This show's for you, Boss Man.

Dear Fuckheads at Fox News: It's Spring Green, WI - NOT "Green Spring, WI". There is no "Green Spring" in Wisconsin. I know - I lived there (Spring Green, which exists, that is).

Fighting evil by moonlight, winning love by daylight, never running from a real fight, because it is time to WAKE UP! It's about time for Raw, live from Kansas City, Missouri...and a Fashion Report, too!

In the ring, Bisch, in grey suit and blue shirt, cuts a promo on the fans. Hey - I am no longer illiterate! Bisch presents HHH's four prospective opponents for the PPV: HBK, Benoit, Edge, and Orton. But first he books Orton vs. Batista - Randy must win to get his name on the ballot (well, that telegraphs that result). HHH, in black hairedskull iron cross tshirt, black iron cross undies, carrying the Title, comes out to be indignant towards the fan-booking. HHH then lets us choose to: screw ourselves, rot in hell, try to get a life, or roll in a ball. I vote for ball-form! Benjamin, in blue fullcuts with silver sides, walks out and steals the mic from HHH. HE presents some options, too. HHH clocks Shelton and Bisch calls for a ref.

HHH vs. Benjamin. Jack Doan in on-the-scene with teleportation ability, in stripes. A minute in, they're both lying down, signaling AdBreak's time to shine.

Cont. HHH works Shelton's left shoulder. HHH with a beltshot->DQ. Post-match, HHH Pedigrees Benjamin on the floor. Boo. Hiss.

FOOTAGE! of Christy winning the DivaSearch.

Fuck-off, Simon. You're a channel-flipper.

Hurricane, in black "H" poncho and neon-green tights, with mask, and Rosey, in blue "R" shirt with orange bolt, vs. Rhyno, in black "Rhyno" singlet and
Tajiri, in black pants with dragon and flaming left hem. Chris Kay is the official.

In the back, Kane and Todd Grisham sit around.

FOOTAGE! of last week's hospital stuff, intersperced with FOOTAGE! of two weeks ago.

Included, Snitsky. Presently, Kane, in black, and Todd, in black suit, white shirt and blue tie, have a talk. Kane appears all distraught, using a lot of "we", "us", and
"our". Kane promises death for Snitsky. We really needed an above-camera angle where Kane spreads his arms wide, looks to the sky, and howls his "NO!". Without that, this whole story is crap.

Smackdown! rebound. Gangrel still jobs. Man, that guy's opening was one of the best ever. Everything else must've sucked.

On que, Benoit and Regal come to life. Eugene plays with scissors.

All this occurs in a lockerroom.

Gene Snitsky, in plain black undies, to plain guitar-riff music, with FOOTAGE! of pre-taped comments, vs. Val Venis (he's still around?), in towell, purple "Livin' Large" undies thereunder. Chad "I'll allow it" Patton wears the stripes for this match. The crowd does a classy "baby killer" chant, which Snitsky no-sells. Snitsky does the "angry, big, strong guy" - he needs furry undies, and a power vest, and a magic sword. I have the power!

FOOTAGE! of peole camping-out in LA - oh, for tickets! I thought that was the local homeless population.

Flair, in tan suit, blue shirt and yellow tie, has problems with Randy Orton. So he cuts a promo about how Orton's never killed the Legend of Flair. Randy, in black suit and white shirt with pleated front, comes out to rebutt. Orton talks-up Flair, but then takes Ric to task for toadying up to HHH. Randy tries to talk Ric back from the dark side. Flair's face exhibits doubt, and you can see his aged thoughtfullness. THIS is the kind of emotion and intelligence we need in this angle.

Shawn Michaels, in cut-open black "HBK" radiant cross tshirt, studded black leather chaps, and red "Shawn Michaels/HBK" sundered-hearts tights, and Jericho, in blue "Y2J" silhoutte tights, wearing the IC Title, vs Christian!, in black tights with pink "C"s on white crests and Tomko, in black undies with red butt-detailing. Hebner officiates, in stripes. Jericho's new hair makes him look like Spike Dudley. The heels to to the floor, so AdBreak does his thing.

Cont. Christian! uses the ropes to pin HBK.

In the back, Batista vents to HHH. Batista wonders what's up with Flair, but HHH belies those worries. HHH gives a little pep talk.

Regal, in black suit, white shirt and tie, and Eugene, in white jacket and blue undies, his arm in a sling, with a butler, a transvestite, and a guy sitting in a barber chair. This is to give us a taste of what we, the fans, could vote on for the Eugene vs. Bisch stipulation for the PPV. Bisch interrupts the boring segment (to protest the lack of wrestling on this show?) to discipline Eugene - by kicking guy sitting in a barber chair.

FOOTAGE! of the Taboo Tuesday press conference. Hey, you kids should be in school.

Lawler, in black suit and yellow tshirt, and JR, in black suit, white shirt, tie, and black hat, pimp the WW Fantasy game, while they play the role of Greek Chorus.

Trish, Gail, and Molly (is she wearing makeup!?) are in the carpeted ring, to welcome Christy. Christy speaks, and then the heels act heelish, introducing
Carmella, on the Titantron. Oh, fuck this. MNF, here I come. Oh, fuck, whatever crossdressing shit they've got on ABC now is even stupider than this. (Trust me, that's no mean feat.)

Christy vs. Gail, Molly, and Kim. Chris Kay is the referee for this "match". Christy gets stripped to her undies - they match! Okay, you went through the fucking contest, now drop this crap.

In Evolution's lockerroom, Batista bounces while Flair sits, looking pensive.

Batista, in gold "Batista" undies with red crotch flame vs. Randy, in red "Orton" undies with gold hip scrawls. Chad "I'll allow it" Patton is the official for this match. It's
already 9:58 when the match starts. Mist-match, HHH involves himself in the match. Flair runs down and confronts HHH, but it's all a ruse, as Flair chairshots Randy. Powerbomb->pin. Post-match, the heels talk tash to the fallen Orton.

Overall: The night's multiple-choice selections were getting pretty old, fast. The Evolution storyline is what anchors this show. Thumbs in the middle.

Edit: formating was totally wrong.

Jesus Christ, Darwin would have a field day with the idiots who booked that final segment tonight. Every single bit of logic, from Randy's awesome promo to Batista's dominance of the match, pointed to Flair turning on Hunter & Batista. That Randy Orton - I guess he can't work WWE-style, eh? Way to completely destroy all the face heat you're trying to build for the kid...

And WHAT THE FUCK is up with my boy Jericho? He looked like JEFF JARRETT tonight, of all people. Somebody should fire his hairdresser, STAT.

That was an awesome promo by Randy. The fans'll probably choose him against Flair for Taboo Tuesday.

Also, I like Gene Snitsky and all his facial expressions. I hope his Pumphandle Slam is called the "Coathanger".

Once again, the WWE waistes something I've wanted to see and thought about doing since Flair joined HHH and turned it to another swerve for a rather boring show. The problem I have with the WWE when HHH gets the belt is that they do cool things like Orton's speech, pushing Booker T, RVD and Kane, bringing back Foley for Hell in the Cell and giving many times for Orton to finally turn on him and take over Evolution, but like clockwork, they screw it up. I can't imagine the fustruation of trying to write for that show.

Anyone else get the feeling its better to get Orton out of Taboo instead of having Benoit or Shawn beat him out of the spot online. I know they want to push Orton, but I think he is done. I am a bit disappointed by it since he was starting to grow on me, but if he can't get massive pops in his hometown then he should be in the midcard with Batista and Flair. Damnit, that was a great speech.

Bob Geigel mentioned on RAW? The date of an NWA World Title change involving Dusty Rhodes being mentioned on RAW? Never thought those would occur on the same night.
For those of you not paying attention the past 30 years, the last portion of the Orton/Batista match was for you. Flair can still get the fans to believe he is going to turn face, only to do what Ric Flair does and use a cheap shot to cement his being a heel. For past precedent, see Flair/Sting. And, get Flair into an old NWA town where he has serious history, and he can break out a classic interview.
Bischoff's head being shaved would be novel, if only it wasn't done 5 years ago.
How can Kane give a sit down interview and not try to barbecue the interviewer? Shame.
If Edge gets the World Title match at the PPV, the word rigged really has to be in neon lights. Even out with an injury, the crowd still doesn't care about him. Perhaps he was better off on SD.

Like you didn't see Flair attacking Orton! I knew it was going to happen, and to be honest, I'm happy it did. That is the only was the "Legend Killer" can honestly call himself that. Granted I wish Flair was a face and vice versa, but I'm happy for it.
Oh, and please for the love of all that is good, please stop with the Diva crap. I swear if it weren't for Molly looking uber hott, the channel wouldve been turned.

RAW Thoughts:

Good opening promo, especially when Trips was picking on the people at ringside....you KNEW the Benjamin/Trips match wouldn't end clean. Triple H wouldn't end Benjamin's streak without hype, and Benjamin wouldn't take another one from the game....The Tag match was confusing. What happened to Hurricane's outburst last week?....The Kane interview segment did nothing to advance the storyline, but according to the Torch, they had to rewrite that part because a travel miscommunication forced Lita to miss the show....

I dug the Regal/Eugene/Benoit backstage segment for some reason. Maybe for Benoit's comic timing....Snitsky v.s Venis was, well, there. That is one ugly dude, and the facial expressions do nothing for him....The Flair interview was BOSS, and so was Orton's. As much as he may have sucked on the mic in some people's opinions, he was GOLD here. Best of all, he said what we were all thinking. Best segment of the night, by far....The tag match was disappointing, and seemed a bit out of place. This is a match they should've hyped better....

Regal's segment in the ring would've been better if there wasn't a live crowd, because they didn't pick up on his subtle humor....I hope that was Carmella's only appearance, because if not, it makes a mockery of that contest (I know, I know....). Christy looked good though, but why did the crowd boo her when she thanked them?....Orton v.s Batista was just a backdrop for the Flair fake-turn....Not a good RAW. Only segment worth watching was the Flair interview.

WTF is up with having them promo an interview with Lita and then say they couldnt interview her? WTF? Its not real! That made no sense.

SNITSKY is awesome though. He is like a really lame Goldberg. Poor Val Venis. He finally gets a match on RAW, first time in years, and he gets to job to a jobber. I hope that paycheck is worth it.

Molly was showing some good cleavage for a change. Nice.

So, is Carmella on RAW too? And, I like how she says she had more personality than Christy, yet last week Trish told her to buy a personality.

I feel bad for Beniot. His only spot on the show tonight is some lame throwaway backstage bit with Eugene? Why was he in his gear then?

Because he's AWESOME and ready to fight ANYTIME.

And they really should have turned Flair. The fans never wanted to boo him when he turned heel in the first place.

According to the Torch, Lita didn't make it to KC, so they had to rewrite the segment.

Snitsky is so bad he's good. I should hate him, but I don't. Not horrible in the ring, if not for the fact that Batista, Heidenreich, Luther, Tomko, and probably a couple others I'm forgetting more or less do the same stuff. There has to be some kind of "hoss diffrentiation process" these guys can undergo.

Damn you WWE, for involving a Flair moment in anything to do with Orton. I've successfully boycotted all these Randy for weeks now, and was set to do the same tonight but I needed to know what Flair was gonna do. A Fan, why were you so disappointed? Would a Flair turn have yielded anything great? He'd go from being Triple H's lackey to Orton's, no big change there. They already did this when they ran that Flair/Triple H match in Greensboro I think it was, the title match after Bad Blood (Nash/HHH). There's nowhere to go with a Flair face turn, and he's been back and forth enough in the last couple years. This twist at least sets up a "who the hell is Randy Orton to tell Ric Flair what to do" direction, which is a hell of a lot more interesting than any more Flair/HHH matches could be.

Likin' Christian getting one over on HBK. It'll be fun.

Ugh, no one will be voting for Edge I see.

Well I have to quote JR from the Flair/HHH from Greensboro as the moral to this RAW and the learned by Randy Orton tonight. And that moral is boys and girls.....

A leopard never changes his spots

Meaning....he can sucker you in to thinking it may have actually happened, but by the end of the day, those spots are still the same. And in Flair's case, no matter how much we think he's doesn't like being HHH's bitch, but in the end, he does. HBK learned the lesson in Greensboro, now Randy Orton has. But so have we...TWICE!!

But the real question is this...who willtry to convince Flair next, so he can in turn betray them and sucker us in for a third time? Only time will tell.

The Flair/Orton speeches were made even better when it went to commercial and the guy from SportsCentre was looking all thoughtful and said "I think that Randy Orton has given Ric Flair, and all of us, somethimg to think about."

Y'know, say what you will about the crapfest that was the Diva Search, but this Christy seems to have a lot going for her.

Comfortable on the mic? Seems to be.
Decent enough voice? Less grating than some divas, so check.
Hot? Hell yes.
Willing to take bumps? Yup
Eager to be there? Yup
Able to get a reaction out of the crowd? Sounded like it on my tv.
Good, unique look? Yup
Personality? Yup
Energetic? She's a fireball.
Acting Ability? Well, what little we've seen puts her mountains above Lita, so if that is a criteria for diva-hood *shrugs* she's got enough.

Now we just have to see if she can learn to wrestle (a la Trish Stratus), or if she becomes just another set of T&A (a la Stacey Kiebler / Torrie Wilson). Judging by her physique, energy, and enthusiasm, I would say she has a pretty fair chance of turning out like the former rather than the latter.

In any case, good luck to her -- while the diva segments didn't exactly keep me riveted, I think the WWE might just manage to spin something good out of it. When Trish first came to the E, there were a lot of haters. Now, some of us really enjoy her in ring work. Give Christy a break -- and some time -- and we might be pleasantly surprised.
