And as Jericho himself pointed out, you don't need to be booked strong as long as you look strong/good.
But you need to have a track record before that happens. See Evan Bourne for how jobbing every week when you don't have the track record can derail a person.

No love for Miz's new shirt? "Hello, I'm Awesome!" I don't remember anyone talking about it in the past couple of weeks. Great shirt. So, is the submission going to happen on the top of the cage or dangling from one of the corners hanging over the edge?
Speaking of Edge, wonder how he'll fare against the laptop in the cell? Make it happen!
Natalya has a big heart. Two big hearts. Enormous hearts.
Melina can just go away and take those stupid paparazzi with her Tori Spelling wannabe face.
Jericho's list. 'Nuff said. I sat up to "American Starship Eagle", well, along with the Sting, Luger, Flair, Nash, Hall stuff, too. No wins over Mick Foley?

Sounded suspiciously like Verne Troyer's voice put through a filter. I did enjoy the "What are you doing Edge?" bit, needed to say it a tad slower to get a full HAL feeling though.

I like that after a week of the "Hello I'm Awesome" t-shirt debuted, there was already a "Hello I Tapped Out" sign after the PPV.
Edge vs. laptop ruled. If that didn't turn him face (which it didn't) nothing will. It wouldn't have worked without the computer voice interacting with him.
Nexus and the GM have been nice changes, but there's still something about RAW where something new needs to happen. This is what happens with such a limited roster and no jobbers. It's hard to to come up with match ups we've never seen before.
I can't believe that this thread has over 3,000 referrals to it. That's got to be some sort of record (or it should say something about the popularity of Jericho).
I loved Nat winning. I was really hoping that she'd make it to the end and I was pleasantly surprised - hopefully it will lead to a long series of matches with Lay-Cool. I also loved them on commentary, if only for the fact that it shut up Lawler from making the same old idiotic comments he usually makes during Divas matches (now we need to get someone like that on Impact so we can shut up Tenay and Taz).
I love the crossover stuff with the Smackdown champions because it just made me realize how much I miss the pre-draft stuff. No artificial competition between the shows - no draft stuff. Hopefully we'll see more of the barriers between Raw and Smackdown come down with the move to Syfy.
Overall it was an excellent show (though I could do without Bourne jobbing.. *again* >_>). The Jericho stuff was just awesome and I loved the Edge vs. the Machine segment. It was so cheesy, sure, but you couldn't help but to laugh.
Sadly I missed the first half of the Miz/Bryan match but the bit I saw was really good. Loved the post-match segment too.
While I thought some of the dialogue was lame, I did like Edge losing it on the laptop and dropping the elbow. Even got a little blood the hard way.
Normally I might complain about a guy not jobbing on his way out, but Lord knows Jericho has done his fair share already. Hope he is back by the Rumble.
"I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ."
I agree that the dialogue was lame and the whole computer talking while Edge got pissed type of thing was in my opinion, pretty lame. I am hoping that we will have a regular GM soon (presumably Michael Cole) instead of having ,"And I quote" from the computer.
Sad to have Jericho leave but when he comes back, it will refreshing to probably have him in a new feud and hopefully stay heel when he returns.

How will Cole be revealed as the GM when it was clearly not him talking as the GM from the computer last night?
It's good to know that Jericho will probably be back again someday to freshen up the roster. More guys taking time off would do wonders for the show and probably the wrestlers, of course not everyone has the ability to jump right back in to the top of the card mix after a lengthy layoff.
Hopefully, Jericho doesn't do anymore VH1 flashback shows in his spare time.

I was preoccupied by the question of why Michael Cole has been reading all of these e-mails when they could have had Mr. Roboto doing the Raw GM bit all of these months.
Holy fuck shit motherfucker shit. Read comics. Fuck shit shit fuck shit I sold out when I did my job. Fuck fuck fuck shit fuck. Sorry had to do it....

The GM should totally be Matt Hardy given how much he has been screwing with Edge. Plus its the internet. It would be amazing if Matt Hardy's new found insanity online is actually part of his gimmick where the power of being GM has run to his head so much that he really does not care about being fired, (since he would be a GM, after all).
The problem with the eventual reveal is that the person has to have presumably gotten Vince's approval, unless Vince pulled a Steph and hired Mr. America/The GM without ever actually meeting the person or knowing who they are.
I can think of about ZERO storyline reasons why Vince would ever associate himself with Hardy unless they do an angle where Vince explains he gave Matt Hardy the power that he did because he is pissed at Jeff for bailing to the minor leagues and wanted to show him what he could have done if he stayed with the A team. But that would break so many WWE unoffical rules that it would be impossible, plus the Pay Off would involve Jeff coming back, which probably won't be on the table.
All of this is irrelvant because: 1. Fantasy booking is an understatement for what I've described.
2. WWE probably won't even address why Mr. McMahon made person X the GM if it does not make any sense.
Yeah, I heard some it. Sorry, I need to take better notes. They had another lively commentary. :-) They were talking about a sign in the crowd and how to say Pizza in Japanese. I remember that.
