Hello, had a pretty good holiday, considering there was hardly any sun. Is there really a PPV this week? Wow, time flies when you push WWE down the list of priorities. I did see some of Raw last night, but not all, because frankly, it's gotten so predictable it's pretty damn funny.

Eugene getting beat up by HHH again. Nothing new. LOVE the new entrance video, Hunter. A little of the old, little of the new, I approve. What I don't approve is how they handled the Eugene-HHH thing. It was promising for sure, but then they had to act like it wasn't happening just so they could pimp Orton, and now it seems forced.

I hate Randy Orton's new music. I've heard so many songs that sound like that (most in WWE shows recently), and I hate them all. Call me a purist, but damn, just remix the Evolution song or something! Christian and Y2J, well, they're quality people, but how many times has Y2J been the IC champ, about 100? Move his ass up the card! No offense, but can't we go a year with out these gimmicky matches, just to see what would happen?

Another annoying thing, where's HBK? Oh that's right, he's not coming back until Unforgiven. So, why did we see him at the RNC? Was he keeping a seat warm for JBL? Trish Stratus rules. I didn't see the women's match unfortunately, but I never ever want to hear the words "wardrobe malfunction" again. I heard that from another room, just so you know. God, does the Unforgiven card look boring or what? I'm not sold at all. And remember people, next month it's the multi-PPV shuffle again, so hide your wallets.

HHH is a naughty, naughty, man. Me like!

RAW Thoughts:

Opening segment was good. Bischoff was excellent as Mr. Peanut. Everyone watching guessed what was under the sheet- I guessed a midget. It was the IC title. Oh, and a BAD Seinfeld impersonation by Bisch...So does Bischoff not care about his sister watching anymore? I believe he explicitly said he wanted Eugene gone....For Christian's return, they bring back "CLB". Terrible....The 8-man tag was all-right. The best part was Regal and Benoit coming out to Benoit's music- they looked like certified ass-kickers....

Orton's interview to Grisham was blah. He cuts a better heel promo...Sorry, but Trish/Nidia sucked. I assumed the "wardrobe malfunction" was on purpose, since it DID lead to the finish...."Chick Kick" equals bad name for a move, especially when called by JR....I actually liked the Triple H/Eugene match. As long as the get rid of the Eugene character that is. If they bring him back two weeks from now fighting in the mid-card, it'll all be for naught. Nice job selling from Dinsmore. And much like NHS, I appreciated the Texas Tornado punch by Eugene....

So, is Edge a face again or what?....The divas segment was strange. That's a step up from "unwatchable". I wouldn't mind Christy winning, she at least seems to have the personality and enthusiasm for the job....Orton v.s Kane was okay. I don't know if they're building Orton as a face the right way, though.

Although we'd all agree that Orton/HHH has been pushed WAY too fast, I think the way they are building Orton is solid. He is unbelievable as a simply nice guy, or fighting champ like Benoit. He has to be smarmy, a rogue that you root for in spite of yourself.
I'm still completely confused about crowd reactions though. The crowd seemed to be trying to say RKO with him in his Grisham interview, they gave a decent pop when he came out, but were otherwise dead except when he hit Kane with the chair shot. For every other person on the roster, crowd reactions, good or bad, are predictable (except Canada, but that's a whole nother story.)

It's really great to see Christian back.

Pro wrestling history was made during Monday's show.

It was the first time I've ever seen an arm wrestling match actually come to a clean finish. And not just once, but three times. Usually it's just like a "contract signing", where a pier six brawl erupts. Talk about a swerve.

Something else that bothered me:

I also believe that all large cash sums on display in wrestling should be in a Haliburton metal briefcase. The lone exception being a 70s/80s retro Converse gym bag ala Andre.

I'm a little late, but I had to be in a fantasy football draft that just finished now. I have these thoughts about RAW...

1) Bischoff/Christian/Y2J/IC Belt -> Hmmm...the rarely used 30-day rule comes into play. Just a thought from last week, if Edge would have been healthy, I'm sure the turn would have happened. Back to this week, we get to reignite the Christian/Y2J saga. Guys, think of something new, please.

2) 8-man,4X4, whatever you can say match, ok match, but Flair has got to go, please. At least he did not do his go up to the top routine so he could get thrown down.

3) Orton interview -> still looks strange that Orton is a face.

4) Lita Kane (wife/partner of Kane Kane) and Trish get into it, verbally, of course. Nidia comes by, talks trash in Spanish, just a little too fast than what I was learning in high school. Nidia throws the juice at Trish, and in a couple parts of the building, Kane Kane and Y2J are wondering, "They took our coffee routine from us."

5) Trish/Nidia -> Trish w/wet hair...MMMMMMMMMMMMMM. OK match, stupid ending.

6) HHH/Eugene steel cage match -> it was just the constant whining of JR that annoyed me, and as time went on, he got really annoying. Taken from a few years ago, HHH was Henning, and Eugene's arm was Flair's head. Guess we won't be seeing Eugene for a while, or maybe for good. Guess we are waiting for ol' Nick to come.

7) Kane Kane and Lita Kane talk and watch movies, I mean, tape of what happened to Shawn Michaels. Oh, yeah, some tape.

8) Jericho/Tomko -> upset win by Tomko, which leads to more JR annoyance. Yes, once again, it is "Just Make JR mad night" on Raw.

9) Now, we get to "Free Playboy TV", I mean, the Diva Search. My mom was actually in the room, don't know why. They arm wrestle, my girl Christy wins, and throws chili at the others. Don't get me into the talk of chili, I'm trying to lose weight. Good time to sign up for a fitness club. Please, I want a redhead in the family, we don't have any. I'm available. While watching this, I talked back to Mom about when wrestling was better, like when midgets actually wrestled. Amy is done this week.

10) The final two of the three get to box next week. We need Michael Buffer, Don King, anyone. It's the Seattle Slugfest, the Battle in Seattle, Clash at the Key, choose your own title for this.

11) Orton/Kane -> I thought we ended it 10 weeks early, but the team of Bischoff and Big Nose come out and brings the cage down, again, and restarts the match, which angers JR again, and really annoys me, again. OK, I didn't even see that the chair was still in the ring and WHAMMO!!!! Then to really annoy me, the rest of Evolution comes out, and JR starts up again. At least Orton comes out fighting, and leaves the cage area.

OK overall, we saw a capper to one rivalry, a continuation of another, and more things that annoyed me. The attacks were fine, but with JR blabbering like a baby, I'm like, "Shut up!"

Got to go now. I just have to check on a couple of things. Probably won't get to Smackdown until Friday. I'll be working out, and then watching the first NFL regular season game this year after that.

Later.

I'll take that bet. And if it happens, you can say "I told you so" and I won't hold a grudge .
Did I forget to gloat about this? Sorry. ;-)

Yes, we were had for a split second. But you know what? Had Benoit gone to the WWF in the early 90s instead of Japan, they'd probably have stuck a gimmick just like that on him. Then again, let's be honest...
