The first five are an excellent list of COLOR COMMENTATORS.

Bischoff stopped being Nitro's play by play man when he turned heel, and Vince stopped being an announcer when he became the Mr. McMahon character. (Not counting that one Retro RAW last year when he stepped back behind the announce booth).

Jerry Lawler not being up on his Smackdown storylines would not be surprising in the least bit. One of my favorite parts about Cole going heel is that it makes Lawler sound like a total pinhead. I'm not even sure what kind of value Lawler adds to the show anymore.

I also think that Nexus is dead, but only this version of Nexus. I can see Barrett going back to the drawing board and adding guys from Season 2 to give it another go.

I just don't see heel Cena working any better than heel Goldberg did.

I think the Season 2 guys would have been recruited already had they not turned out to be so bloody awful. That brawl at the end of the season was just so damaging that I wouldn't be shocked if they pulled the plug on their Nexus plan immediately afterwards. With Kaval firmly in as a face and Riley tied up with Miz, who's left of any value to add to Nexus? Husky Harris? EVIL~! Percy Watson?

The difference between Cena and Goldberg is that Cena already played the heel role effectively in the past. Even before he became Evil White Rapper John Cena, he's had a history of drawing major heat going all the way back to his OVW days. I think heel Cena's one of those things that sounds like a bad idea on paper, but would work very well in practice.

I think the fact that the first five were color commentators goes to show that the position of a "heel" announcer really only works if it's the guy whose job it is to give opinions.

I'm not sure how well a heel play by play guy could work. Ass-kissing The Miz and hating Daniel Bryan can only go on for so long and then what's left to do? And when Miz and Bryan *aren't* on screen, what is he supposed to do? He can't go back to 'normal', he has to stay a heel. Does he start saying "Cena with a stupid armdrag"?

I'm also against any time that actual talent (especially talent that's not really over in any stretch of the word) is brought out just to be made fun of in the attempt to get an *announcer* over.

I wish Cole would. For the record, all I'm saying about Cole is that I'm enjoying his work, not that it's a good idea that is benefiting the product in the long run. Cole makes me laugh and in My Universe, making me laugh = Good. My Universe > WWE Universe to me.

According to the Fozzy website (fozzyrock.com), they have a tight touring schedule in Europe from Oct 9 on -- whole bunch of UK dates, plus a couple of dates in France, & also a few Australia dates in early December. So Chris will be on hiatus for a while, which is fine. (It's good for the high-end guys to get away time.) So really the only question is how they opt to write him out.

Get punted by Randy? Likely, but oh, so yaaaaaawn.

I guess Jericho eating an Orton punt works, but now that Randy is a megaface, the idea of him kicking a guy in the head to put him out for months at a time is kind of strange. (And not PG at all.)

According to the spoilers, there are other less then PG antics with Edge as well. I am also not a big fan of it either. Maybe the fans will eat it up, but the last time they removed Jericho in a rather heel fashion, he kick started the fans really starting to turn on Cena. I doubt it will happen with Orton due to being more over then Cena when they pulled that stunt.

I have a feeling with the reactions Randy Orton has been getting, added to the fact that he won the World Title and won't be labeled as a "choker" for his face run, they have now positioned Orton to take over short term so Cena can turn and get a nice spark to his character.

Good point and for the first time in quite some time, it would actually make Cena interesting.

Can't help singing "Kill the wabbit, kill the wabbit" during Bryan's theme. He looks like a young Chuck Norris.

"He's a vegan-and he doesn't own a TV!" has to be the most non-insulting insult ever.

So Edge is so pissed at the GM, he's gonna, he's gonna...uh, walk off angrily?

I heard a rumor that there isn't a Sheamus action figure because they can't find plastic white enough to match his skin. They should bring back the King of the Ring because that dude could rock a robe and crown, fella.

I agree on the Michael Cole comment and reiterating my point that I am hoping Michael Cole is the Raw GM now just because Cole is really, really bad as a heel commentator; he tries way too hard to fill the role of a heel commentator and it's just not natural for him compared to other heel commentators such as Bobby "The Brain", Jesse "The Body" Ventura, Lawler from the 90's and so forth where they went about their roles as if it was second nature to them.

Sheamus as KOTR? I can see it and it would work. I just wish they would use it like when Brock Lesnar won it and whoever won the KOTR would not also be the KOTR but be the #1 contender for the title.

Lawler, after Jericho screamed at Morrison that he was a stupid man: Can you imagine him calling you a stupid man?
Cole: He has, on numerous occasions...he couldn't remember my name for a number of years.

Loved the reference to the era of Jericho butchering interviewers' names.

I find Edge and Jericho's increasing frustration with the GM interesting, especially considering both storylines are developing on their own paths without the two interacting to complain about the GM. It's possible they'll join forces at some point, but for now I'm liking that they're keeping them separate and having them pursue the matter individually.

The Miz/Bryan stuff is great - Miz's intensity in that segment was fantastic.
