daniel Bryan = Lance Storm.

- WWE is family-friendly entertainment! Really! Please believe us.

Man...that video...that is the video that WWE's Corporate marketing team sends to the makers of PaperJamz to get them to sponsor the next PPV...it is NOT the video you show to your fans in the middle of your flagship show, bragging about how they break down in terms of demographics. (It also contained at least 2 shots of the current TNA World Champ.) And to follow it up with Michael Cole "the voice of the WWE" speaking Vince's words about elitists looking down on the 'E...that's just ballsy and stupid.

Also stupid - putting Hornswoggle on commentary for a Battle Royal. That got me to tune out.

We also got a karaoke video so we all now know what the lyrics are to R-Truth's new song so everyone can sing along again.

Boy, John Cena really agonized over the beat-down of one of his mortal enemies...

The Divas throwing a bucket of glitter on Vickie and dancing with Daniel Bryan? Really??

And I KNEW that CM Punk's "if he's a chicken, you're a turkey" sounded familiar...

Where was Goldust for the Battle Royal?
If they show the clip of Evan Bourne being injured by Punk every week, does that extend the losing streak?
Since Cole was arguing with Teddy Long away from the announce table and on camera while the GM was attempting to send messages, does that eliminate him from GM consideration? And, why couldn't he communicate via text message as he has in the past?
Perhaps it would be a better use for the infomercial on How Great They Are if they ran it on programming that wasn't already their own. You already have these people watching your broadcast, all you are doing is potentially driving them away. You lure in ZERO new viewers with that spot.
Heartbreaking to have John Cena be forced to watch his longtime friend and partner of 5 seconds be dismantled. They should put a highlight video of the Cena/Orton friendship together with the tune Memories being played. Also, what now for Rotundo/Hennig?

Odd, how DH Smith tried to set up a Sharpshooter.

I was begging for John Cena to get into the fray with Orton and just pummel him, thoroughly embracing the dark side. The entire reluctant servant whatever angle is boring.

Husky Harris really impresses me. I just wish he had a better name. What was wrong with his given name, outside of the fact that WWE doesn't own it?

A side note and question: I'll be attending the Smackdown tapings tomorrow, and I'm excited. How much are T-shirts at Canadian shows?

Not a good show in my opinion, and who in the heck was the actor in the ring? Apparently, no one in the audience cared either.

Why would Cena not want to do an FU to Orton, after all the crap Orton did to him in the past? Did Cena forget that Randy Orton punted John Cena's father in the skull? It's amazing how quick the memory loss is among WWE entertainers. And apparently, how quickly the fans forget also.

@Oliver: I think they use the name Husky Harris, because the WWE doesn't want to use his real name, in case he ever leaves WWE. WWE can't copyright or hold claim to a true name. Still, it's a lame name.

I get the feeling the WWE is happier with a PG rating and getting a 2.7 Neilson rating then an R rating and getting a 3.7

Speaking of which, with Harris and McGullity getting destroyed like they did tonight, how do you build them up to join Nexus?

And I think they are planning to unify the IC-US Title belts... It's long been rumored.

Why was Raw's Michael Cole wearing a blue shirt?

WWE logo becoming a giant TV PG logo was so great. Also, it following a bathroom joke in the trailer for Big Show's movie.

The Divas throwing a bucket of glitter on Vickie

If you didn't watch RAW, read that literally. Gail had the bucket, and tossed the bucket at Vicky. Glitter flew everywhere, though not as much on Vickie. Eve understood the segment enough to take the bucket and actually dump the glitter on Vickie.

My impression was that it was just a match for funsies. They didn't say anything about belts up for grabs.

Bout $30. Was there live, the post-Raw match was fatal 4-way for WWE title...Orton vs Barret vs BRET HART vs Cena...who was removed by Wade for his attitude on Raw & replaced by Sheamus who got RKO'd & pinned. Nexus attacked Orton after, Bret (who came in street clothes & spend the entire match at ringside) came in for the save, Orton isolated Slater who got a Sharpshooter & sold it pretty well leaving, limping and eventually falling down & crawling away.

I shook Bret's hand as he went around ringside after. You probably heard several chants of "We want Bret" during the show and you will during the Raw Superstars matches. Was kinda funny as crowd went crazy thinking it was Bret every time the Bret ad for SD vs Raw aired.

I had floor seats (thus the hand shake), Aksana looks as hot in person as you think, tried to get her attention to show some NXT love & maybe some blown kisses but no luck. Came to ringside during Daniels/Ziggler in hopes of KAITLYN but no luck again. Bryan kept the belt on the entire beatdown, kudos. Can't wait to hear Cole's ranting of his dance moves. Also had some words with Michael Cole haters, sadly the Cole is a Tool sign got lots of cheers during the sign showing during commercials. Did come across a few Nexus fans, including a few young kids who are obviously well-raised.

I really thought the E would be callous enough to finish off the Hart Dynasty breakup in Calgary. That would have been a little much, even for them. Don't get me wrong, though. Having the hometown team lose in such a fashion is more than enough of a middle finger to the live crowd.

That was one of the best opening segments Raw's had for a while. Having said that, SWEET JESUS, SHUT UP, COLE!!!

I didn't expect this to be the night for Zeke's big return. It's a pleasant one, though. He may not be the best wrestler in the world, but at least he's a breath of fresh air.

Love the resumed Goldust push, for however temporary it may be. Lord knows he works hard enough.

The "Stand Up For WWE" video package was such a pretentious waste, but that's a conversation for a different thread.

It was Orton vs. Barrett vs. Cena vs. Sheamus - Bret was the special guest referee (who wore street clothes, stayed out of the ring, and pounded the mat in support of Orton). (edit: Cena was pulled from the match by Barrett and never showed up at all after Raw was done, so ultimately it was really a triple-threat)

Where were you sitting? I was four rows behind the GM's computer. My arm made it onto TV once.

The best part was the guy with the Taber corn sign, leading to a small "Taber corn" chant. Then security confiscated the sign and everyone got mad, leading to a huge "Taber corn" chant. That was awesome.

Speaking of Stand Up, I'm proud of the Calgary audience (we're pretty right wing here) cheering decently for Obama and booing the shit out of George W during that segment. Good on ya, Cowtown!

Morrison pushing Miz when Show called him out for a Captain vs. Captain match was the funniest thing Morrison has ever done (I say this having loathed all their "comedy" when they had The Dirt Sheet).

What happened to R-Truth? Was he detained because he tried to get buck past customs?

It warms my heart to see Goldust and Aksana together, the Million Dollar Golden Loving Couple. And look at Goldust squashing people in 2010! He should have written a book years ago.

Ziggler got some good zingers in on Bryan in between Bryan quoting Lance Storm and trying to remember the rest of his lines.

Cole's best line re: Vickie: "If those two break up, I'm getting in line!"

Sheffield needs to come back, like immediate-like. The mighty Nexus used to be a wall of NNNNNNN but now it's just NNNN. They are half of what they once were and they show no interest in making Wade's Waterboy (kudos to Calgary for the "Waterboy" chant) be the fifth N.

I was 11th row in the same area- on the right end of the section behind the announce desk (seat 15). The guy who took the sign was "my" security guy as that's where I would come up to ring area. Don't think I made it on TV although I wasn't looking too hard.

Yeah the Taber thing was awesome and I have no fucking idea why they'd be so retarded as to take that sign. Wasn't it during commercial break when that happened anyways? The guy got booed about 30 seconds later when he tried a "Go Leafs Go" chant.

That was awesome. I also loved the guy with the Bret Screwed Bret sign before Raw started - I thought people were going to attack him.

When Joe got thrown into the turnbuckle, I was hoping he would pull out his old man's "flop up over the turnbuckle, come back down, turn around, stagger out into a clothesline" thingy.
Also, there is nothing wrong with Husky channeling Jerry Blackwell. Nothing at all.

The sight of the Smackdown flag running behind the ring/Big Show/Edge at the end of the match ruled.

Wade wins this weekend, Cena comes out next week to his music, to which Barret cuts the music off half way and says "No more~! Oh, and here's your new t-shirt and hat, John. Black and yellow are perfect colors for you."

Or maybe he has Cena wear Captain Insano's singlet.

Upon further thought (I'm not gonna say I slept on it and dreamed about CeNexus, but... anyway...), I realize the Nexus being down to four members plus Cena couldn't be more convenient. (i.e. Sheffield and Tarver going down to injury couldn't be more convenient.) The four Nexus members plus their Waterboy equals five, the exact number needed for a Survivor Series team - and potentially the blow off for the CeNexus. No way Cena gets "fired" or leaves Nexus before Survivor Series.
